おもなイベント
『学院史編纂室便り』再開号をお届けいたします。
この号は、『資料室便り』No. 1（1985）から数えて第 57 号にあたります。学院史編纂室の前身「学院史資料室」は、1978 年に旧図書館で発足しました。その後、
1984 年に旧日本人住宅（現在の関西学院会館）、1998 年に現在の時計台 1 階へと移り、2000 年に「学院史編纂室」へと改組しています。
1990 年代には、『関西学院百年史』（全 4 巻・索引）が刊行されました。その間、『資料室便り』は休止しますが、1998 年に判型を B5 から A4 に改めて再開します。
2000 年に『学院史編纂室便り』へと改称し、以来、年に 2 回、2022 年度まで継続的に発行してきました。この間のご協力に感謝いたします。
この度、新たなデザインとともに『学院史編纂室便り』を再開いたします。再開にあたっては、英語誌名を Kwansei Gakuin Archives Newsletter と定め、
表紙に掲げました。中央の「57」は号数で、1985 年から積み重ねてきた『便り』の歴史を示しています。上部中央のロゴマークは、時計台と書物をあらわ
しています。表紙を縁取る枠線は、学院史編纂室入り口の「ドア枠」を模しています。
第 57 号では、これまでの学院史編纂を担ってきた方がたに「学院史」の意義と展望、編纂の経験について寄稿していただきました。また、キャンパスの
記憶を記録するために、2024 年 3 月で歴史を閉じた第 2 教授研究館（池内記念館）についてのエッセイをお寄せいただきました。本誌をお読みいただいて
いるみなさまにも、寄稿をお願いすることがあるかと思います。その際には、よろしくお願いいたします。
学院史編纂室では、年 2 回の『学院史編纂室便り』とともに、年 1 回、『関西学院史紀要』を刊行しています。2023 年度には、第 30 号を発行いたしました。
『紀要』では、関西学院の歴史に関する論文や資料を掲載・発信しています。みなさまの専門の立場から、関西学院史の研究を進めていただき、その成果を
投稿していただけたらと願っております。
本誌の新しい表紙が示しているように、学院史編纂室は、西宮上ケ原キャンパスの時計台 1 階に位置しています。時計台の正面から入ると、すぐ左側にク
ラシカルなデザインの木製「扉」があります。そこが、学院史編纂室の入り口です。時計台にお越しの際は、本誌表紙の枠線と同じかたちの「ドア枠」を、
