SHORT-TERM EFFECTS OF ACETAMIPRID ON COMMON CARP: GENOTOXIC, BIOCHEMICAL, AND HISTOPATHOLOGICAL RESPONSES
: Neonicotinoids such as acetamiprid are used extensively in veterinary medicine and agricultural practices. Acetamiprid has been reported to have effects on non-target organisms. This study investigates the effects of acetamiprid on common carp. Fish were exposed to 50 and 100mg/L acetamiprid concentrations for 48h and 96h. Then, blood, gill and liver samples were taken from the fish. As a result of micronucleus analysis, it was determined that acetamiprid increased the number of micronuclei after 48h of exposure at all concentrations 4-fold and after 96h of exposure, at 50mg/L concentration 2.5-fold and the 100mg/L concentration 3-fold. According to the hematocrit values, a decrease was observed in the acetamiprid-exposure groups. While a small change was detected in AOPP and MDA values in gills and livers, histopathological analyses showed that 96h exposure caused damage in both tissues. As a result, sublethal concentrations of acetamiprid caused toxic effects on common carp

Toxicological and physiological impact and bioremediation strategies for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are persistent organic pollutants composed of fused benzene rings, released into the environment through fossil fuel combustion, industrial processes, forest fires, and natural events. Due to their hydrophobicity and low solubility, PAHs are resistant to degradation and accumulate in ecosystems. Recognized as mutagenic and carcinogenic, PAHs pose serious risks to human and environmental health. In aquatic systems, they can harm microbial, plant, and animal life by disrupting growth, metabolism, genetic stability, and membrane integrity. This review explores the extent of PAH contamination in aquatic environments, focusing on their toxic effects on both invertebrate and vertebrate aquatic species, particularly ichthyofauna. It also discusses microbial and plant-based degradation processes and evaluates bioremediation strategies aimed at reducing PAH concentrations and associated toxicity. Certain microorganisms and plants have adapted mechanisms to break down PAHs, and studies show that their combined action can accelerate pollutant degradation. By highlighting these natural remediation pathways, this review emphasizes the importance of sustainable strategies to mitigate PAH impacts on aquatic ecosystems and protect overall ecosystem health
Lab-Scale Performance Evaluation of CaCl2/MgCl2/Silica Gel Sorbent Material for Thermal Energy Storage
Combining different materials into binary salts can significantly enhance the efficiency
and stability of Thermochemical Energy Storage (TCES) systems. This study aimed to
develop and characterise novel salt hydrate composite materials for TCES, focusing on a
mixture of magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and calcium chloride (CaCl2) impregnated into a
mesoporous silica gel (SG) sphere matrix. Three different MgCl2/CaCl2 salt ratios were
investigated to find the optimal balance between sorption capacity and stability against
deliquescence in humid environments. Prepared samples underwent comprehensive
characterisation, including structural and morphological analysis, water vapour sorption
and heat capacity measurements. The hybrid CaCl15/MgCl15/SG sample exhibited
intermediate behavior between the pure CaCl30/SG and MgCl30/SG samples, with
significantly improved stability in a humid environment due to the addition MgCl2.
Characterisation revealed the effective confinement of the salt mix in the matrix. The
optimised CaCl15/MgCl15/SG sample demonstrated highly promising gravimetric and
volumetric energy storage capacities of 1092 J/g and 2.3 MJ/m3, respectively, comparable
to recently reported composites. The material sorption dynamics were ultimately tested
in a whole adsorbent unit under near-real-world operating conditions, pushing the
research to the reactor and system level, and demonstrating that the presence of MgCl2 in
the composite does not adversely affect the adsorption kinetics compared to the pure
CaCl2-based composite

Cette étude se base sur une analyse comparative et contrastive d’un couple hétéro-sémiotique constitué de la nouvelle Boule de Suif de Guy de Maupassant et de son adaptation en bande dessinée réalisée par Li-An en 2009, et publiée aux éditions Delcourt dans une collection jeune public. L’objectif qu’on se pose est de comprendre comment le passage d’un média littéraire à un média verbo-iconique reconfigure le récit initial, tant sur le plan discursif que narratif et sémiotique. Après avoir porté un regard croisé sur ce couple, en analysant les différents composants que Groensteen considère comme potentiellement adaptables (le contexte historique, la fable, le «média», le discours et le texte), nous concentrerons notre analyse sur les variations intralinguistiques engendrées par ce changement de média. Nous verrons que les reformulations, les modulations, les transpositions, mais aussi les ajouts, les suppressions et les clarifications ne sont pas rares. Ces procédés traductifs mettent en lumière les contraintes propres à l’art séquentiel, qui privilégie le dialogue à la narration, et où les mots cèdent souvent la place aux images. D’ailleurs, certains choix formels (tels que l’humour visuel, l’actualisation du langage et la présence d’animaux parlants) relèvent de la volonté de l’adaptateur de s’adresser à un public jeune. En articulant réflexion théorique et étude de cas, ce travail s’inscrit dans une réflexion plus large sur l’adaptation comme véritable acte traductif, au croisement de la traductologie et des études narratologiques et intersémiotiques
