The Influence of Social Media and Perceived Logistics Service Quality: The Application of Expectation Confirmation Theory
No full text The online retail business has played an important role in this era, and social media has changed the way people make purchasing decisions. However, the importance of logistics service quality is often unacknowledged in this business. This study investigates the influence of social media and logistics service quality on online purchase decisions and the effects after purchase. Data were collected and analyzed from 316 internet users throughout several universities in Thailand using a quantitative approach. To test the hypotheses, multiple regression was employed. The results show that social media significantly influences buying behavior via the TPB framework, and logistics service quality influences the satisfaction for online purchasing via ECT framework. The results of this study may help online retailers in strategic planning for both marketing and supply chain management for sustainable growth in the future.

การสื่อสาร ทุนทางสังคม ทุนทางวัฒนธรรม สู่ความสุขพอเพียง กรณีศึกษาชุมชนเกาะคา จังหวัดลำปาง และชุมชนอินทร์บุรี จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี
No full text การสื่อสาร ทุนทางวัฒนธรรม ทุนทางสังคมเป็นตัวแปรที่นำไปสู่ความสุขอย่างพอเพียงใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและเชิงปริมาณ เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยแห่งความสุขที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับตัวแปรทั้งสามในชุมชนชุมชนเกาะคา จังหวัดลำปาง และชุมชนอินทร์บุรี จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี กับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 387 คน (α = 0.05) ผลการทดสอบสมมติฐาน พบว่า การสื่อสารมีความสัมพันธ์กับทุนทางวัฒนธรรม ทุนทางสังคม ที่ส่งผลต่อระดับความสุขอย่างพอเพียงและสภาวะความอยู่ดีมีสุขที่ยั่งยืนของคนในชุมชน โดยเฉพาะการสื่อสารของผู้นำชุมชนที่ส่งผลให้เกิดความมีส่วนร่วม หล่อหลอมสังคมชนบทให้เชื่อมโยงบทบาทหน้าที่ ถ่ายทอดวัฒนธรรม และจัดสรรงบประมาณที่มาจากการจัดเก็บภาษีของคนในท้องถิ่นให้เกิดความเสมอภาคอย่างยั่งยืน อย่างไรก็ตาม สื่อใหม่มีทั้งผลดีให้คนในชุมชนรับรู้เรื่องราวและเนื้อหาในระดับโลก ส่งเสริมคุณค่าและแนวทางปฏิบัติของระบบทุนนิยม แต่ก็มีผลกระทบต่อการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวันของผู้คนในชุมชนอย่างไม่อาจหลีกเลี่ยงได้

The present study aims to relate communication, social capital and cultural capital for sufficient happiness in the Koakha community of Lampang province and the Inthaburi community of Singburi province in Thailand. It uses a mixed approach of qualitative and quantitative methods (α = 0.05) to explore communication related to cultural and social capital in supporting sufficient happiness and sustainable lifestyle. The impact of leaders’ communication for living with transparency and participatory communication has led to the transfer of cultural and other sources of sustainable capital including the local equity budget. However, new media with its global reach and its ideological content, capitalistic values, and practices, might have some disadvantageous effects on the local communities’ way of life.

An Analysis of Air Pollution Emission from Semi-Trailer Truck Transportation in Laem Chabang Municipality: A Structural Equation Modeling
Get PDF The demand growth for container shipping in most countries increases the number of semi-trailer truck on the roads in port-proximate communities; consequently, the residents inevitably experience with air pollution and other externalities from STT transportation than ever. While a clear-cut solution has not been identified in theory, the current study attempted to narrow this gap by developing a holistic model focusing on all fundamental elements. To formulate the model, the relevant attributions were developed based on a literature review and used to develop a questionnaire survey randomly distributed to the respondents in the five communities in Laem Chabang municipality. Based on 414 responses, the structural equation modeling was adopted to analyze the relationships among 13 endogenous variables and 15 exogenous variables which were conceptualized based on the existing theories, and thereinafter adjusted based on the modification indices. The findings demonstrated that the STTs’ safety standard had a greater impact on air pollution than that of STT drivers’ behaviors, while road accidents and traffic congestion played an important role as an intermediary passing an indirect effect from its origins to air pollution emission. Therefore, the best solution was to eliminate the original sources of air pollution, but eradicating its intermediate sources would also help address the poor local air quality.
