Role of different variants of leptin receptor in human adrenal tumor types
Quantitative PCR (qPCR) results showing mRNA expression levels of leptin receptor isoforms (LepR1–LepR5) in adrenal tumor and control tissue samples. RNA was isolated from adrenal tissues, reverse-transcribed to cDNA, and analyzed using SYBR Green qPCR on a Bio-Rad CFX96 system. B2M served as the reference gene. Each column represents: B2M.Cq – reference gene Cq; lep1.Cq, lep2.Cq, lep3.Cq, lep5.Cq – Cq values for leptin receptor transcript variants; lep1_dd–lep5_dd – ΔCq (difference between target and B2M); ddCt_lep1–ddCt_lep5 – ΔΔCq relative to control mean; and 2^-ddCt_lep1–2^-ddCt_lep5 – normalized relative expression (fold change). Empty cells indicate undetectable expression. Primer pairs used in the qPCR correspond to specific leptin receptor transcript variants: lep1 → transcript variant 1 (LepR1), lep2 → variants 2 and 4 (LepR2&LepR4), lep3 → variants 3 and 6 (LepR3&LepR6), lep5 → variant 5 (LepR5). Cq values represent the number of amplification cycles required to reach the fluorescence threshold and are inversely related to expression level. Relative expression was calculated using the 2^-ΔΔCq method.</p

Empirical data on the average percentage of shares represented at the general meetings of a sample of public companies registered in Poland between 2014 and 2024
The data relates to the companies that were included in the WIG20 (the stock market index comprising the 20 largest companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange), the mWIG40 (the stock market index comprising the 40 largest companies, excluding those in the WIG20 index) and the sWIG80 (the stock market index comprising the 80 largest companies after those in the WIG20 and mWIG40 indices), as of 1 March 2025. The portfolio of companies included in the above indices was determined on 22 November 2024, following the quarterly adjustment on 20 December 2024. The analysis covered 91 companies as a result of the adopted criteria, including 17 companies from the WIG20 index, 24 companies from the mWIG40 index and 50 companies from the sWIG80 index.The analysis covers companies based in the Republic of Poland that published a current report containing resolutions passed at ordinary general meetings, as well as a list of shareholders holding at least 5% of votes at these meetings, between 2014 and 2024.The data was collected from current reports on resolutions passed at ordinary general meetings, which are published by companies in accordance with § 19(1)(6) of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of March 29, 2018 on Current and Periodic Information Published by Issuers of Securities and Conditions for Regarding Information Required by the Law of a Non-member State as Equivalent (Official Journal of 2018, item 757 with subsequent amendments). Analysis of these reports made it possible to obtain information on the average percentage of shares represented at such meetings. This average percentage was determined based on the percentage of shares for which valid votes were cast when voting on resolutions regarding the distribution of the company's profits or the coverage of its losses, as adopted at ordinary general meetings.Data was also collected from current reports comprising lists of shareholders who held at least 5% of the total votes cast at ordinary general meetings held between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2024. These reports were published by companies in accordance with Article 70(3) of the Act of 29 July 2005 on Public Offering and Conditions for Introducing Financial Instruments into Organised Trading Systems, and on Public Companies (Official Journal of 2025, item 592 with subsequent amendments).Data was determined separately for each company in relation to each year covered by the analysis and then aggregated to calculate statistical characteristics. Early administration of antibiotics to turkey poults impairs maternal immunity and post-vaccination antibody synthesis
