Štúdie príbuzenstva boli základom klasickej antropológie. Poskytnutím prehľadu hlavných rodinných praktík, ktoré obklopujú manželstvo vo vidieckej komunite, článok ukazuje, že manželstvo bolo a naďalej je jadrom príbuzenských väzieb v Rumunsku, pretože predstavuje hlavný zdroj moci pre jednotlivcov zúčastňujúcich sa na horizontálnych vzťahoch v ich sociálnom prostredí.Kinship studies were the foundation of classical anthropology. By providing an overview of the main family practices that surround marriage in a rural community, the article shows that marriage has been and continues to be the core of kin ties in Romania as it constitutes the main source of power for individuals participating in in horizontal relations, in their social environment

No full textNárodopis / etnografia a folkloristika / etnológia a kultúrna antropológia patrí k prvým odborom, ktoré sa začali prednášať na Filozofickej fakulte v roku 1921, v roku založenia Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave. V tomto roku si pripomenieme preto dve jubileá - 90. výročie konštituovania Univerzity, ako aj existenciu odbor národopis, ktorý sa prednášal ako vôbec na prvej univerzite v Československu. Toto významné jubileum odboru bolo podnetom na zostavenie samostatného čísla medzinárodného zborníka Ethnologia Slovaca et Slavica, ktorý od roku 1969 redakčne pripravuje Katedra etnológie a kultúrnej antropológie FiF UK.Národopis / ethnography and folkloristics / ethnology and cultural anthropology was among the first subjects that were taught at the Faculty of Philosophy in the year 1921, the year Comenius University was founded. Thus we commemorate two major anniversaries this year - 90 years since the establishment of the University, and the existence of a subject of study called národopis, this being the very first university in Czechoslovakia where the subject was taught. This major anniversary is the reason for a special volume of international periodical Etnologia Slovaca et Slavica, under the editorship of the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, since 1969

Tento článok predstavuje analýzu a interpretáciu životných príbehov mužov a žien v konkrétnom kultúrnom prostredí vo vzťahu k teoretickým vysvetleniam autobiografickej pamäte. Autor sa zameriava na stanovenie rozdielu medzi kultúrnym konceptom biografie mužov a kultúrnym konceptom biografie žien, ktoré sa narodili pred rokom 1950 v obci Žakarovce

John Eade je profesorom sociológie a antropológie na Univerzite v Roehamptone, hosťujúcim profesorom na Katedre pre štúdium náboženstva Univerzity v Toronte, členom Výskumnej jednotky migrácie na UCL a spoluzakladateľom a spolueditorom publikácií Routledge Studies in Pilgrimage, Religious Travel and Tourism a Bloomsbury Religion, Space & Place Series. Je tiež bývalým výkonným riaditeľom CRONEM (Centrum pre výskum nacionalizmu, etnicity a multikulturalizmu).John Eade is Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Roehampton, Visiting Professor at the Department for the Study of Religion, Toronto University, a member of the Migration Research Unit at UCL and co-founder and co-editor of Routledge Studies in Pilgrimage, Religious Travel and Tourism and the Bloomsbury Religion, Space & Place Series. He is also the former Executive Director of CRONEM (Centre for Research on Nationalism, Ethnicity and Multiculturalism).
