CORPORATE CASH HOLDINGS IN THE NIGERIAN CAPITAL MARKET: AN ANALYSIS OF FINANCIALLY CONSTRAINED AND NON-FINANCIALLY CONSTRAINED COMPANIES
The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence thecorporate cash holdings of companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange(NSE) between 2005 and 2019 using a static and dynamic panel regressiontechnique. Although a variety of factors have been studied in the past, it isunclear whether factors affecting companies that are financially constraineddiffer from non-financially constrained companies. The findingsdemonstrated that cash flow, company size, and growth opportunities aresignificant determinants of corporate cash holdings. In particular, the tradeofftheory supports a negative association between cash flow and corporatecash holdings, but the pecking order theory supports a positive associationbetween company size and corporate cash holdings. Growth opportunities,on the other hand, is consistent with free cash flow theory and has a negativerelationship with corporate cash holdings
القيم الإسلامية وأثرها في غرس التكافل
تقوم القيم الإسلامية بدور كبير في المجتمع، ويتضح هذا من خلال ما تغرسه في الفرد منذ نشأته على الشعور بالمسؤولية تجاه غيره ممن يعيشون حوله، بل تمتد هذه المسؤولية للدنيا بأسرها، فالإسلام يربي في الفرد المسلم الشعور بالمسئولية تجاه إخوانه، ليس في الدين فقط وإنما مد ظلاله لكل إنسان، ولم لا أليس الإنسان هو محور التكريم الإلهي؟! مشكلة البحث: يواجه الكثير من الآباء صعوبات في غرس القيم والمباديء التي يؤمنون بها في أولادهم، فما هو الطريق الأمثل لإقناع الأبناء بقيم التعاون والإيثار؟ وتتضح إشكالية البحث في كيفية تفعيل القيم التربوية لإنشاء مجتمع متكافل؟ وما دور الفرد والمجتمع في هذا الشأن؟ وما العناية التي أولاها الإٍسلام للتكافل الاجتماعى؛ ليكون نظاماً لتربية روح الفرد وضميره وسلوكه الاجتماعى؛ وليكون نظاماً للعلاقات الاجتماعية؟ الهدف من هذا البحث: إبراز أن القيم الإسلامية منهج لحياة الفرد والمجموع، والإسلام كمنهج حياة يدعو أفراد المجتمع إلى الالتزام بهذه القيم، ومد يد العون لكل محتاج، فالإنسان كرمه الله سبحانه في كتابه الكريم، وجعله محور الرسالة الخاتمة، وذلل له الأرض؛ لينتفع من خيراتها، وما كان ليستطيع أن ينهض بمهمته في الحياة إلا بتكاتفه مع الأخرين. منهج البحث:سلكت في هذا البحث منهج الاستقراء لبعض نصوص الوحيين، ورؤية بعض العلماء لمفهوم التكافل، مع تحليل النصوص الواردة بالبحث واستنتاج الأحكام منها. النتائج المتوقعة لهذا البحث: إبراز كيف كان الإسلام سباقاً على غيره من الأنظمة والتشريعات الوضعية في تقريره لهذا الجانب، وحث أفراده على هذا الأمر، بل إيجاب ذلك عليهم وقت الأزمات. هيكلة البحث: يتكون من ملخص وأربعة مطالب على النحو التالي: المطلب الأول: في مفهوم القيم ومصادرها ومجالاتها.المطلب الثاني: في ماهية التكافل في الإسلام وأهميته،المطلب الثالث:التكافل ومبادئ الإسلام.المطلب الرابع:التكافل بين المعنوي والمادي. وخاتمة فيها نتائج البحث، وقائمة المصادر والمراجع
SOROTAN PEMBINAAN PERADABAN ISLAM MELALUI KERANGKA EPISTEMOLOGI ISLAM
Peradaban Islam terbukti telah menyumbang kepada pembinaan tamadun dunia samada di Afrika, Asia, Andalus dan sebahagian besar Eropah. Pencapaian hebat ini meliputi bidang-bidang ilmu yang utama dan dicatatkan dalam sejarah. Rahsia kejayaan adalah terletak kepada kefahaman Islam yang seimbang dan syumul dalam kalangan para sarjana dan cendekiawan Islam. Artikel ini cuba membahaskan peranan kefahaman umat Islam terhadap konsep epistemologi Islam sebagai asas penting pembinaan peradaban Islam yang cemerlang. Kerangka epistemologi Islam ini akan diteliti bagi mengembalikan semula kegemilangan umat Islam masa lalu serta meletakkan kedudukan umat Islam masa kini sebagai khalifah Allah di muka bumi dalam posisi yang sebenarnya. Kajian ini bersifat kualitatif yang mengaplikasikan pendekatan analisis kandungan. Data-data kajian dikumpulkan melalui buku-buku, jurnal-jurnal, kertas-kertas persidangan dan kajian ilmiah. Dapatan kajian merumuskan bahawa ilmu epistemologi penting dalam memahami asas-asas pengetahuan dan sumber kebenaran. Dengan mempelajari prinsip-prinsip epistemologi, umat Islam dapat memahami keabsahan dan kekuatan wahyu sebagai sumber pengetahuan yang utama. Perbezaan epistemologi Islam dan Barat adalah berbeza pada pendekatan asas, dan pemahaman asas mengenai pengetahuan dan sumber kebenaran. Epistemologi Barat cenderung berpusat pada pengetahuan yang diperoleh melalui pengamatan, penelitian ilmiah, dan akal manusia yang menjadikan sumber kebenaran utama adalah pengalaman empirikal dan metod saintifik. Ianya berbeza dalam Islam, peranan akal (reason) dan wahyu (revelation) saling berkaitan. Akal digunakan untuk merenung dan memahami wahyu, sementara wahyu memberikan petunjuk dan batasan bagi akal. Peradaban Islam masa lalu berjaya dibina ekoran kesyumulan fahaman umat Islam terhadap kerangka ilmu. Umat Islam dahulu memahami kedudukan ilmu fardhu ain dan fardhu kifayah serta tuntutan integrasi antara kedua-dua ilmu tersebut. Strategi dan langkah penting yang perlu diambil oleh umat Islam hari ini bagi memegang teraju dunia dari segi pencapaian peradaban yang gemilang adalah kembali meneliti dan memahami epistemologi Islam seterusnya melaksanakannya berasaskan ketaqwaan kepada Allah S.W.T.
KECERDASAN BUATAN (AI) SEBAGAI MEDIUM TRANSFORMASI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB
Penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) semakin relevan dalam pelbagai bidang masa kini kerana kemampuannya mensimulasikan kecerdasan manusia dan dikendalikan oleh mesin tertentu. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa, dengan memberi tumpuan khusus kepada kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penyelidikan ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif, khususnya analisis kandungan, sebagai teknik untuk menyemak artikel-artikel yang diperoleh daripada pangkalan data yang relevan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan empat (4) tema utama berkaitan penggunaan AI dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa iaitu mampu membentuk ayat, menterjemah, meletakkan baris (tasykil), pembelajaran yang interaktif serta pembelajaran secara kendiri . FIRES OF MOTIVATION: A JOURNEY THROUGH INFLUENCING FACTORS - A NARRATIVE REVIEW
Introduction: Employee motivation is a critical aspect of organizational success, characterized by an employee's passion, energy levels, dedication, and innovative contributions on a daily basis. Rooted in the Latin word "movere," which signifies "moving," motivation is recognized as a behavior that must be directed towards achieving specific goals and outcomes. Employee motivation revolves around an employee's sense of engagement and empowerment within the organization's objectives. Objective: This research aims to explore the multifaceted nature of employee motivation, specifically investigating the interplay between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and the internal and external factors that influence it. Through the analysis of ten pertinent articles, this study seeks to identify key determinants that enhance working motivation across diverse fields. Method: The research involved a comprehensive review and analysis of ten selected articles that delved into the intricacies of employee motivation. These articles were chosen to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject, encompassing both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors, as well as internal and external determinants. Thematic analysis was employed to extract and categorize relevant data. Results: The findings of this study shed light on the pivotal role of both internal and external factors in shaping an individual's working motivation. Internally, factors such as fatigue, personal interests, and self-attitude emerge as significant influencers of motivation levels. Externally, factors like leadership style, the work environment, and human dynamics were identified as potent drivers of working motivation. These results underscore the intricate interplay between an employee's internal disposition and the external context in which they operate, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to motivation within organizations. Conclusion: This research emphasizes the need to consider various factors that affect employee motivation. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are not enough. Internal and external elements also matter. Organizations must act on these findings to boost productivity and success
MARITAL ISSUES IN THE BOOK OF ANNADHARAAT BY MANFALUTI
Al-Manfaluti's book contains many social issues addressed by the writer, all of which are represented in five templates that the writer followed in his stories and articles, namely: the call to enlighten society and motivate it towards independence of minds, self-respect, love in magnanimity, uniqueness and genius, criticism of writers, journalists, poets and linguists, criticism of politics and social corruption resulting from Western civilization, correction of moral warp and the call for good morals, and reform of marital and educational issues. This study sheds light on the first part of the last template in the book, which is marital issues, and how the author of the book deals with them, adopting a descriptive and analytical approach, thus linking the similarities of the topics addressed in the issues raised from the book, in order to reach the conclusion of the ideas that the writer calls for under each issue. The study found that the writer appealed in marital issues both to abandon injustice, and the call for charity, mercy, justice and loyalty, and appreciation of female minds and respect, and criticism of forced and early marriage, as well as in educational issues the call for female education to give them the outlets of freedom
