Investigating the causal relationship between renewable energy consumption and life expectancy in Turkey: A Toda-Yamamoto causality test
This study examines the causal relationship between renewable energy consumption and life expectancy in Turkey using the Toda-Yamamoto causality test. By analyzing data from 1990 to 2019, the study explores the relationship between these variables. The results of the Toda-Yamamoto causality test indicate that there is no Granger causality relationship from renewable energy consumption to life expectancy, indicating that renewable energy consumption does not have a significant impact on life expectancy in Turkey. However, the study finds a Granger causality relationship from life expectancy to renewable energy consumption, suggesting that improving life expectancy could lead to an increase in renewable energy consumption in Turkey. This study is significant as it provides insights into the relationship between renewable energy consumption and life expectancy in Turkey. The results highlight the importance of considering factors other than renewable energy consumption when examining public health outcomes. The study's findings can inform policymakers in developing energy policies that prioritize public health outcomes and promote sustainable energy practices
Does minimally invasive canal preparation provide higher fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth? A systematic review of in vitro studies
This systematic review aimed to investigate whether minimally invasive root canal preparation ensures higher fracture resistance compared to conventional root canal preparation in endodontically treated teeth (ETT). A comprehensive search strategy was conducted on the “PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus” databases, alongside reference and hand searches, with language restrictions applied. Two independent reviews selected pertinent laboratory studies that explored the effect of minimally invasive root canal preparation on fracture resistance, in comparison to larger preparation counterparts. The quality of the studies was assessed, and the risk of bias was categorized as low, moderate, or high. The electronic search yielded a total of 1,767 articles. After applying eligibility criteria, 8 studies were included. Given the low methodological quality of these studies and the large variability of fracture resistance values, the impact of reduced apical size and/or taper on the fracture resistance of the ETT can be considered uncertain. This systematic review could not reveal sufficient evidence regarding the effect of minimally invasive preparation on increasing fracture resistance of ETT, primarily due to the inherent limitations of the studies and the moderate risk of bias
Turkish version of the sleep self-report scale: Factorial structure and psychometric properties for 8-12-year old children
BACKGROUND Appropriate diagnosis of sleep problems is crucial, given the importance of sleep in childhood development. The Sleep Self-Report Scale (SSRS) is used to assess children's sleep problems in the United States and Spain, and this study aimed to expand the usability of this instrument by evaluating its validity and reliability in Turkish children. Methods Between March 2019 and December 2019, this methodological, descriptive, correlational study was conducted on 1138 children. The sociodemographic information form and the SSRS were used to collect data. Factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, and item-total score analysis were used for data analysis. Results The scale consists of 23 items and 3 sub-dimensions. Three sub-dimensions were observed to explain 58.79% of the total variance. All goodness of fit indices were >0.90 and the root mean square error was <0.08 in the confirmatory factor analysis. For the entire scale, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient is .94. Conclusions The SSRS was found to be a valid and reliable instrument to identify sleep problems. The factorial structure supported by exploratory and confirmatory analysis examines the most relevant areas of sleep in children
Building information modelling in healthcare facility management: a current evaluation
Health facilities are businesses that provide continuous health services throughout the day; therefore, health service management and facility management are considered complementary disciplines. A facility manager aims to solve the business challenges faced by the organization within the framework of criteria such as cost, quality and time, and to manage risks by forecasting them. In this context, effective facility management contributes to an organization's achievement of strategic and operational goals, and these goals are particularly vital for health facilities. With today's technological capabilities, the management of health facilities has evolved into a multidisciplinary management approach that includes more comprehensive topics such as health services, finance, energy, personnel, maintenance, technology, security, service, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). In this study, the resources used for the management of health facilities as a facility will be evaluated in terms of the contributions provided by stakeholders and current software, especially BIM. Specifically, the potential efficiency that BIM can create in the management of health facilities is important in terms of health, energy, economy and sustainability throughout the project life cycle. This study was prepared with the aim of creating awareness in line with relevant goals, and academic sources were examined, qualitative data on software usage were compiled and presented in tables within the scope of the research. Finally, the study is completed with the recommendations and conclusion section

Economics and ethics: Conflict or adaptation?
Economy and ethics have come face to face many times in the historical process. These encounters are often shaped by discussions about how to act together. However, these discussions can generally be evaluated in terms of the restriction of the economy with the concept of ethics, and this naturally created an atmosphere of conflict. These debates are shaped around topics such as; economic growth and environmental protection, efficiency and equality, globalization and fair trade, profit maximization and human rights, financial success and solidarity, competition and the public, decent work and personal responsibility, self-interest, and social regaining harmony
Self-assessment and learning outcome evaluation of interior architecture students using Flipped Versus traditional classroom education models
The aim of this present study is to determine the self-evaluation of learning outcomes of students using flipped classroom versus traditional learning education models in the senior year (fourth year) interior architecture students. This research was conducted for one full semester of senior year interior architecture graduate students, which takes 14-weeks of a time period each lasted 6 hr of a week which makes a total of 84 hr for a semester. Two different education models were used for a one-semester course for a total number of 112 students. The students were all informed about flipped and traditional edu cational models prior to the class selection. The groups were designated by the students’ education model choice. Class A was 57 students who attended to the flipped classroom model and Class B were 55 students who attended to the traditional lecture-based education Both courses have the same credit. The GPA scores of flipped classroom attendees were found to be higher than the traditional class GPA score rates. The student evaluation forms were determined to be better in the flipped classroom. The change of students to using flipped classroom from the traditional method leads to a student-centered education instead of teacher-centered education
