Application of artificial neural networks and NEAT algorithm to control a quadcopter
We present a framework for building ArtificialNeuralNetworks (ANNs) able to control a quadcopter and perform basic maneuvers, like hover or following waypoints. In this approach, we make use of the Neuroevolution of Augmenting Topologies (NEAT) algorithm which is aimed at creating the network structure and the weights in result of evolutionary computations. In order to evaluate fitness of individuals, we use physics based, realistic simulation engine Gazebo, where each individual controls a drone in a simulated environment. Our approach is aimed at using one of existing, popular protocols used to remotely control drones, and train ANNs able to imitate signals received from a radio controller operated by a human pilot. Thus, contrary to the most of other approaches, our autonomous controller cooperates with standard drone software. Our ultimate goal is to train ANNs able to control a real-world quadcopter and perform advanced tasks autonomously. Not only such ANNs should be able to perform the maneuvers correctly, but they should be small enough to transfer them into a quadcopter’s limited memory. In this paper we report the first stage of our project - a successful development and deployment of the ANNs distributed training framework, and choosing the activation function for further research
The realignment and staffing of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 1945 and 1950
On March 19, 1944, under the German occupation, Hungary lost its sovereignty. Due to the Second World War and the fighting in Budapest, the building and organization of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were in ruins. After the war, the reorganization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began with the employees of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs operating between 1920 and 1944. The Ministry followed the previous organizational and operational principle. Diplomats and ministry workers gained their foreign experiences before the war. In parallel with the takeover of power by the communists in Hungary, many diplomats and foreign workers emigrated due to the removal of old specialists and the open takeover of power by the communists. The communist-led Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a huge shortage of staff and specialists, which were replaced on the one hand by communist cadres of working and peasant origin, and on the other hand the Foreign Academy was established whose curriculum consisted of the classics of Marxism-Leninism. In 1950, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was reorganized, and a horizontal and vertical operating structure was established. On March 19, 1944, under the German occupation, Hungary lost its sovereignty. ‹‹Taǰik›› and Other Names to Denote Muslims in Armenian Historical Sources as a Reflection of the Cognition of a Different Ethnic-confessional Community
In the course of history, peoples and tribes have given each other designations on the basis of distinctive features, qualities and circumstances. The pretext for the creation of such names was the geographical area, special qualities of a particular people, religious affiliation or epic genesis. With the beginning of the Arab conquests and campaigns in the middle of the 7th century CE, Armenia fell under Arab domination becoming part of the Arab Caliphate within the next decade. The aim of the paper is to present what names were given to Muslims in what historical context, how these names reflected the perception of a different ethnoreligious community. In the course of history, peoples and tribes have given each other designations on the basis of distinctive features, qualities and circumstances. The main trends in the use of documents in the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation of the Republic of Kazakhstan
According to the state program ‘Archive 2025’ for wide access to archival documents in Kazakhstan the web portal ‘Unified electronic archive of documents was launched’. At the moment, there is no information on the funds of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation on this site yet, but it is planned to add it to the electronic catalog in the future. For the successful implementation of data on documents stored in the funds of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, it is necessary to analyze which types of documents are most popular among the archive users (both in the reading room and when executing information requests by the archive) and which need to be translated into electronic format as a priority, for this purpose, the reports of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation were studied for the period from 1974 to 2021.According to the state program ‘Archive 2025’ for wide access to archival documents in Kazakhstan the web portal ‘Unified electronic archive of documents was launched’. Early Iranian Riders and Cavarly
The expansion of the Iranian peoples in first centuries of the 1st millennium BCE coincides with the creation and further development of the cavalry warfare in western Eurasia, as well as with the creation of the pastoral nomadic life-style which dominated the Great Steppe for millennia to come. The mounted warriors replaced the light chariots which dominated the Bronze Age battlefields which required perfect horsemanship however application of the recurved, double reflex. composite bow for mounted combat seemed another important factor in development of the cavalry force. Mounted archery which doubled the fire power of the mobile troops, earlier dominated by the chariots triggered the evolution of the various forms of cavalry, both as a response to a threat of the horse archers and independent forces used by the sedentary societies. Iranian contribution in spreading (and most likely invention) of the new technology is undeniable. Although horse riding and recurved composite bows were known earlier they could not overcome the power of the chariot force separately. Only the combination of the factors allowed fielding large and efficient cavalry troops as was practiced by the Scythians and became the success factor for the Achaemenid Empire. Survival of the chariots as late as the Seleucid times was possible because of changing their tactical function from the highly mobile shooting platform to heavy, at least partially, armored terror and shock weapon. The expansion of the Iranian peoples in first centuries of the 1st millennium BCE coincides with the creation and further development of the cavalry warfare in western Eurasia, as well as with the creation of the pastoral nomadic life-style which dominated the Great Steppe for millennia to come. "Informatorium szkoły macierzyńskiej" Jana Amosa Komeńskiego – pierwszy traktat z pedagogiki przedszkolnej
It is the intention of the author of this article to draw attention to one of the many works of the Teacher of Nations in order to give an insight into the content of the impressive work of John Amos Comenius. The Czech pedagogue recognised the need for a properly organised educational institution for pre-school children. In the informatorium, his programme for the all-round development of children, he places emphasis on preparing them from birth for future systematic schooling.
