Calorimetric data of liquid Cu-Mg-Ti alloys

No full text
Since limited information is available in the literature regarding the thermodynamic properties of the Cu-Mg-Ti system, this work aims to determine the mixing enthalpy change for several liquid alloys from this system. To achieve the intended purpose, the methods used were divided into two phases. The first covered the high-temperature calorimetric measurement of enthalpy of mixing performed at 1123 K – 1402 K for liquid solutions in six measurement series (A-F).The obtained calorimetric results for the integral molar mixing enthalpy change show a negative deviation from ideal solutions over the entire concentration measurement range. The presented results enhance the existing knowledge concerning thermodynamic properties of the Cu-Mg-Ti system. The provided data set contains the results of the experimental part of the article, included in Appendix A of the article:• .txt files with column headers Index Time (h) Furnace Temperature (°C) Sample Temperature (°C) Heat Flow (µV) contain calorimetric data of the mixing enthalpy change measurement for liquid Cu-Mg-Ti alloys. This work is supported by the National Science Centre, Poland, for funding project no. 2021/43/O/ST8/01291 entitled “Thermodynamic properties and structure of Cu-Mg-Ti and Ag-Mg-Ti alloys and their potential to interact with hydrogen” in the years 2022–2027. </p

Metaboliczna stłuszczeniowa choroba wątroby u dzieci i młodzieży z otyłością olbrzymią

No full text
U młodzieży z otyłością olbrzymią i poważnymi chorobami współistniejącymi chirurgia bariatryczna stanowi skuteczną opcję terapeutyczną z trwałymi efektami metabolicznymi.Celem prac była przegląd aktualnych dowodów (2019–2025) i przełomowych badań dotyczących diagnostyki i leczenia MAFLD u dzieci, uwzględniając współczesne wytyczne i przyszłe kierunki oraz ocena częstości występowania MAFLD u polskich dzieci i młodzieży z otyłością olbrzymią i ocena jej związku z antropometrycznymi i metabolicznymi czynnikami ryzyka. Pacjenci i metody: U 212 dzieci i młodzieży z otyłością olbrzymią (w wieku 3–18 lat) przeprowadzono badanie fizykalne, skład ciała metodą bioimpedancji, badanie ultrasonograficzne wątroby (USG) i ocenę biochemiczną. Wyniki: MAFLD stwierdzono u 125 (59,0%) chorych. Zespół metaboliczny (MetS) rozpoznano u 57,5% chorych bez MAFLD i u 66,5% chorych z MAFLD (p > 0,05). Nieprawidłowa glikemia na czczo, nieprawidłowa tolerancja glukozy i wysoki wskaźnik HOMA-IR występowały częściej u pacjentów z MAFLD niż u pacjentów bez MAFLD (p < 0,05). W grupie MAFLD zaobserwowano większą liczbę pacjentów z ≥4 składowymi MetS niż w grupie bez MAFLD (33,6% vs. 12,6%, p = 0,0004). Wnioski: Częstość występowania MAFLD wśród dzieci i młodzieży z otyłością olbrzymią wynosiła 59%.
