    Physiotherapy and whole-body vibration in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis

    Conservative treatment for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis includes physiotherapeutic scoliosis-specific exercises. One approach that incorporates PSSE is the Rigo Concept Recently, interest has grown in incorporating whole-body vibration (WBV) into physiotherapy. It may be beneficial in the treatment of scoliosis. This study aimed to assess the influence of physiotherapy based on the Rigo Concept approach combined with whole-body vibration on sagittal spinal curvatures, trunk symmetry, and the angle of trunk rotation in subjects with scoliosis.Girls with scoliosis participated in a physiotherapy session based on the Rigo Concept. Among them, one part of participants additionally received WBV on a Galileo Med25 platform (3 x 3 min., frequency 25 Hz, peak to peak displacement 2 mm), forming the Rigo-WBV group; the others received only the Rigo Concept. Thoracic kyphosis, lumbar lordosis, and sacral slope were measured with digital inclinometer (degrees), coronal balance was measured with plumb line from the occipital prominence to the gluteal creft (centimeters). For the assessment of scapular height asymmetry, the inferior angles of the scapulae were marked bilaterally. A rigid ruler was placed across these points, and the scoliometer was positioned on the ruler to record the angle of inclination (degrees). ATR were measured with scoliometer during the Adams test before and after the session (degrees).The study was designed as a controlled experimental trial with two groups.</p

    Theoretical 3D Fourier maps of electrostatic potential generated with TAAM structure factors for lysozyme with bulk solvent

    The dataset contains 3D Fourier maps of electrostatic potential for lysozyme with bulk solvent generated with the transferable aspherical atom model (TAAM) using the UBDB/MATTS data bank, the associated structural model of lysozyme with bulk solvent and structure factors file.For the technical details on the method to generate the Fourier maps of electrostatic potential and for the theoretical background on the method, see Kulik et al., 2022.The Fourier maps were generated using the atomic coordinates and B-factors from the model of lysozyme structure from Gallus gallus (PDB ID 5k7o (de la Cruz et al., 2017)) with additional 762 water molecules to fill the whole unit cell volume. The LSDB program (Volkov et al., 2004) was used to automatically assign the UBDB2018 atom type parameters (Kumar et al., 2019) to all atoms. DiSCaMB library, available at http://4xeden.uw.edu.pl/software/ (Chodkiewicz et al., 2018), was used to calculate the structure factors for X-ray diffraction for the TAAM with UBDB2018 parameters at given resolution and then to convert them to the structure factors for electron diffraction using the Mott-Bethe formula. The 3D Fourier maps of electrostatic potential (eTAAM) were generated using the WinXD2016 package (Volkov et al., 2016) XDFOUR module at resolutions 1 Å and 4 Å, and with voxel size 0.3 Å. The maps were generated with the thermal smearing effects, using the same set of B-factors at both resolutions. The 3D Fourier maps deposited here were trimmed with a 3 Å margin around the protein and were not scaled. The structure factors file features seven columns. The first three columns correspond to the reflection indices up to 1 Å resolution. Next, there are two sets of Fourier coefficients. The first two coefficients correspond to the real and imaginary parts of the TAAM structure factors, respectively. Additionally, we provide the second set of coefficients that correspond to the real and imaginary parts of the IAM structure factors. The structure factors files make it possible to generate the 3D Fourier maps of electrostatic potential and electron density calculated with TAAM or IAM, with or without taking into account the thermal smearing effects (denoted as with B or without B, respectively) at any given resolution worse than or equal to 1 Å.References:Kulik, M., Chodkiewicz, M.     This dataset contains the numerical simulation data presented in the manuscript titled: &#34;Bifurcations and synchronization of coupled translational-rotational stick-slip oscillators&#34;.The research investigates the complex bifurcation and synchronization phenomena in stick-slip oscillators. The study proposes a closed-loop model that uniquely combines a smooth, finite-area contact friction formulation with the dynamics of a non-ideal energy source (a DC motor). This framework captures the mutual influence between the distributed frictional forces on the oscillators and the limited power supplied by the motor.     Characterization of colloidal and cytotoxic properties of Nb2CTx MXene stabilized with macromolecules

    This database contains raw data from a comprehensive study focused on the stabilization and biological evaluation of Nb₂CTₓ MXene through a tandem surface modification strategy. The dataset includes physicochemical characterization of the parental MAX phase and synthesized Nb₂CTₓ MXene, as well as detailed analyses of surface modifications using L-ascorbic acid (LA) combined with polyethylene glycol (PEG), poly-L-lysine (PLL), and polydopamine (PDA). Characterization covers morphology, structure, elemental composition, surface chemistry, zeta potential behavior, and colloidal stability in biological media (PBS and DMEM) over time. Additionally, the dataset contains biocompatibility assessments performed on skin cell lines (A375, HaCaT) across a range of MXene concentrations (0–100 mg L⁻¹), demonstrating the maintenance of non-cytotoxic behavior. Comparative stability data highlight the synergistic role of dual-modification systems, with LA/PEG and LA/PDA combinations exhibiting the most stable profiles. Characterization_of_MAX_and_MXene.zip: This dataset provides comprehensive characterization data for MAX and MXene, a two-dimensional transition metal carbide investigated for its stability, biocompatibility, and potential use in biomedical applications. Multiple analytical techniques were employed to examine both the morphology and structural features of the synthesized MXene and to compare it with the parental MAX phase. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) delivers detailed surface images, revealing the layered morphology characteristic of delaminated MXene structures. This dataset is valuable for researchers focusing on MXene synthesis, surface stabilization, nanostructure characterization, and biomedical nanomaterial development, offering a robust foundation for further experimental and application-oriented studies.2. Raman_spectroscopy_measurements_for_Nb₂CTₓ_MXene-based_composites.zip: This dataset contains Raman spectroscopy measurements used to evaluate structural features and surface chemistry modifications of Nb₂CTₓ MXene and its stabilized composite forms. Results_of_cytotoxicity_studies.zip: This dataset contains quantitative results from cytotoxicity evaluations of Nb₂CTₓ MXene and its stabilized forms on two skin-related cell lines: A375 (human malignant melanoma) and HaCaT (human keratinocytes). The measurements represent cell viability readouts (absorbance intensity) collected in four independent replicates for each tested sample and concentration. The dataset includes results for: pristine Nb₂CTₓ MXene, Nb₂CTₓ MXene &#43; L-ascorbic acid &#43; Polyethylene glycol, Nb₂CTₓ MXene &#43; L-ascorbic acid &#43; Polydopamine.
