International audienceThis paper explores the universality of the ecological and social transition in marketing by analysing its ideological underpinnings and implicit exclusions. It draws on an academic corpus and adopts a narrative approach to interrogate critical paradigms supporting this transition, such as Consumer Culture Theory (CCT) and Transformative Consumer Research (TCR). The study situates them within a global critique of Eurocentrism and explores their capacity to integrate perspectives from non-Western contexts. The expected results envisage a decolonisation of marketing theories through the tension between universality and pluriversality, to propose strategies adapted to diverse contexts and to renew approaches to sustainability and marketing research.

Does the identity of leaders matter for education? Evidence from the first black governor in the US
International audienceCan role models from the same group enhance educational outcomes of disadvantaged minority students? We analyze the election of Douglas Wilder in Virginia in 1989, who was the first Black American to serve as governor in the US. Results from a triple difference and an event-study approach demonstrate increased educational attainment among Black individuals in Virginia after the election. Using an original survey and secondary data, we provide suggestive evidence that a role model effect may be driving these results. Our findings thus suggest that increasing exposure to Black politicians in high-profile positions might contribute to narrowing the White-Black gap in education in the US
Signalling for electricity demand response: When is truth telling optimal?
Utilities and transmission system operators (TSO) around the world implement demand response programs for reducing electricity consumption by sending information on the state of balance between supply demand to end-use consumers. We construct a Bayesian persuasion model to analyse such demand response programs. Using a simple model consisting of two time steps for contract signing and invoking, we analyse the relation between the pricing of electricity and the incentives of the TSO to garble information about the true state of the generation. We show that if the electricity is priced at its marginal cost of production, the TSO has no incentive to lie and always tells the truth. On the other hand, we provide conditions where overpricing of electricity leads the TSO to provide no information to the consumer
Mitigating climate vulnerability: the crop diversification effect
Can adaptation strategies mitigate the impact of drought episodes on household food insecurity? Using longitudinal data on Malagasy rural households from 2011 to 2014 and a two-way fixed-effects model with an instrumental variable method to address endogeneity issues, this study demonstrates that crop diversification significantly reduces household food insecurity and provides mitigating benefits. Specifically, adding one additional crop reduces perceived food insecurity by 6%–8% and shortens the lean season by 20%–22% on average. Moreover, diversification helps alleviate the adverse effects of drought episodes, with cultivating 6 to 9 crops—particularly fruits and cereals—proving most effective. However, the effectiveness of diversification diminishes under severe drought conditions and varies across crop types
Teams in Time and Space: Capturing the Dynamic Nature of Team Process through a Bibliometric Investigation
Capturing the dynamic nature of team processes remains a major challenge in current research. To shed light on this issue, we revisit the original theoretical foundations of team processes to trace their evolution through recent research streams. This approach enables us to highlight obstacles to understanding their dynamics, as well as emerging avenues to overcome these challenges. By combining a bibliometric approach with grounded theory, we map three classical schools of thought based on recurring co-citation clusters and analyze their transversal dimensions: temporality, multidimensionality, and the cognition–affect–behavior triad. We then examine the evolution of these dimensions through an analysis of bibliographic coupling in recent studies, identifying novel drivers such as diversity, leadership, and the impact of extreme circumstances that enrich our understanding of team processes. Finally, we highlight innovative cross-cutting methodological approaches that offer promising perspectives for future discoveries.
In the era of #MeToo, the list of scandals involving public figures such as actors and artists continues to grow. Whether living or deceased, they become the focus of controversies that not only challenge their cultural legacy but also jeopardize their economic value. As society increasingly rejects violence against women, do these artists witness the collapse of the myths associated with them? A case study of Picasso highlights the construction of twoantagonistic myths that coexist and clash while simultaneously sustaining each other through a strong religious dimension. Museums, by implementing strategies that modulate the balance of power between these myths, contribute to the perpetuation of this duality.
