Two Generalizations of Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem
Get PDFThe following fixed point theorems are given: (1) If X is a Hausdorff and compact space and g : X ? X is a one one continuous function, then g has a fixed point. (2) If X is a compact, Hausdorff and second countable space and f : X ? X is a contraction mapping, then f has a fixed point. Two proofs of Theorem 1 are given, one using sequences and the other using ultrafilters. These theorems generalize the Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem
Comprehensive Health and Subjectivities of Schoolchildren on the Consumption of Psychotropics and Psychosocial Variables in a Context
Get PDFExploratory-descriptive research with a mixed approach. The techniques were used semi-structured and focus groups. Selection of a sample, N=75 Colombian students object study from grades 6 to 11, affected by violence during 2017 and 2018. The multivariate statistical analysis of the data applied Pearson\u27s Chi squared (Chi2P), P <0, 05 by cut groups, according to the psychosocial variables of communication, functioning and family vulnerability, depression, and suicide.The relevant results indicate a negative communication relationship in the family nucleus (44.4%), poor reading practice (30%) and daily study (34.7%), among others; and, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, marijuana, methamphetamine and poor mental health.
This study reveals little understanding of the social realities impact that limit to forge integral permanent human development. This towards the transformation of a more humanistic progressive society that achieve challenges, such as:
1) Build and develop together other public policies that conceive psycho-didactic constructs from young age, and the schoolchildren understand the impact multidimensional of a critical problem of global public health.
2) Innovate the psycho-educational process to expand skills and abilities to young people that allow them to decide and prevent the consumption of psychotropics with more awareness.

Assesment of Rice Farming Challenges During the Pandemic Period in Ikwo, Ebonyi State
Get PDFCrop production is a vital element of agriculture in Nigeria. Climate change alters climate variables, but climate variability affects crop yield directly by influencing crop growth and development. Rice production is important in ameliorate the climate by removing methane from the atmosphere. Farmers in Ebonyi are becoming more involved in rice cultivation operations, which help to moderate climate conditions. Data on important climate variable were assed from FMARD, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Development report 2020 to validate the impact of rainfall onset and cessation on moderation of climate impact. The resulting impact relating to rainfall such as flood or dry spell in the study area with in the period of 2019 and 2020 farming season. This season, coincided with the period of COVID 19 with manyconstraints both natural,human or pandemic in ducedon the rice production were assessed with a comprehensive questionnaire. A total of 104 rice producers(28 Processors,76farmers) were sampled randomly in 3 communities in Ikwo. Majority of respondents attributed the high cost of rice in 2019/2020 farming period to challenges other than COVID 19 related causes(68 percent). Using appropriate statistical tools, response from the farmers were analyzed while climate data(rainfall) from the FMARD reports was used to compare resulting effect of flood or dry spell(1percent) in 2019 and 2020 respectively. The study were guided with 4 clear objectives as followsi)characteristics of the Ikwo rice farmers.ii)Developing a frame work COVID 19,rainfall related impacts(flood/dry spell) and rice production challenges.iii)finding out the perceived impact of COVID 19 to rice farming in 2019/2020 farming seas oniv)find out if flood and dry spell recorded are related to onset/cessation of rain in the studied period.
Major problems in the study area were identified as inadequate provision of funds/capital(79 percent),inadequate input provision(67percent)are forces leading to high cost of rice produced within the study period. Finally, corresponding recommendations of best management practices on how to tackle the outlined challenges in situations such as the pandemic alteration period in the future were made. Emphasis on relevance of Ebony iState,women as the major available labor force in rice farm clearing glaringly noted could be encouraged with adequate funds, imput, extension services and basic climate information especially in situation such as the pandemic era in 2019.Also this study highlighted labour shortage was overcomed due to increasing women participation within the period (79 percent) Ikwo women are crucial to improving agricultural productivity and food security in the state. There fore, wome nfarmers empowerment in this agricultural community is highly recommended to boost rice output in the community and the State at large

In Turkish history, as of July 9, 2018, the parliamentary system was abolished and the presidential system was officially put into practice. On May 14, 2023, parliamentary elections and presidential elections will be held in Türkiye. In this year\u27s elections, which take place every five years, the thirteenth president and the twenty-eighth term deputies will be announced. The presidential candidates are Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Muharrem İnce and Sinan Oğan. These elections in Türkiye do not only have an impact within the country but also attract the attention of other countries because of the country\u27s geographic location and its international relations with other part of the world. The purpose of this paper is to understand the meaning and importance of the 2023 elections in Türkiye in the international dimension and to examine the political significance of the elections in foreign countries in an unbiased manner
The Fourth Revolution and the Needed Reinvention of Library Business