It was assumed that early antibiotic administration can slow down yolk sac resorption and decrease maternal antibody transfer and lysozyme levels in the yolk sac content and serum, thus disrupting the development of humoral immunity in turkeys. The experiment was conducted on female turkeys divided into following group: CON (control) – received no coccidiostat or antibiotics; MON – received monensin in the feed for 56 days; ENR and DOX – received enrofloxacin or doxycycline per os for the first 5 days of life. Additionally, half of the birds in each of this group were vaccinated against turkey rhinotracheitis (TRT), the disease caused by avian metapneumoviruses (aMPV) and Newcastle disease caused by Newcastle disease virus (NDV) at the first day of life (IN), and against ornithobacteriosis caused by Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) at 28 days of life (SC). On days 1, 3 and 5 of the birds’ lives, yolk sacs were collected to assess their resorption. Yolk sac resorption was assessed by calculating yolk sac relative weight based on the measurement of the yolk sac mass and body weight of turkeys. On days 1, 3, 5, 7 and 56, blood was collected to assess anti-aMPV, anti-NDV, anti-ORT antibody titers and immunoglobulin and lysozyme levels. Early administration per os of ENR and DOX or feeding diets containing MON did not inhibit yolk sac resorption, but reduced levels of specific maternal anti-aMPV, anti-NDV and anti-ORT antibodies and IgY and IgM in the yolk sac. Enrofloxacin and doxycycline decreased the titers of anti-aMPV and anti-NDV antibodies and the level of maternal IgY and IgM in turkeys, which could be due to the direct effect exerted by antibiotics on maternal antibodies present in the circulatory system of poults and the inhibition of post-vaccination synthesis of specific antibodies. The administration of antibiotics in the early rearing period should only be implemented in situations of clearly confirmed disease states when the expected health benefits outweigh the risk of weakening immunity.</p
Vinpocetine: Compatibility Study with parenteral nutrition admixtures
Compatibility studies of vinpocetine with parenteral nutrition mixtures. Compatibility studies were performed, i.e. pH, particle size, PDI, zeta potential, osmolality of mixtures, drug solutions and tested drug: parenteral nutrition admixtures. As a result of the conducted experiments, signs of incompatibility of the lipid emulsion or decomposition of the tested drugs were observed. VP should not be administered with the studied lipid emulsions for parenteral nutrition.</p
Blockchain adoption in auditing: A systematic literature review – Supplementary information
This publication serves as supplementary information for the article:Ziemba, E.W., Renik, K., Maruszewska, E.W., & Mullins, R. (2025). Blockchain adoption in auditing: A systematic literature review. Central European Management Journal, 33(3).This article presents a comprehensive overview of blockchain technology (BT) adoption in auditing, focusing on three key stages: pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation. From an initial pool of 2,610 sources, 63 relevant articles were selected and analyzed from the Scopus database. The findings reveal a promising and multidisciplinary research field, primarily driven by academic scholars, with limited practitioner involvement. The predominance of review and conceptual studies underscores the need for more empirical research. This study introduces a framework for BT adoption in auditing. It offers valuable insights into the adoption process – from when organizations justify adopting BT in auditing to fully leveraging its potential and realizing its benefits. Furthermore, the study outlines a future research agenda with 35 research questions to develop a comprehensive approach to BT adoption in auditing.</p

formation of UHMWPE nanofibers during solid-state deformation
The deposited data contain results obtained from SEM and DSC measurements. The attached data are provided in the form of text and Excel files typical of the respective software used.The attached data were obtained using the following tests:The melting and non-isothermal crystallization of the composites were examined by employing an indium-calibrated differential scanning calorimeter DSC Q20 (TA Instruments, New Castle, DE, USA). Samples weighing 6–10 mg were heated to 180 °C, annealed for 3 min, and cooled down to crystallize, at the constant heating/cooling rate of 10 °C min−1. The morphology of in situ generated composites was investigated with a JSM-5500 LV scanning electron microscope (SEM, Jeol, Tokyo, Japan). The internal structure of the samples was exposed after a fracture in liquid nitrogen. The cryo-fracture surfaces of samples were coated with 20 nm thick gold layers by ion sputtering (JFC-1200, Jeol, Tokyo, Japan) and examined with SEM in a high vacuum mode at the accelerating voltage of 10–20 kV.</ul
