Tribological and surface analysis data for nitrogen-ion-implanted Inconel 718
No full textThe dataset contains experimental results from tribological investigations and surface layer studies of Inconel 718 subjected to nitrogen ion implantation. The data represent primary measurement outputs obtained during laboratory experiments.The purpose of sharing the dataset is to provide access to experimental results enabling analysis of the influence of nitrogen ion implantation on friction behaviour, wear, and surface layer characteristics. The dataset includes data from friction tests, wear track profilometry, and GXRD and SEM-EDS measurements, without interpretation or aggregation.Zbiór danych zawiera wyniki eksperymentalne badań tribologicznych oraz analiz warstwy wierzchniej stopu Inconel 718 poddanego implantacji jonów azotu. Dane stanowią pierwotne rezultaty pomiarów uzyskane w trakcie laboratoryjnych eksperymentów badawczych.Celem udostępnienia zbioru danych jest zapewnienie dostępu do wyników eksperymentalnych umożliwiających analizę wpływu implantacji jonów azotu na przebieg tarcia, zużycie oraz właściwości warstwy wierzchniej materiału. Zbiór obejmuje dane z testów tarcia, profilometrycznych pomiarów śladów zużycia, a także wyników badań GXRD oraz SEM-EDS, udostępnione w postaci nieprzetworzonej, bez interpretacji i agregacji.</p
Manganese Deficiency and Mn2O3 Nanoparticles Supplementation Disrupt Bone Remodeling and Mineral Matrix Maturation in Rats
No full textThis study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary manganese deficiency and compare the impact of manganese macroparticles (MnCO3) and nanoparticles (Mn2O3NPs) on bone remodeling and metabolism. Twenty-seven male Wistar rats were divided into three groups (n = 9): control (standard MnCO3, 65 mg Mn/kg), manganese-deficient, and Mn2O3NPs-supplemented (65 mg Mn/kg). After a 12-week feeding period, bone-related markers and gene expression were analyzed in the femur and blood. Mn-deficient rats showed reduced plasma levels of bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BALP), tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase 5b (TRAP5b), interferon-β (IFN-β), RANKL glycoprotein, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25-(OH)2D3), vitamin K2, and collagen turnover markers (PINP, CTX-1, NTX). Femur levels of BALP, TRAP5b, interferon-γ (IFN-γ), osteonectin, calcitonin, PICP, PINP, and CTX-1 were also decreased. Replacing MnCO3 with Mn2O3NPs increased IFN-γ but lowered IFN-β and 1,25-(OH)2D3 levels in plasma. This treatment also decreased the femur level of BALP and calcitonin, and the RANKL:OPG ratio, while increasing the expression level of Sp7 and Ctsk genes. To conclude, our results suggest that manganese deficiency is associated with suppressed bone turnover and altered mineral metabolism. Furthermore, replacing MnCO3 with Mn2O3 nanoparticles did not yield the anticipated benefits for bone remodeling, as evidenced by the observed imbalances in osteogenic and resorptive markers, indicating a need for cautious evaluation of nanoparticle-based supplementation.</p

In vitro activity of the most frequently used antifungal substances against fungi of the genus Malassezia and determination of the type of interaction between them and substances showing antifungal potential

Adsorbents for mixed-mode extraction of antisense oligonucleotides from cerebrospinal fluid samples
No full textData have been deposited on the development of mixed-mode dispersive solid phase extraction for therapeutic, modified oligonucleotides. Five silica-based adsorbents functionalized with aminopropyl, aliphatic, aromatic, and dicarboxylic groups were prepared and thoroughly characterized. A novel mixed-mode dispersive solid-phase extraction method was established using a central composite experimental design, allowing systematic investigation of the parameters influencing antisense oligonucleotide desorption. The performance of the method was evaluated using oligonucleotides that differed in length and chemical modifications. The developed approach was successfully applied to the extraction of antisense oligonucleotides from cerebrospinal fluid, providing consistent recoveries ranging from 40% to 93%. Matrix effects were minimal. The best recoveries were achieved for oligonucleotides modified at two structural sites.</p

Detection and prevalence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) – raw data
No full textThe aim of the scientific activity was to apply sensitive molecular biology methods for the detection and quantification of Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) genetic material in biological samples obtained from patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Raw data generated within the project have been deposited, including:(i) raw data obtained using droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) for quantitative detection of EBV DNA and RNA in samples from lymphoma patients, targeting the BamHI-W fragment of the EBV genome, with simultaneous detection of the human reference gene RPP30. The dataset also includes ddPCR results for the detection of viral mRNA transcripts of EBER1, LMP1, and EBNA2, analyzed together with the human reference gene GAPDH. The deposited data comprise output data generated by the ddPCR platform;(ii) microscopic images documentation of the detection of viral EBER1/2 transcripts in tumor tissue from patients with DLBCL and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), obtained using in situ hybridization (EBER-ISH). The dataset contains raw microscopy PNG images;(iii) visualization of amplified fragments of the EBV EBNA2 and LMP1 genes obtained by automated capillary electrophoresis using the QIAxcel system in samples from lymphoma patients. The deposited files include graphical outputs (PNG images) showing the separation of PCR products and their corresponding amplicon sizes;(iv) raw chromatograms (AB1 files) from Sanger DNA sequencing of PCR amplification products of the EBV EBNA2 and LMP1 genes in samples from lymphoma patients. The chromatogram files can be opened and analyzed using, for example, free Chromas software version 2.6.6, available from the Technelysium website.This study was fully funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (grant no. 2024/08/X/NZ7/01767).The attached files contain the raw data used for the analyses.</p

The files contain the images of microstructures, chemical analysis of elements distribution and SAED patterns.This data is presented in the form of .jpg/.png/.bmp files readable with popular computer programs like IrfanView.</p

Jednostki te są przechowywane w Archiwum Instytutu Polskiego i Muzeum im. gen. Sikorskiego w Londynie oraz w Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie. Dane zostały pozyskane w wyniku kwerendy przeprowadzonej w obu archiwach w związku z działaniem naukowym „Postępowania w sprawach karnych przed organami Ministerstwa Sprawiedliwości Rządu RP na uchodźstwie (1940-1945)” realizowanym w ramach konkursu MINIATURA 8.</p
