Influence of geometrical imperfection on stability of cold-formed C-beams with modified a flange

No full text
The dataset consists of files generated within numerical analyses concerning the stability of thin-walled channel-section structures with modified cross-sections, including the influence of geometric imperfections. The data include both input and output files for finite element analyses and allow for comparison between ideal models and real geometries. The dataset contains the following file formats:.docx – documentation of the applied methods and description of the data (“manuscript_Jas_Paw_AP_14112025”),.igs – geometry files of real thin-walled elements obtained through 3D scanning (e.g. B_01.igs, B0.igs, B3_1.igs, B5.igs, B13.igs, B15.igs),.png – visualizations of numerical analysis results, presenting deformation and buckling modes for ideal models (“model”) and scanned geometries (“scan”).Tools and methodology - the data were generated using ANSYS (commercial, closed-source software) for finite element analyses and result visualization, 3D CAD software for preparation of ideal models, and a 3D scanner for acquisition of real geometries. The workflow included scanning of elements, saving geometry in IGS format, preparation of ideal models, execution of numerical analyses, and generation of graphical output files. The .igs files constitute the input geometry for the numerical analyses, while the .png files present the corresponding results. File naming conventions (e.g. b0, b3, b5) identify specific geometric variants, and the terms “model”, “scan”, and “buckling” refer to the ideal model, real geometry, and stability analysis, respectively. The geometry files provided in the .igs format can be opened and used with both commercial and open-source software supporting this standard. Examples of open-source tools capable of handling IGES files include FreeCAD and Open Cascade–based applications. This enables access to and reuse of the geometry data without the need for proprietary software.</p

Calorimetric data of the silver-titanium system

No full text
Due to the experimental difficulties caused, among other factors, by the significant difference in melting points of the components, most of the information on the thermodynamic properties available in the literature has been obtained through computer methods. Therefore, the main goal of this work is to expand the current knowledge about the experimentally determined thermodynamic properties of selected alloys from the Ag-Ti system. Based on the calorimetric results obtained in this study, along with relevant thermodynamic data from the literature, the Ag-Ti phase diagram was reoptimized. The dataset provided includes the results of the experimental study presented in the article and a set of thermodynamic parameters obtained:1. The TXT files with column headers Index, Time (h), Furnace Temperature (°C), Sample Temperature (°C), and Heat Flow (µV) contain calorimetric data from two types of high-temperature drop calorimetry measurements.Files Tab_4_Seria_A_mixing_enthalpy.txt and Tab_5_Seria_B_mixing_enthalpy.txt include data on the enthalpy of mixing for liquid Ag–Ti alloys within the concentration range xTi = 0.02–0.226.Files Tab_6_No_1_formation_enthalpy.txt, Tab_6_No_2_formation_enthalpy.txt, Tab_6_No_3_formation_enthalpy.txt, and Tab_6_No_3A_formation_enthalpy.txt contain results for the enthalpy of formation of the AgTi intermetallic phase determined by the direct synthesis method.2. The Fig_2_DSC_measurement.txt file, with the headers Temp./C, Time/min, DSC/(mW/mg), Sensit./(uV/mW), contains the calorimetric data from the differential scanning calorimetry measurements for the Ag0.43Ti0.57 alloy after annealing.3. The Fig_3_XRD_after_direct_synthesis.xy file contains the XRD diffraction pattern of the alloy obtained during the first high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry measurement.4. Files: Fig_1_a_SEM_Ag0.43Ti0.57.tiff; Fig_7_a_SEM_Ag.tiffFig_7_b_SEM_TiH2.tiff are SEM images of the materials used for the material preparation (Ag and TiH2) and the obtained alloy after annealing. 5. The Tab_8_thermodynamic_properties.odt file contains the thermodynamic parameters obtained and used for the phase diagram calculations. This work is supported by the National Science Centre, Poland, for funding project no. 2021/43/O/ST8/01291 entitled “Thermodynamic properties and structure of Cu-Mg-Ti and Ag-Mg-Ti alloys and their potential to interact with hydrogen” in the years 2022–2027. </p

Corrosion behavior of titanium anodized in DES solvents: electrochemical study combined with ellipsometric investigations

No full text
Dataset contains raw measurement files collected during:1) dc polarization measurements,2) electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and3) spectroscopic ellipsometryof technically pure titanium samples with oxide layers formed during anodizing process at 10 V in 1s - 20 min at 60 oC using DES liquid composed of choline dihydrogencitrate and oxalic acid. The study concerns determining the influence of the time of formation of the oxide layer (1s - 20 min) at a constant potential on its barrier and optical properties. The kinetics of growth of anodic layers on titanium and their corrosion resistance in a 0.05 M NaCl solution environment were investigated. Finally, an attempt was made to correlate the results obtained by both methods and ultimately create a model of the layers reflecting their morphology.Details about file naming, related sample materials, experimental conditions, software for data processing, are described in the "readme.txt" file. For electrochemical measurements, the Notepad application is sufficient to access the ASCII data which allow to plot the graphs. Moreover, for electrochemical measurements, detailed measurement parameters and hardware details are available in each .DTA file. They can also be read directly from .DTA files using the notepad application or another simple text editor.</p

The dataset contains three-dimensional, whole-brain density maps of neurons expressing the calcium-binding protein Calbindin (CB+) of three individuals (F, 3 years, 5 months, 309.5 g; F, 3 years, 7 months, 20 days, 441 g; M, 3 years 7 months, 21 days, 343 g) of the Common Marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) monkey. For each hemisphere, every fifth section covering the entire brain was processed with diaminobenzidine (DAB) immunohistochemistry using a monoclonal antibody (AB_10000347). Stained sections were scanned using an Aperio Scanscope AT Turbo (Leica Biosystems) at ×20 magnification. Subsequently, the density maps were computed using a combination of automated cell identification, three-dimensional reconstruction, and cytoarchitecture-aware registration. The results are provided as Neuroimaging Informatics Technology Initiative (NIfTI) datasets, spreadsheets, and Python scripts and datasets to reproduce the deep learning model for automated cell identification.</p