LEARNING STYLES AND ONLINE LEARNING SATISFACTION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS POST-COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Background: Learning styles can be defined as factors, behaviours, and attitudes that aid the learning process. It benefits students as it allows a better understanding of the lesson. Purpose: This study aims to identify the learning styles and satisfaction of online learning of health sciences-based students at the International Islamic University Malaysia post-COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study with convenience sampling was conducted among 260 students from April to June 2022. Data were gathered using Google Forms and a self-administered questionnaire, available in English and distributed to the Kulliyyah of Nursing, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Science, Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, Kulliyyah of Medicine, and Kulliyyah of Dentistry students. The questionnaire was adopted and adapted from two sets of questionnaires, i.e., two sets from the Felder and Soloman Index Learning Styles and one set of satisfaction questionnaires from Aritino (2008). Data analysis was done using SPSS version 26.0. Results: Most respondents chose the visual, sensing, and sequential learning styles, while an almost balanced proportion chose activist-reflective. Most of them have high levels of satisfaction with online learning. Conclusion: Students prefer the Visual, Sensing, and Sequential learning styles and have high levels of online learning satisfaction
A STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF IQRA' COMPARING METHODS OF BAGHDADI, AL-BARQY AND ABAHATA AL-JABARI ON STUDENT EFFECTIVENESS IN PAHANG TOWN DISTRICT
This study was conducted to identify the success of the Iqra' method implemented in PdPc khatam al-Quran and tasmic in all national schools in Pekan district, Pahang. This study involved a total of 181 respondents consisting of 100 students from eight schools in Pekan district, 40 Pekan district Islamic education teachers (GPI) and 41 randomly selected guardian parents. The data obtained was analyzed using IBM SPSS software (Statistical Package Social Science) version 20 which was presented in the form of frequency, percentage and mean. In order to strengthen the quantitative research, methods of observation, interview and library research were carried out. As a result, this study found that the achievement of al-Quran for students in the Pekan district is at a moderate level, which is 51.57% proficient, the teacher's perception of the Iqra' method is at a moderate level with an average mean=3.63, the students' perception of the Iqra' method is at a high level with an average mean=3.91 and the perception of guardian parents is at a high level with an average mean=3.71. While the results of the observation, interview and library methods conducted found that the methods of al-Baghdadi, al-Barqy and Abahata al-Jabari are able to have a better impact on the development of students in the Pekan district to master the Quranic skills within the time period set by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOF)

This study aims to identify the hadith of the Holy Qur’an about following the guidance of the Prophet، may ALLAH’s prayers and peace be upon him، and to explain the hadiths contained in following the example of the Prophet، may ALLAH’s prayers and peace be upon him، and to clarify the biography of the righteous predecessors in following the guidance of the Prophet، may ALLAH’s prayers and peace be upon him. We have the way، and it protects us from slipping in all matters، and even gives hope to accompany the Prophet، may ALLAH’s prayers and peace be upon him، in Paradise with the prophets، the truthful، the martyrs، and the righteous. DIGITAL COMPETENCY AMONG EDUCATORS IN MALAYSIA FACING WITH FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION (IR4.0)
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) concept is to transform from emergence of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in industry (IR3.0) to digital revolution. The educational settings need to be complied with the changes by adopting the concept of digital education accordance with IR4.0. However, the digital competency among educators to face with IR4.0 in Malaysia need to be discovered. This systematic literature review (SLR) article focuses on to discover issues concerning the digital competency among educators in Malaysia to cope with IR4.0. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) was adopted for the review of the current research which utilized two main journal databases, namely Scopus and EBSCO. The searching efforts resulted in a total of fifteen (15) articles that can be analyzed systematically. The analysis managed to discover eleven (11) main digital competencies issues concerning to educators to cope with IR4.0 in Malaysia which are (1) personal attributes including general and specific characteristics, (2) attitude towards technologies, (3) level of confidence and readiness, (4) education level, (5) lacking of professional development, (6) inadequate prior knowledge of computer and technical literacy as well as limited exposure, (7) inexperience in term of years in teaching, (8) restricted resources and insufficient amount of specific content, (9) time constraint to prepare and converting conventional teaching content to technological and digitally basis, (10) institution characteristic, and (11) contextual characteristics. The successful implementation of IR4.0 in the education settings requires a joint effort between authorities and educators. Both parties play vital roles in supporting each other to effectively embrace digital transformation in education. A number of recommendations were presented at the end of this research for the reference of future scholars
