eflections on categories used for social identification are closely related to building one\u27s own identity, including national identity. A special role in this process are playing the concepts of homeland and little homeland, as well as expressed attitudes. These concepts form a sense of belonging to the place and community, with their history, culture, language, customs, rituals, values, communication habits, etc. With regard to the expressed attitudes, two of them are of significant importance – nationalistic and patriotic. Many theories have been developed around them and their understanding is often associated with multithreading and difficulties in interpretation and classification. Especially important is that these attitudes should be based on mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance, mostly towards other nations, no matter these attitudes were called. Only attitudes based on mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance can ensure security and freedom in future. Therefore, it is important to teach the proper understanding of them in the process of education with its upbringing aspect. This teaching can prevent antagonism towards other nations, societies, or cultures.Reflections on categories used for social identification are closely related to building one\u27s own identity, including national identity. The article approaches the subject of spelling errors made in notation of vowel phonemes of the Polish language. The focus group consisted of Polish teenagers aged 15 or 16 years who were asked to produce a sample writing in the form of an argument and to write a dictation, devised by the author himself. The article comprises four parts: the introduction, the typology of spelling errors, the description of spelling errors seen from the perspective of phoneme-grapheme correspondences, and the discussion part. Most of the collected errorscollected were of orthographic (phonetically correct) or morphological type, depending on the chosen classification. Of the gathered material, substituting the ę grapheme with e in the ę - /ɛ/ word-final position (such as Ja chcę – eng. ‘I want’) was the most prevalent pattern. Other errors concerned mainly: incorrect spellings of the /u/ phoneme (especially in a context where the ó grapheme does not alternate with the o grapheme), wrong spellings of the ął, ęł, ęl, and en biphonematic group (as in wziął, wzięła, wzięli, argument), as well as confusing the om and ą graphemes in their word-final position (e.g. kolegom, kolegą eng. ‘a friend’ respectively in its dative and ablative grammar case). The article approaches the subject of spelling errors made in notation of vowel phonemes of the Polish language. No full text
Computer forensics is a key science and competency in meeting the growing risks of cybercrime, as well as for criminal investigation generally. In order to provide irrefutable evidence of a potential crime, a specialist in the incident response team (e.g. an IT forensics specialist) must secure the digital evidence in accordance with the correct procedure. There are no strict guidelines on how to do this. It is known that the authenticity and fidelity of data must be preserved. This article will collect good practices developed by specialists in the field of computer forensics. The process of securing the evidence material from a digital data sources for later analysis will be presented

Two Sasanian rock reliefs of the king combatting a lion

    No full text
This article analyzes the scene of the Sasanian king combating a lion in two rock reliefs. Most Sasanian Bas-reliefs belong to the first 150 years of the dynasty and most are located in modern Fars province. The reliefs typically depict the king’s investiture by a deity (who is usually Ahurā Mazdā, but, in some reliefs, Mithra or Anāhitā), the king with courtiers, the king with his family, the king at war, the king’s triumph over his enemies, and the king fighting and hunting wild animals. Two of the bas-reliefs of the king killing animals show him killing lions. One is located at Sar Mašhad and the other, less-known, is kept in the Haft-Tanān Museum, Shiraz, and was discovered at the foothills of Pahnu (Pahnā) Mount in Dārāb. In the ancient Near East, the lion symbolized power, courage, and ferociousness: whoever could confront it successfully was regarded as powerful and brave; consequently, many kings have been portrayed fighting lions (and other wild animals) during this period

No full monograph has yet been devoted to the history of the Jewish community in Dobrzyń nad Wisłą. This paper, whose subject is the almost completely unknown history of Jews from Dobrzyń in the years 1507-1939, stems not only from the author’s own interests, but also from the need to fill the above-mentioned gap. To study the topic, the author used mainly archival sources, which were the legacy of administrative and political authorities. Fragments of source materials are currently kept in the State Archive in Bydgoszcz and the State Archive in Toruń, and the branch in Włocławek. Especially noteworthy sources include: the vital records of Jewish people (1826-1936), the records of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Toruń (1920-1939), the town records of Dobrzyń nad Wisłą (1917 -1937), and the records of the Board of the National Council (1950-1972). In these collections, the largest numbers of documents are extracts from birth records, official correspondence, minutes from the meetings of local authorities, and municipal inspections from the inter-war period. Apart from the above-mentioned archival collections, the author used a wide range of other source materials, for example, collections of maps kept in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw and in the District Office in Lipno, as well as very interesting items from private collections. Most of the above-mentioned sources have not yet been published. No full monograph has yet been devoted to the history of the Jewish community in Dobrzyń nad Wisłą. GROSS MARGIN AS A CATEGORY FOR EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF PUBLIC SERVICE PROVISION

    No full text
Contemporary management concepts in public organisations emphasize the adaptation and implementation of selected management methods tested in commercial sector organisations. They are used to improve the processes of providing public services and to ensure savings, especially in terms of the level of costs. One such instrument is variable cost accounting, which, through the gross margin value, allows to assess both the ability of an organisation to provide specific services and to ensure the widest possible range of services, as well as to identify those who are responsible for the functioning of selected responsibility centres. The study attempts to present an algorithm of conduct ensuring the effective use of variable cost accounting in the process of improving the operation of public organisations. &nbsp

THE PROBLEM OF ABANDONED PROPERTY AFTER THE ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE DECREE ON OWNERSHIP AND USE OF LANDS IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF WARSAW

    No full text
This article attempts to answer the question of whether abandoned property existed in Warsaw after the entry into force of the Decree on Warsaw Lands. Contemporary case law is consistent in the position that within the territory of the capital of Poland, after the entry into force of the Decree on Warsaw Lands, there was no abandoned property given the categorical wording of Article 1 of the Decree that on the date of entry into force, all Warsaw lands are transferred to the municipality of the Capital City of Warsaw. However, post-war doctrine is of the opinion that for the transfer of ownership it was necessary to enter the new owner in the land and mortgage register.W niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie czy na obszarze Warszawy po wejściu w życie dekretu o gruntach warszawskich istniało mienie opuszczone.
