No full textThe political map of the Balkans changed by the end of the First Balkan War 1912-1913. The Vilayet of Kosovo was occupied by Serbia. This War and the following years brought a tragedy to the vulnerable Albanian civilian population in Kosovo. Many Kosovar Albanians were forced to leave their country or their homes and to go into exile. Most of them sheltered in Albania. Kosovars were welcomed and helped in the Albanian state, they were enabled to have a political organization and representation of their interests and rights. Wpływ koncentracji sektora bankowego na poziom kosztów pracy w bankach w Polsce w latach 1997-2014
No full textThe paper presents the results of the examination of the relationship between the averagelabour costs and the degree of concentration of the banking sector in Poland in 1997-2014. Using thequarterly banking and macroeconomic data and the multivariate regression model it was found thatbanks lower average labour cost with the higher concentration of the banking sector. Whereas thesecosts increased with decreasing concentration and increasing level of competition. The higher averagelabour costs occurred when the growth rate of banking sector assets exceeded the GDP growth, generatingincreased competitive pressure, and when banks requested more funding from deposits of the nonfinancialsector. Accelerated economic growth and the accompanying technological developments allowbanks to lower labor costs, due to greater automation of banking activities, the use of internet and mobilebanking, as well as modern payment systems.Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań zależności pomiędzy średnimi kosztami pracyw sektorze bankowym a stopniem jego koncentracji w Polsce w latach 1997-2013. Wykorzystując kwartalnedane bankowe i makroekonomiczne oraz model regresji wielorakiej stwierdzono, że wyższa koncentracjasektora sprzyjała obniżeniu średnich kosztów pracy. Koszty te wzrastały natomiast wraz ze spadkiemkoncentracji i wzrostem konkurencji. Wyższe średnie koszty pracy pojawiały się w okresach, gdytempo wzrostu aktywów sektora bankowego wyprzedzało tempo wzrostu PKB, generując silniejszą presjękonkurencyjną, a także w przypadku konieczności większego finansowania się banków depozytamisektora niefinansowego. Przyspieszony wzrost gospodarczy i towarzyszący mu rozwój technologicznyumożliwiały bankom obniżanie kosztów pracy, pozwalając na większą automatyzację działalności bankówpoprzez użycie bankowości internetowej i mobilnej, a także nowoczesnych systemów płatniczych

While watching these film productions, the viewer identifies with the main character, understands him, and feels comfortable looking at him. A person with a disability is overwhelmingly socially acceptable, even on a global scale. Social inclusion plays a great role in this. Films with people with disabilities in the foreground are a kind of confirmation of the media\u27s reproduced inclusive image of people with disabilities co-existing with others.Filmy z ostatnich lat ukazują tolerancyjne, niedyskryminujące podejście do osób z niepełnosprawnością. Podczas oglądania tych produkcji filmowych widz utożsamia się z głównym bohaterem, rozumie go oraz czuje się komfortowo, patrząc na niego. Osoba z niepełnosprawnością jest w przeważającej mierze akceptowalna społecznie, nawet na skalę światową. Ogromną rolę odgrywa w tym inkluzja społeczna. No full textThe effect of shaping the ethics and culture of modern man is his attitude towards individuals who are different from him and his tolerance for non-uniformity. In connection with the above topic, research on the functioning of people with disabilities requires constant amendment and supplementation. The aim of the research was to learn students\u27 views on the functioning of people with intellectual disabilities. The research was in the form of a diagnostic survey, carried out using an own questionnaire. The research was con-ducted among one hundred students from such fields as: pedagogy, other social sciences, medical sciences, exact and natural sciences, and humanities. The work consists of three main chapters. The first one shows the functions and types of social attitudes and characterizes the concept of social attitudes and stereotypes. The second one presents a description of the own research methodology. The third one presents the results of own research on how a person functions with intellectual disabilities. To get rid of all social barriers, inclusive education must continue to be promoted from an early age. This would eliminate all stereotypes, physical and mental barriers of society towards people with intellectual disabilities.Celem badań było poznanie poglądów studentów na temat funkcjonowania osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Badania miały charakter sondażu diagnostycznego, realizowanego przy pomocy kwestionariusza ankiety własnego autorstwa. Przeprowadzono je wśród stu studentów z takich kierunków jak: pedagogika, inne nauki społeczne, nauki medyczne, nauki ścisłe i przyrodnicze, nauki humanistyczne. Przedstawiono poglądy studentów na ten temat. Artykuł składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej z nich ukazano funkcje i rodzaje postaw społecznych oraz dokonano charakterystyki pojęć postawy społeczne i stereotypy. Przedstawiono pojęcie i klasyfikację niepełnosprawności intelektualnej. Zapoznano ze specyfiką funkcjonowania osoby niepełnosprawnej intelektualnie z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. W drugiej przedstawiono opis metodologii badań własnych. W trzeciej zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych na temat funkcjonowania osoby z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną.

