    Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller for Induction Machine Feed by Three Level Inverter

    In this paper, using synthesis of a hybrid control is applied to the speed of an induction motor feed by three-level inverter. Based on the combination of the fuzzy logic and the sliding mode approach, this method has the advantage of combining the performances of the two types of controllers. The fuzzy logic confers a very appreciable flexibility to the reasoning which uses and makes it possible to take into account Imprecisions and uncertainties, The sliding mode is a controller for nonlinear systems with non-constant parameters; it leads to precision and robustness, and allows solving problems obtained by conventional control laws. To lift the stresses of external disturbance and makes the system more performing and more robust, the two controllers of fuzzy logic and sliding mode are combined

    The Role of Wijaya Kusuma's Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R) on Adolescent Health Problems

    The issue of adolescent health is important for national development. Adolescents need a place that can provide facilities in the form of correct information and life skills improvement programs. So as to deal with various health problems of adolescent. Government efforts to overcome these problems through the establishment of the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R) that can be done in schools. PIK-R in schools that have been formed can be assessed its role to adolescent health problems. The purpose of this research is to know the role of PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma in overcoming the health problem of adolescent among non-members of PIK-R. The research used qualitative design with case study approach. The data were collected by focus group discussion (FGD) technique on 10 non PIK-R member students. The results of the study reported that PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma has an important role as health information source for non PIK-R member students in facing adolescent health problems. Besides, teachers and NGOs. Awareness of non-members of PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma related to adolescent's vulnerability to high adolescent health problems, peers and family plays an important role in adolescent health behavior

    Infant’s Growth and Development at the Age of 6-12 Months Based on Breasfeeding

    Infancy is a golden and critical period in the cycle of life. In this period, an infant that is not provided with exclusive breastfeeding has 14 times higher risk to death compared with an infant that is provided with exclusive breastfeeding. Malnutrition in the first year causes reduced brain cells up to 15-20% which leads to impaired growth and development of infant. Exclusive breastfeeding can fulfill the need for nutrients within the first 6 months of life. The objective of this study was to analyze the difference in growth and development of infants at the age of 6-12 months based on breastfeeding in the working area of Puskesmas Perawatan Ngkeran, Aceh Tenggara Regency. This is used comparative analytical resaerch with cross sectional design. The sample was 124 infants consisting of 62 infants with exclusive breastfeeding and 62 non exclusive breastfeeding, taken by purposive sampling. The data were collected by using questionnaires through interviews, measurement and observation. They were analyzed using chi square and logistic regression testing for confounding check. The results showed that there was a significant difference in growth and development of infants based on breastfeeding (p value=0.000) with prevalence ratio (PR)=4.167 (95%CI: 1.867-9.301), which indicated that the infant who did not get exclusive breastfeeding had 4.167 times higher risk to experience bad growth and development. Based on the examination of confounding variable found that food supplementation was the variable with the risk that influences infant’s growth and development. Mothers are expected to practice exclusive breastfeeding, health practitioners are suggested to conduct more counseling of exclusive breastfeeding for pregnant mothers, to have early breastfeeding initiation, to create supporting groups of exclusive breastfeeding and to issue health policy of exclusive breastfeeding

Most of the intrusion detection systems are used data mining techniques such as clustering, outlier detection, classification, classification through learning techniques. Most of the researchers have been applied soft computing techniques for making effective decision over the network dataset for enhancing the detection accuracy in Intrusion Detection System. Few researchers also applied artificial intelligence techniques along with data mining algorithms for making dynamic decision. This paper discusses about the number of intrusion detection systems that are proposed for providing network security. Finally, comparative analysis made between the existing systems and suggested some new ideas for enhancing the performance of the existing systems

    Student Achievement in Turkey, According to Question Types Used in PISA 2003-2012 Mathematic Literacy Tests

    The aim of this study is to determine the level of achievement of students participating in Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2003 and PISA 2012 tests in Turkey according to questions in the mathematical literacy test. This study is a descriptive survey. Within the scope of the study, the mathematical literacy test items were classified as multiple-choice, complex multiple-choice and constructed response items according to the different question types. The ratio of correct and partially correct and incorrect response given to each question type has been determined. Findings show that the achievements of students differ according to different types of questions. While the question type with the highest success average in the PISA 2003 test was multiple-choice, students got the highest scores from complex multiple-choice questions in the PISA 2012 test. The questionnaire with the lowest success average was found to be complex multiple-choice questions in the PISA 2003 test while students got the lowest scores from constructed response items in the PISA 2012 test. According to the constructivist education approach effectuated in 2005-2006 academic year, it is expected to observe a rise in constructed response question type; however, findings of the study reveal that the success of constructed response questions is decreased according to the application years

