APPLYING UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING IN ASSESSMENT OF VIETNAMESE SUBJECT FOR GRADE 1 STUDENTS WITH LANGUAGE DIFFICULTIES
Mục đích của bài viết này là giới thiệu việc vận dụng các nguyên tắc của Thiết kế phổ quát (Universal Design for Learning, UDL) trong đánh giá năng lực ngôn ngữ qua môn tiếng Việt lớp 1 cho học sinh có khó khăn ngôn ngữ ở trường tiểu học hoà nhập thông qua nghiên cứu trường hợp. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, tất cả các chỉ dẫn trong 3 nguyên tắc của UDL đều được vận dụng trong đánh giá năng lực môn tiếng Việt lớp 1 cho trường hợp học sinh có khó khăn ngôn ngữ. Nguyên tắc 1 được áp dụng về mặt đa dạng trong phương tiện trình bày do giáo viên đưa ra. Nguyên tắc 2 được áp dụng về mặt đa dạng trong hiệu suất của học sinh và nguyên tắc 3 trong việc thúc đẩy sự tham gia và tự quyết của học sinh. Từ kết quả nghiên cứu trường hợp, bài viết đã khẳng định các nguyên tắc của UDL có thể vận dụng trong kiểm tra đánh giá kết quả học tập của học sinh có khó khăn ngôn ngữ. Để kiểm thử tính ứng dụng của các nguyên tắc này cần có nhiều những nghiên cứu trên cỡ mẫu lớn trong tương lai.This paper aims to introduce the initial application of the three principles of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the assessment of Vietnamese competency for a grade 1 student with language difficulties in inclusive schools. Results showed that all guidelines introduced in the UDL were applied in assessment for the grade 1 student. The principle 1 guidelines were applied in terms of diversity in presentation means given by teachers. The principle 2 guidelines were applied in terms of diversity in performance by students and the principle 3 guidelines in promoting students’ engagement and self-determination. The results from the case study showcased the relevance and significance of applying the UDL principles in the assessment of Vietnamese competency for students with language difficulties. Further research should be conducted from a large sample size and on different students to examine the UDL application in assessment for primary students with and without language difficulties
INTEGRATING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING THROUGH STEAM ACTIVITIES IN INCLUSIVE EARLY CHILDHOOD CURRICULUM
This paper explores the integration of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) within the context of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities in early childhood education. The primary objective is to examine how SEL can be effectively incorporated into STEAM curricula to support holistic development in young learners. Theoretical frameworks underpinning SEL and STEAM are discussed, highlighting their complementary nature and potential for enhancing children\u27s social and emotional competencies alongside their academic skills. The paper provides a comprehensive review of existing literature and practical guidelines for educators on embedding SEL principles within STEAM activities. It emphasizes the importance of creating a learning environment where children can develop essential social and emotional skills such as empathy, self-regulation, and collaboration while engaging in STEAM-based explorations. SINO-VIETNAMESE LEXICAL ITEMS IN GRADE 2 AND 3 READING TEXTBOOKS AND PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATION FOR TEACHING SINO-VIETNAMESE VOCABULARY FOLLOWING THE 2018 GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
Từ Hán Việt là một trong số các đơn vị kiến thức được sắp xếp theo lộ trình tăng dần độ khó ở chương trình giáo dục tiểu học. Tuy chỉ được chủ động giới thiệu một số từ Hán Việt dễ hiểu nhất định từ lớp 4 trong loại bài Luyện từ và câu (kiểu bài Mở rộng vốn từ), với việc sử dụng đa dạng ngữ liệu trong các văn bản đọc sách giáo khoa biên soạn theo Chương trình 2018, từ Hán Việt là một nội dung dạy học tích hợp cần được chú ý giảng dạy trong hoạt động mở rộng vốn từ cho học sinh, ngay từ các lớp 2 và 3. Nghiên cứu này khảo sát từ Hán Việt trong sách giáo khoa Tiếng Việt bậc tiểu học, phân tích các vấn đề thiết yếu giáo viên cần lưu tâm khi soạn giảng