Methods: The study was characterized as descriptive and used literature review, bibliographic and documentary analysis as methods.
Results: It presents an overview of the fourth revolution, promoted by digital technologies, and its impact on the world of work. It observes that, given the increasing ease of access to the internet, libraries are sharing their space as a provider of information sources and verifies the persistence of the librarian\u27s technical profile. It discusses the disconnect between higher education and the current and potential demands of the contemporary librarian\u27s job market in Brazil.
Conclusions: It is recommended to rethink teaching in undergraduate librarianship and to promote continued learning so that librarians develop and update informational and technological skills

The aspect of right to the truth is of paramount importance in terms of International human rights and International criminal justice. It is evident that human suffering in the shape of atrocities like war, genocide, and other conflicts against humanity are real and happening. These circumstances implicate immense psychological and emotional distress on the victim. It is here that the need to know the truth arises, so that the victim gets an opportunity to come across reality. It also helps in divulging the truth and it facilitates the judicial process in the end and helps to achieve the transitional justice that is vouched. There are several vital forums namely international human right courts, truth commissions, and international criminal courts that are in existence for the protection of rights to life and prohibition of torture against victim in furtherance of transnational justice. Moreover, it is evident that right to the truth in general parlance arises in situations wherein a particular state fails to deal with atrocities using their own civil and criminal procedures.
It is here that the matter attracts concerns and invokes jurisdiction of international entities. Through this research manuscript, an attempt is made to understand and analyse the role of aspect of right to the truth in the development of victim jurisprudence. Another aspect of the manuscript contributes, suggests, and hits the core of the international debate on the right of a victim to the truth. Ultimately, it attempts to ring the bell at the right time and is an appropriate read for the enthusiasts of International Criminal law and those who have zeal to acknowledge the realities of a victim
Motivational Factors of Sports Betting and the Preponderance of Problem Gambling Severity among University Students: A Pragmatic Evidence
Get PDFGambling over the past centuries has evolved in terms of its expansion and form. Sports betting as one of the forms or components of gambling has grown globally over the years in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. As a result, there is a reason to expect that gambling among university student may be more preponderant today than in previous years. Thus, the study explores the motivational factors towards sport betting and its widespread of problem gambling severity among university students. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. A fair representative sample size of 351 was determined through the Krejcie and Morgan minimum sample size determinant. Means, standard deviations, frequency counts, percentages were used in the analysis of the data. The study found that money was the leading motivational factor for university students’ sports gamblers. Thus, the study recommends the setting up of a ‘Gaming Research Unit’ in partnership with the Students’ Support Office (StuFSO) under the auspices of the university, to generate levies from gambling centres sited on and around the university’s campuses to help finance bursaries for average but needy students of the university who may be engaging in sport betting
A Descriptive Study Recording and Analyzing the First Language (Arabic) Interference Impact on Arab Learners who Study English as a Second Language (ESL) During Question Formation
Get PDFIn all hoopla, native language (NL) interference significantly plays an important role in second language disfluency and loss. The current research explores the first language (Arabic) interference impact on Arab students studying English as a second language (ESL) during question structuring. Committed errors categories were noted and analyzed at different linguistic levels. The researcher used a translation test that included ten interrogative sentences to be translated from Arabic into English to determine the learners’ conducted errors during question formation. The questionnaire consisted of five questions for Arab teachers who teach English as a second language to gain more insight. Participants were randomly selected and included twelve teachers and sixty higher education students who are attending a private college (Medical Lab, Business Management, and Academic writing skills Departments) (N=72, HES=60, LT=12) in the United Arab Emirates. The results showed the deep and severe impact of Arabic as a first language on Arab learners during question formation English in all areas of grammar knowledge
Mo Fire than Smoke: Liberating the Politics and Development of Cannabis in South Africa
Get PDFThis article tells a story about cannabis that illuminates two dimensions of its development that are often overlooked for a truly liberating development plan post legalization for the majority of people in South Africa. Firstly, by its nature cannabis is political and has a black revolutionary history that is not being adequately acknowledged in the contemporary literature, even though it is deeply embedded in how the plant is understood in the geographic diaspora of the Global South. Secondly, any serious social scientific analysis of contemporary cannabis development must think through how the ways of knowing and work, produced during prohibition, will become a part of the plant’s future. Innovative and alternative models of practical development are agencies of the marginalized majority that should become a standard part of the geographies of all work economies. The article shows that because prohibition narratives, particularly regarding recreational usage, continue to hold substantial power over how societies understand cannabis, delinking from these inscriptions onto the plant is essential for its future development. The article argues further that the current trend towards the medicalization of cannabis is not fully transformative for Global South development because it reforms rather than stamp out gatekeeping models. Lastly, it exposes the realities of gaining access into the industry for black people, the poor working class and women. It argues that ownership, just employment and leadership of cannabis industries in South Africa must also be performed by ordinary people for a truly sustainable contemporary development
