Joseba Sarrionandiaren poesia (1981-2016). Ideia literario eta praktikasortzailearen lorratzak
792 p.Tesiaren ikerketaren helburua Joseba Sarrionandiaren poetika eta praktika sortzailea aztertzea da, haren bilakaerari arreta eskainiz. Horretarako, egilearen idazlanak aztertu dira, semiotika, aldaeren kritika eta kritika genetikoaren laguntzaz. Irizpide metodologiko horien ildoan, idazketa prozesu amaigabetzat ulertzen da, eta testuek denboran izandako aldaerak aztertu dira, haien irakurketa eta interpretazio sinbolikoarekin batean. Idazlearen poesia liburu guztiak aztertzeaz gain, egileak eskuzabalki emandako hiru aurre-testu ikertu dira, eta, horiei esker, obraren ezagutza bide berriak ireki dira. Ikerlanaren emaitza gisa, egilearen idazlanaren bilakaerari buruzko ikuspuntu berriak eskuratu ahal izan dira. Hala, Ni ez naiz hemengoa liburuaren aurre-testuen eta edizioen azterketaren bidez, egilearen ideia poetikoei buruzko ikuspuntu sakona eskuratu da, zeinak idazleak geroago adierazitako ideiekin alderatuz, bilakaera identifikatzeko balio duen. Bestalde, Sarrionandiaren ibilbide poetikoan hiru urrats bereizi dira: 1) Izuen gordelekuetan barrena trantsizio garaiko neobangoardiaren emaitza adierazgarrienetakoa; 2) kartzela eta militantzia gaiei atxikitako idazlanen zikloa (Intxaur azal baten barruan/Eguberri amarauna, Marinel zaharrak eta Kartzelako poemak); 3) Hnuy illa majah yahoo eta Hilda dago poesia? liburuak. Ibilbide horretan ildo tematiko eta sinbolikoak identifikatu dira, haien tratamendua eta adierazpenaren lanketaren bilakaera hautemanez. Bestalde, aurre-testuetatik edizio argitaratuetara, eta edizioz edizio egindako moldaketen ondorioz, zenbait irizpide nagusi identifikatu ahal izan dira, eta aldaketen zioei buruzko hipotesiak eraiki dir
Understanding parents' motivations for giving their children smartphones: A qualitative study
In response to growing concerns about the early age at which children receive smartphones, this study examines the factors influencing parents' decisions on when and why to allow their children access to these devices. A total of 642 parents from a region in the Basque Country (northern Spain) participated in an open-ended survey. The sample was diverse in terms of gender, child age (2-16 years, M = 9.26), and place of residence. While 26.9% had purchased a smartphone for their child, most either allowed shared use (65.3%) or restricted access entirely (7.7%). The data were analyzed using the Reinert method via Iramuteq software. Five key thematic categories emerged: the desire for children to be part of peer groups, social pressure perceived by parents, enabling children's autonomy in public spaces, facilitating local communication practices, and exercising parental control. These findings reveal how smartphone-related decisions are shaped by community norms, safety concerns, and evolving definitions of childhood independence. The study highlights the importance of culturally responsive resources that support diverse parenting approaches without prescribing universal rules about the "right" age for smartphone ownership

Feed additives for methane mitigation: Assessment of feed additives as a strategy to mitigate enteric methane from ruminants—Accounting; How to quantify the mitigating potential of using antimethanogenic feed additives
Recent advances in our understanding of methanogenesis have led to the development of antimethanogenic feed additives (AMFA) that can reduce enteric methane (CH4) emissions to varying extents, via direct targeting of methanogens, alternative electron acceptors, or altering the rumen environment. Here we examine current and new approaches used for the accounting (i.e., quantification) of enteric CH4 abatement by the use of AMFA in the livestock sector from the individual animal to the global scale. Along with this process, recommendations are provided on how to account for the mitigation potential at the animal level, as well as in farm-scale models, emissions trading schemes, life cycle assessment, and carbon (C) footprinting tools, and in regional and national inventories. In addition, an assessment of uncertainties and potential trade-offs and off-setting with the use of AMFA (i.e., efficacy vs. effectiveness, upstream and downstream emissions) is provided. The accounting of on-farm enteric CH4 emissions and benefits from the use of AMFA starts with the ruminant animal (with estimates obtained from a range of approaches, from simple empirical emission factors or equations to complex process-based models) and goes all the way to national and supranational accounting. The choice of methodologies and levels of complexity to account for mitigation of enteric CH4 (or total GHG) emissions in livestock systems must be tailored to the scale of analysis aimed, the availability of input data to represent contextualized conditions, and the accounting objectives (e.g., academic exercise vs. producer's GHG certification vs. national GHG inventory). The accounting of enteric CH4 mitigating effects needs to consider the AMFA delivery methods and synergies and trade-offs of GHG emissions at levels before and beyond (upstream and downstream) the animal to fully assess the impact of AMFA use. At large, the accounting of methane abatement by feed additives remains to be fully assessed beyond experimental results (efficacy) to address pragmatism (effectiveness), potential for adoption, and societal acceptance. © 2025 American Dairy Science AssociationThe Technical Guidelines to Develop Feed Additives to Reduce Enteric Methane is a Flagship Project of the Global Research Alliance (GRA) on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases and contributes to the work of the GRA's Livestock Research Group and Feed and Nutrition Network (https://www.globalresearchalliance.org). Brexit-aren eragin ekonomikoa Europar Batasunean eta Erresuma Batuan: aliatuak edo lehiakideak?