nội dung này cũng như đề xuất một số biện pháp nhằm đảm bảo hiệu quả giảng dạy từ Hán Việt ở các lớp cuối cấp.Sino-Vietnamese lexical items constitute a significant component of the primary school curriculum, progressively introduced at increasing difficulty levels. Theoretical concepts related to these words are presented in the final grades (4 and 5), alongside other linguistic subjects. However, implementing diverse reading materials aligned with the 2018 Curriculum necessitates a more integrated approach to teaching Sino-Vietnamese words, beginning as early as grades 2 and 3. This study examines the prevalence of Sino-Vietnamese words in textbooks, identifies key pedagogical considerations for teachers, and proposes strategies to optimize teaching these words in the final grades
TỔNG QUAN NGHIÊN CỨU VỀ NHẬN THỨC LỜI NÓI CỦA TRẺ KHIẾM THÍNH CẤY ĐIỆN CỰC ỐC TAI
Along with the development of science and technology, the development of cochlear implants has created opportunities for hearing-impaired children to access listening, thereby maximizing their spoken language to integrate into society. Speech perception of hearing-impaired children with cochlear implants is one of the aspects of spoken language that has been focused on by many studies from a very early age. This article describes the research results on speech perception of hearing-impaired children with cochlear implants through narrative review and content analysis from 22 articles published from 1998 to 2020. Results showed that most studies were conducted in different countries around the world, most of which are America and China. These 22 articles focused on two research directions: (1) assessing the speech perception ability of hearing-loss children with cochlear implants and (2) the factors affecting on speech perception ability of hearing-impaired children with cochlear implants. The findings obtained from the content analysis of these 22 articles are valuable for future studies on speech perception of hearing loss children with cochlear implants in Vietnam.Cùng với sự phát triển của khoa học công nghệ, điện cực ốc tai ra đời đã tạo cho trẻ khiếm thính có cơ hội được tiếp cận với nghe, từ đó phát triển tối đa ngôn ngữ nói để hoà nhập vào xã hội. Nhận thức lời nói của trẻ khiếm thính cấy điện cực ốc tai là một trong các khía cạnh của ngôn ngữ nói được nhiều nghiên cứu tập trung từ rất sớm. Bài viết này mô tả những kết quả nghiên cứu về nhận thức lời nói của trẻ khiếm thính cấy điện cực ốc tai bằng phương pháp tổng quan diễn ngôn và phân tích nội dung từ 22 bài báo từ năm 1998 đến năm 2020. Các nghiên cứu này được thực hiện ở các nước khác nhau trên toàn thế giới, nhiều nhất là Mĩ và Trung Quốc. 22 bài báo này tập trung vào 2 hướng nghiên cứu: (1) đánh giá khả năng nhận thức lời nói của trẻ khiếm thính cấy điện cực ốc tai và (2) nghiên cứu các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến nhận thức lời nói của trẻ khiếm thính cấy điện cực ốc tai. Những phát hiện thu được từ việc phân tích nội dung 22 bài báo này được tin là nguồn thu thập hữu ích cho những nghiên cứu sau này về nhận thức lời nói của trẻ khiếm thính cấy điện cực ốc tai ở Việt Nam
APPLICATION OF UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING (UDL) MODEL IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION FOR ADOLESCENTS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD)
Bài viết tập trung vào việc ứng dụng mô hình Thiết kế phổ quát (UDL) trong giáo dục hướng nghiệp cho thanh thiếu niên rối loạn phổ tự kỉ (RLPTK). Thông qua khảo sát thực trạng tại, bài báo phân tích những khó khăn như thiếu chính sách hỗ trợ rõ ràng, tài liệu học tập phù hợp, đội ngũ giáo viên chuyên sâu, và cơ sở hạ tầng cho hoạt động hướng nghiệp nghề cho thanh thiếu niên RLPTK. Bài báo đồng thời đề xuất UDL như một giải pháp hiệu quả nhằm cá nhân hóa và nâng cao chất lượng chương trình hướng nghiệp. Đề xuất khuyến nghị về chính sách hỗ trợ, phát triển chương trình đào tạo dựa trên UDL, nâng cao năng lực giáo viên và xây dựng môi trường học tập thân thiện để tạo cơ hội hòa nhập và phát triển toàn diện cho thanh thiếu niên RLPTK.This article