Service-Based Enterprise Systems represents an emerging paradigm in software development. Over the years, its usage has increased exponentially in fields such as manufacturing, banking, telecommunication and healthcare due to its ability to promote reusability, loosely-coupled and scalability for software development. However to accommodate the evolution of business requirements in SBES, there needs to be in place a standard strategic approach. Moreover, handling business requirements evolution in natural language is very challenging when deluge scale of requirements are expected. Therefore, we propose an approach to automate the activity of evaluating the need to evolve phase which firstly conducted in service evolution life cycle. The proposed approach follows Change-oriented Service Life Cycle methodology as guideline to portray different phases in service evolution. As proof of concept we will select a few SBES projects to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed approach
A stochastic ground motion accelerogram model for Northwest Europe
This article presents a stochastic ground-motion accelerogram model for Northwest Europe which simulates accelerograms compatible with seismic scenarios defined by earthquake magnitudes 4 <Mw <6.5, distance-to-site 10km <Repi <100km and different types of soil (rock, stiff and soft soil). This model is developed based on Rezaeian and DerKiureghian (2008,2010) [1,2] and is a set of pre- dictive equations that define a time-modulated filtered white-noise process. Such predictive equations were calibrated by means of the random-effects regression technique using a subset of the European database of accelerograms.The model is validated in terms of PGA, PGV and spectral accelerations using GMPEs for the UK, Europe and Middle East, and other Stable Continental Regions. This model is the first of its kind for NW Europe
Diminished Returns: Mozambican Masculinities in José Craveirinha's Xigubo and Paulina Chiziane's O Sétimo Juramento
In the last fifteen years, gendered analysis of Mozambican cultural expression has become increasingly popular. This engagement with the country's cultural output has successfully elucidated the gendered meanings underpinning both Portuguese colonial endeavour and the Marxist-Leninist rhetoric of the Mozambican anticolonial struggle. However, despite this growing interest in the sexual politics of the nation's cultural texts, Mozambican masculinities remain understudied. This article recentres masculinities in works by two Mozambican authors: poet José Craveirinha, dubbed the founding father of Mozambican national literature, and contemporary novelist Paulina Chiziane, hailed as Mozambique's foremost woman writer. Poststructuralist gender theory is used to propose that Craveirinha's attempt to provide a counter-narration to colonial mythologies of black masculinity through engagement with an aesthetics of negritude ultimately perpetuates imperial imaginings of black femininity. Chiziane's text, meanwhile, is shown to make strategic use of realism and parody in order to satirize the gender politics at the heart of early anticolonial writing

Increased numbers of activated group 2 innate lymphoid cells in the airways of patients with severe asthma and persistent airway eosinophilia.
BACKGROUND: In patients with severe eosinophilic asthma, local maturation rather than systemic recruitment of mature cells might contribute to persistent airway eosinophilia. Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are a major source of type 2 cytokines (IL-5 and IL-13) and can facilitate eosinophilic inflammatory responses in mouse models of asthma in the absence of CD4(+) lymphocytes. This study investigated the potential role of ILC2s in driving chronic airway eosinophilia in patients with severe asthma, despite regular high-dose oral corticosteroid therapy. METHODS: In a cross-sectional study we enumerated blood and sputum ILC2s (lin(-)CD45(+)127(+)ST2(+)) and levels of intracellular IL-5 and IL-13 in patients with severe asthma (n = 25), patients with steroid-naive mild atopic asthma (n = 19), and nonatopic control subjects (n = 5). Results were compared with numbers of CD4(+) lymphocytes, eosinophil lineage-committed progenitors (eosinophilopoietic progenitor cells [EoPs]), and mature eosinophils. RESULTS: Significantly greater numbers of total and type 2 cytokine-producing ILC2s were detected in blood and sputum of patients with severe asthma compared to mild asthmatics. In contrast, intracellular cytokine expression by CD4 cells and EoPs within the airways did not differ between the asthmatic groups. In patients with severe asthma, although sputum CD4(+) cells were more abundant than ILC2s and EoPs, proportionally, ILC2s were the predominant source of type 2 cytokines. In addition, there were significantly greater numbers of sputum IL-5(+)IL-13(+) ILC2s in patients with severe asthma whose airway eosinophilia was greater than 3%, despite normal blood eosinophil numbers
Designing More Efficient Preclinical Experiments: A Simulation Study in Chemotherapy-Induced Myelosupression
A belief rule based expert system for predicting consumer preference in new product development
In the decision making process of new product development, companies need to understand consumer preference for newly developed products. A recently developed belief rule based (BRB) inference methodology is used to formulate the relationship between consumer preference and product attributes. However, when the number of product attributes is large, the methodology encounters the challenge of dealing with an oversized rule base. To overcome the challenge, the paper incorporates factor analysis into the BRB methodology and develops a BRB expert system for predicting consumer preference of a new product. Firstly, a small number of factors are extracted from product attributes by conducting both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Secondly, a belief rule base is constructed to model the causal relationships between the characteristic factors and consumer preference for products using experts’ knowledge. Furthermore, a BRB expert system is developed for predicting consumer preference in new product development, where the factor values transformed from product attributes are taken as inputs. Relevant rules in the system are activated by the input data, and then the activated rules are aggregated using the evidential reasoning (ER) approach to generate the predicted consumer preference for each product. Finally, the BRB expert system is illustrated using the data collected from 100 consumers of several tea stores through a market survey. The results show that the prototype of the BRB expert system has superior fitting capability on training data and high prediction accuracy on testing data, and it has great potential to be applied to consumer preference prediction in new product development
