    Data of rotation and revolution of optically trapped gold nanorods in water glycerol mixture

    Data obtained in optical trapping experiments with circularly polarized Laugerre-Gaussian beam with orbital number l &#61; 2. Radius of the ring in the focus is equal R &#61; 800 nm. The gold nanorods of mean length L &#61; 180 nm and diameter D &#61; 70 nm are trapped in water-glycerol solution of different concentrations for 0-40% weight percentage of glycerol. Inside the optical trap gold nanords are rotating around their center of mass and orbiting the beam. The motion of the particle is recorded using quadrant photo diode placed in Fourier plane of the microscope setup. The experimental setup and experimental procedure can be found in related publication, but the data in this data set are not part of this publication.Optical setup description:The 980 nm laser light comes from the Fiber Bragg Grating Stabilized Laser Diode (3S 1999CHP) driven by temperature stabilized driver (Thorlabs CLD1015). Light is outcoupled by the parabolic mirror collimator (Thorlabs RC08FC-P01), which creates a Gaussian beam. The beam passes through a quarter wave-plate, which changes its polarization into circular and then through m &#61; 1 vortex retarder (Thorlabs WPV10L-980), which changes the beam into Laguerre-Gaussian beam with orbital number l &#61; ±2. The LG beam goes through 50:50 non-polarizing beam splitter (Thorlabs BS014) and is focused using the 40x microscope objective (Olympus LUCPLFLN40X).The water glycerin solution with gold nanorods (concentration ~0.1 pM) in placed between two microscope slides (thickness 1 mm and 0.17 mm) spaced with 0.12 mm spacer.The sample is illuminated by LED and oil immersion dark field condenser with NA &#61; 1.2-1.36. The light scattered by gold nanorods (both white light and 980 nm laser light) is collected by the microscope objective and through beam splitter it goes into the observation arm of the setup. The tube lens (Thorlabs TTL200-S8) is used to create an image. The flip mirror can direct the light on 1) camera (Flir Blackfly s U3 04S2M CS) placed at the image plane and preceded by the 950 nm short pass filter (Semrock FF01-950/SP-25); 2) the quadrant photo-diode (First Sensor QP50-6 SD 2) placed at the Fourier plane created by a Bertrand lens and preceded by a linear polarizer, data were recorded with frequency of QPD equal 262144 Hz.The weight percentage of glycerol is equal 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 %Data were collected in January 2024, folder name describe date20240104 - 10 and 20 %, laser power data20240105 - 30 and 40 %20240108 - pure water</p

    Allocation decisions across domains following fair and unfair treatment

    Database from the study investigating allocation decisions across financial and non-financial domains following fair and unfair treatment in social interactions. The research compares allocations made after prior fair or unfair treatment, depending on whether participants previously engaged in a financial or non-financial task and whether their subsequent decision involved a financial or non-financial allocation.The Database includes 671 observations. Participants first completed a financial or non-financial task and received either a fair (50/50) or unfair (20/80) allocation from a previous participant. Afterward, they made an allocation decision themselves—either dividing 10 Experimental Dollars or assigning 10 tasks to another person—depending on experimental condition. Emotional responses to the prior treatment and perceived fairness were also measured.</p

    Czynniki inne niż BMI związane z ryzykiem kardiometabolicznym u dzieci z ciężką otyłością

    Rosnąca częstość występowania ciężkiej otyłości wśród dzieci i młodzieży stanowi istotne wyzwanie dla pediatrów i lekarzy pierwszego kontaktu. Celem tego badania było zbadanie zależności między parametrami biochemicznymi, antropometrycznymi, pomiarami ciśnienia krwi i parametrami pochodzącymi z analizy bioimpedancji (BIA) w celu zidentyfikowania potencjalnych powikłań kardiometabolicznych związanych z ciężką otyłością.Do badania włączono 347 dzieci (162 chłopców, 185 dziewcząt) w wieku 0-19 lat, spełniających kryteria otyłości ciężkiej, oparte na progach BMI dla różnych grup wiekowych. Rekrutację pacjentów przeprowadzono w czterech ośrodkach endokrynologii dziecięcej w Polsce. U każdego uczestnika wykonano pomiary antropometryczne, ocenę etapu dojrzewania, pomiar ciśnienia krwi, badania biochemiczne i hormonalne oraz BIA.BMI wykazało istotną zależność z procentem masy tłuszczowej (FM%) i stosunkiem talii do wzrostu (WHtR), ale nie wykazało stosunku talii do bioder (WHR). Zależność BMI od FM% była silniejsza u dziewcząt i dzieci w okresie przed okresem dojrzewania. Wynik Z-score zespołu metabolicznego (MetS) wykazał silną dodatnią korelację z BMI u dzieci w okresie dojrzewania. Ujemną korelację pomiędzy HDL a trójglicerydami zaobserwowano jedynie u chłopców. U dzieci przed okresem dojrzewania wykazano silniejsze korelacje, pomimo mniejszej liczebności próby i krótszego czasu trwania otyłości.Wnioski: Uwzględnienie wielu parametrów wykraczających poza samo BMI pozwala lepiej zrozumieć ryzyko kardiometaboliczne związane z ciężką otyłością u dzieci. Wynik MetS Z-score nie był wiarygodnym wskaźnikiem zwiększonego ryzyka kardiometabolicznego u młodszych dzieci. Ciężka otyłość o wczesnym początku wiązała się z większym ryzykiem powikłań metabolicznych. Wczesna interwencja ma kluczowe znaczenie dla złagodzenia powikłań metabolicznych w tej populacji.Badania te zostały w całości sfinansowane przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki, Polska (2021/41/B/NZ5/01676).W załączonym pliku znajdują się surowe dane, użyte do analizy, powiązane z publikacją.</p