focuses on applying the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) model in career education for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through a survey of the current situation, the paper analyzes challenges such as the lack of clear support policies, appropriate learning materials, specialized teachers, and infrastructure for career guidance activities for youth with ASD. At the same time, UDL is proposed as an effective solution to personalize and improve the quality of career guidance programs. Recommendations are made regarding support policies, the development of training programs based on UDL, enhancing teacher capacity, and building a supportive learning environment to create opportunities for integration and holistic development for youth with ASD
USING GEOGEBRA IN TEACHING CONES TO DEVELOP THE COMPETENCY USING MATHEMATICAL AIDS AND TOOLS FOR GRADE 9 STUDENTS
This article, based on theoretical and practical research on applying GeoGebra software in teaching cones, aims to highlight the current situation related to teaching cones. This is based on a survey involving 34 mathematics teachers and 63 ninth-grade students. Additionally, the article illustrates the development of a lesson plan for ninth-grade cones, emphasizing the direction of enhancing the students\u27 competency in using tools and mathematical learning resources through integrating GeoGebra software. Building dynamic models using GeoGebra software helps students describe the concept of a cone and the relationship between GeoGebra and real-life situations in ninth grade while enhancing visual and dynamic aspects compared to traditional teaching methods. Furthermore, the article introduces a tool for teachers, which only needs a GeoGebra file with pre-set tools. ALL-OPTICAL LOGIC GATE OPERATION WITH A MULTI-CORE NONLINEAR PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER
In this paper, we propose the design of a photonic crystal fiber with four central cores infiltrated by a high-index liquid to achieve highly efficient control of light guidance. We analyze the field distribution, effective mode area, and dispersion characteristics of the fundamental guided modes of the fiber. Within the coupled-mode theory, the pulse propagation in the fiber is governed by coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. We use the split-step Fourier method to simulate the propagation of pulses numerically. The results show three features of the dynamics: oscillation, switching, and self-trapping. STUDY ON THE CO ADSORPTION PROPERTIES OF ACTIVATED CARBON PRODUCED FROM CORN COB
Activated carbon (AC) prepared from corn cobs was used as an adsorbent for CO2 capture under different temperatures. The characterization by Boehm titration and TGA showed that the total acidic groups of AC were significantly higher than the total basic groups, and the increasing activated temperature resulted in increases in the total basicity and decreases in the total acidity. The CO2 adsorption behavior of AC was predicted by four isotherm models. It was found that the suitable order was Sips > Tóth > Freudlich > Langmuir. The maximum monolayer coverage capacity and isosteric heat of adsorption were in the range of 6.28 - 10.92 mmol g-1 and 26.48 - 21.55 kJ mol-1, respectively. High specific surface area and high amount of carboxylic groups were found to be in favor of CO2 capture.

ASYMMETRIC FUNCTIONAL-BASED APPROACHTO EXPONENTIAL STABILITY OF LINEAR DISTRIBUTEDTIME-DELAY SYSTEMS
In this paper, the problem of exponential stability of linear time-delay systems with mixed discrete and distributed delays is studied. Based on an asymmetric Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities to guarantee the exponential convergence of the system state trajectories with a prescribed decay rate. ROBUST STABILITY OF UNCERTAIN HOPFIELD NEURAL NETWORKS WITH PROPORTIONAL DELAYS
The problem of robust stability is investigated for a class of uncertain Hopfield-type neural networks with proportional delays. The existence and uniqueness of an equilibrium is first established using the homeomorphic mapping theorem.