No full textThe aim of this article is to present the significance of documentary films addressing the issue of disability in the context of their use in the education of students in the direction of social work. The issue of disability, which has remained an important social issue in the world for many years, is often addressed in the category of leading film topic, including documentary. In this view, it is possible to look at the situation of an individual experiencing limitations of fitness in the natural context of his daily life. It is often accompanied by an insight into the surroundings of the hero of this authentic image, and thus a look through a wider prism at his family, friends, and neighbours. The theme of disability in the documentary can be considered as an inspiring and valuable material for didactics, and especially in the context of the education of persons predisposed to perform auxiliary professions, for example students in the direction of social work. The text presents an analysis of exemplary documentary films, and then the potential possibilities of their use during teaching classes are proposed.Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia filmów dokumentalnych poruszających tematykę niepełnosprawności w kontekście ich wykorzystywania w ramach kształcenia studentów kierunku praca socjalna. Problematyka niepełnosprawności często podejmowana jest w kategorii przewodniego tematu filmu, w tym również dokumentalnego. W takim ujęciu możliwe jest spojrzenie na sytuację jednostki, doświadczającej ograniczeń sprawności w naturalnym kontekście jej codziennego życia. Nierzadko towarzyszy temu również wgląd w otoczenie bohatera tego autentycznego obrazu, a więc spojrzenie przez szerszy pryzmat na jego rodzinę, przyjaciół, sąsiadów. Wątek niepełno-sprawności w filmie dokumentalnym można rozpatrywać jako inspirujący i cenny materiał dla dydaktyki, a szczególnie w kontekście kształcenia osób predestynujących do wykonywania zawodów pomocowych, na przykład studentów kierunku praca socjalna. W tekście dokonano analizy przykładowych filmów dokumentalnych, a następnie zaproponowano potencjalne możliwości ich wykorzystania podczas zajęć dydaktycznych
The \u27Internal Tree:\u27 Arboreal Symbols in Ali Smith\u27s Autumn
No full textFollowing the publishing of Autumn (2016), Scottish author Ali Smith has received both international acclaim as well as negative reviews for it supposedly being a collage of seemingly unrelated subjects. This paper challenges such a view by providing insight into one of its hidden meanings – the arboreal symbols – paying attention to the concept of \u27Internal Tree\u27 as coined by J.R.R. Tolkien and which resembles the way in which other well-known authors including Smith have explored the topics of authorship and and literature. I will study the origins of these symbols as a trope and examine how the \u27Internal Tree\u27 allows authors\u27 development and connection with past, present and future writers while remaining attached to their roots. Both aspects will be briefly traced from the work of Classical authors, the Bible and Anglophone literature, and analysed in Ali Smith\u27s Autumn and a number of her previous works
Elegizing an Aristocracy: The Anglo-Irish Protestant Gentry in the Poetry of Richard Murphy
No full textThe Irish poet Richard Murphy was a minority within a minority: an Anglo-Irish Protestant of the landed gentry. His privilege, property, and Anglican background set him apart from the common people of an independent Ireland which was Catholic, Gaelic, and nationalist in character. As the last major poetic representative of his culture, Murphy holds a special place in the Irish literary tradition. However, he lived and wrote during a time of significant decline for his patrician caste. His poems documenting the decay of Ireland’s once powerful and prominent Protestant elite is the subject of this paper’s critical inquiry. With greater consideration for the cultural climate and historical circumstances of his time, a clearer and more accurate understanding of Murphy’s conception of the complex facets of Irish identity will be achieved in this analysis