Erresuma Batuak eta Europar Batasunak harreman estua mantendu dute hamarkadetan zehar,
bereziki merkataritza, inbertsio eta lan-mugikortasunaren arloetan. Europar Batasuneko
partaide bezala, Erresuma Batuak merkatu bakarrean parte hartzen zuen, eta bertan ondasun,
zerbitzu, kapital eta pertsonen mugimendu askeari etekina ateratzen zion. Hala ere, 2016ko
erreferendumaren ondoren, Erresuma Batuko herritarrek Europar Batasuna uztea erabaki
zuten, eta horrek aldaketa sakonak ekarri ditu bien arteko harreman ekonomikoan.
XX. mendeko azken hamarkadetan zehar, euro gunearen eta merkatu bakarraren sorrerarekin,
integrazio ekonomikoa sakondu zen. Erresuma Batuaren irteerak prozesu honetan atzera pausu
bat irudikatzen du, integrazioaren hauskortasuna agerian utziz. Aldi berean, EBtik kanpo
egonik, Erresuma Batuak bere merkataritza-politika askatasun handiagoz definitzeko aukera
du, baina, horren truke, merkatu bakarrean parte hartzeko abantailak galdu ditu

Tracing emotional experiences and the well-being during the pandemic through drawings by Spanish children
The changes in emotions experienced during the pandemic and their effects on children's well-being remain a significant issue. This study analyses 86 drawings created by children aged 5–13, collected in fieldwork conducted through workshops across various regions of Spain. The main objective was to describe how children portray their emotional changes and the resulting impact on their lives within the context of the pandemic. We employed qualitative bottom-up logic to code the drawings using CAQDAS. Findings revealed a discernible emotional impact, expressed more explicitly by girls, as well as lasting elements concerning the pandemic and the enduring restrictions on social interactions, even beyond the widespread lockdowns of 2020.INFAPOST project is financed by Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades-MICIU (Grant REF: PID2020-119011RB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/). Generative AI and the Urban AI Policy Challenges Ahead: Trustworthy for Whom?
This Special Issue of Transforming Government: People, Process and Policy addresses the accelerating convergence between Generative AI (GenAI), Urban AI, and public governance. As algorithmic systems are deployed across domains such as transport, welfare, housing, education, and security, cities become both laboratories of innovation and battlegrounds of democratic legitimacy. Trustworthy AI has emerged as a policy imperative—but the question remains: trustworthy for whom? Rather than treating trust as a static feature of technical systems, this Special Issue reframes it as a relational, contested, and institutionally mediated concept—fundamental to the legitimacy of public action in the digital age. Contributions are encouraged that explore GenAI not only as a technological advance, but as a governance challenge that reconfigures discretion, authority, and the social contract between citizens and institutions. Inspired by Richard R. Nelson’s enduring metaphor of “The Moon and the Ghetto”—which captures the asymmetries between technological sophistication and social equity—this Special Issue invites a renewed interrogation of how AI policy can bridge systemic inequalities rather than entrench them. Urban governance frameworks must move beyond techno-solutionism to embed pluralism, accountability, and public value at the core of GenAI deployments. Scholars, policymakers, and practitioners are invited to submit empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented contributions that critically examine how Urban AI can be governed with legitimacy, reflexivity, and justice. This study was supported by (i) European Commission, Horizon 2020, H2020-MSCA-COFUND-2020-101034228-WOLFRAM2: Ikerbasque Start Up Fund, 3021.23.EMAJ; (ii) EHU, Research Groups, IT 2046-26 and IT 1541-22; (iii) Ayuda en Acción NGO, Innovation & Impact Unit, Research Contract: Scientific Direction and Strategic Advisory, Social Innovation Platforms in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (www.designingopportunities.org accessed on 1 July 2024) and AI for Social Innovation.