    Widma NMR - metabolomiczna analiza surowic pacjentów zakażonych Pseudomonas aeruginos

    Zdeponowane dane to surowe widma spektroskopii jądrowego rezonansu magnetycznego (NMR) wykonane na ekstraktach surowicy od pacjentów zakażonych (i niezakażonych) Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Wykonano je w celu zebrania profili metabolomicznych próbek i wykorzystano do analiz metabolomicznych.Pomiary zostały wykonane na spektrometrze NMR Bruker AVANCE II 600.58 MHz. Użyto pulssekwencji cpmgpr1d (w notacji Brukera). Protokół ekstrakcji próbek był następujący: 300 µl surowicy krwi wymieszano przez 1 min z 600 µl metanolu i umieszczono w -20°C na 20 min. W kolejnym etapie próbki odwirowano (15 min, 11000 rpm, 4°C) i 650 µl supernatantu odparowano (1100 rpm, 4.5 h, 40°C). W ostatnim kroku próbki zawieszono w 650 µl buforu PBS (0.1 M, 20% D2O, pH&#61;7.4, TSP&#61;0.03 mM) i przeniesiono do 5-mm rurek NMR (Norell ®).W folderze znajdują się 104 foldery, w których zawarte są dane spektroskopowe dla każdej z próbek surowicy (widma 1H 1D NMR). Dodatkowy folder zawiera wyniki pomiarów spektroskopowych widm 2D NMR dla wybranej próbki surowicy krwi (4 podfoldery).Po otwarciu plików w programie do obróbki widm NMR (np. Bruker TopSpin) znajdują się opisy każdej z próbek oraz szczegółowe parametry przeprowadzonych pomiarów.</p

    Electrodeposited CoFeNi MEA coating on a Cu substrate from chlorides solution with enhanced corrosion resistance

    This dataset contains the results of structure and corrosion resistance of electrodeposited CoFeNi medium-entropy alloy (MEA) coating on a copper substrate. The structural data include X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results that confirm the presence of face-centered cubic (FCC) phase and nanocrystalline structure. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies contain the images of coating surface in the back-scattered electrons (BSE) mode and the energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) maps of chemical elements distribution. The dataset contains also SEM images and atomic force microscope (AFM) surface topography analysis of the copper substrate after degreasing and etching before electrodeposition. The electrochemical results confirm the enhanced corrosion resistance of the MEA coating in a 3.5% NaCl environment at 25 °C. The dataset includes the results of open-circuit potential in a function of time (1800s) and polarization resistance curves for the copper substrate and the sample with MEA coating.Sample preparation:Substrate material: copper plate with dimensions of 50 × 50 × 0.5 mm degreased in a solution of NaOH (25 g/L), Na2CO3 (25 g/L), and Na3PO4 (25 g/L) and then etched in a solution of H2SO4 (100 mL/L), HNO3 (30 mL/L), and HCl (10 mL/L). Each time after degreasing and etching, the plate was rinsed in distilled water.Coating: the electrodeposition process was performed in the aqueous solution of FeCl2 ∙ 4H2O (8.11 g/L), CoCl2 ∙ 6H2O (7.138 g/L), NiCl2 ∙ 6H2O (14.262 g/L), and H3BO3 (15 g/L) with graphite anode with dimensions of 120 × 44 × 4 mm.