    Concept Drift Identification using Classifier Ensemble Approach

    In Internetworking system, the huge amount of data is scattered, generated and processed over the network. The data mining techniques are used to discover the unknown pattern from the underlying data. A traditional classification model is used to classify the data based on past labelled data. However in many current applications, data is increasing in size with fluctuating patterns. Due to this new feature may arrive in the data. It is present in many applications like sensornetwork, banking and telecommunication systems, financial domain, Electricity usage and prices based on its demand and supplyetc .Thus change in data distribution reduces the accuracy of classifying the data. It may discover some patterns as frequent while other patterns tend to disappear and wrongly classify. To mine such data distribution, traditionalclassification techniques may not be suitable as the distribution generating the items can change over time so data from the past may become irrelevant or even false for the current prediction. For handlingsuch varying pattern of data, concept drift mining approach is used to improve the accuracy of classification techniques. In this paper we have proposed ensemble approach for improving the accuracy of classifier. The ensemble classifier is applied on 3 different data sets. We investigated different features for the different chunk of data which is further given to ensemble classifier. We observed the proposed approach improves the accuracy of classifier for different chunks of data

    A Preference Model on Adaptive Affinity Propagation

    In recent years, two new data clustering algorithms have been proposed. One of them is Affinity Propagation (AP). AP is a new data clustering technique that use iterative message passing and consider all data points as potential exemplars. Two important inputs of AP are a similarity matrix (SM) of the data and the parameter ”preference” p. Although the original AP algorithm has shown much success in data clustering, it still suffer from one limitation: it is not easy to determine the value of the parameter ”preference” p which can result an optimal clustering solution. To resolve this limitation, we propose a new model of the parameter ”preference” p, i.e. it is modeled based on the similarity distribution. Having the SM and p, Modified Adaptive AP (MAAP) procedure is running. MAAP procedure means that we omit the adaptive p-scanning algorithm as in original Adaptive-AP (AAP) procedure. Experimental results on random non-partition and partition data sets show that (i) the proposedalgorithm, MAAP-DDP, is slower than original AP for random non-partition dataset, (ii) for random 4-partition dataset and real datasets the proposed algorithm has succeeded to identify clusters according to the number of dataset’s true labels with the execution times that are comparable with those original AP. Beside that the MAAP-DDP algorithm demonstrates more feasible and effective than original AAP procedure

    In the modern era, workflows are adopted as a powerful and attractive paradigm for expressing/solving a variety of applications like scientific, data intensive computing, and big data applications such as MapReduce and Hadoop. These complex applications are described using high-level representations in workflow methods. With the emerging model of cloud computing technology, scheduling in the cloud becomes the important research topic. Consequently, workflow scheduling problem has been studied extensively over the past few years, from homogeneous clusters, grids to the most recent paradigm, cloud computing. The challenges that need to be addressed lies in task-resource mapping, QoS requirements, resource provisioning, performance fluctuation, failure handling, resource scheduling, and data storage. This work focuses on the complete study of the resource provisioning and scheduling algorithms in cloud environment focusing on Infrastructure as a service(IaaS). We provided a comprehensive understanding of existing scheduling techniques and provided an insight into research challenges that will be a possible future direction to the researchers

    Attitude Control of Quadrotor using PD Plus Feedforward controller on SO(3)

    This paper proposes   a simple scheme of Proportional-Derivative (PD) plus Feedforward controller on SO(3) to control the attitude of a quadrotor. This controller only needs the measurement of angular velocity to calculate the exponential coordinates of the rotation matrix. With rotation matrix as an error variable of the controller, the simulation shows that the controller is able to drive the attitude of the quadrotor from hovering condition to desired attitude and from an attitude condition goes to the hovering condition, despite the system is disturbed. When the system is convergent, the rotation error matrix will be a 3x3 identity matrix
