It grapples with the evolving definition of global health in the 21st century. Emphasizing the shift from the disease-centric approaches to holistic well-being. Rooted in the principles laid by pioneers like William Farr and Rudolf Virchow. Global health now prioritizes evidence-based decision-making, population-centric focus, social justice, and preventive care.
This narrative will help to distinguish global health from public health and international health, highlighting its transnational focus on disparities and cross-border issues. The discourse extends to the interconnected determinants of health, encompassing genetics, access to services, and governmental interventions. This paper will underscore the collaborative effort required from various global actors, including UN agencies, foundations, and NGOs.
Delving into humanitarian response, this study elucidates the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence that guide modern humanitarian work. Historical cases, such as the Rwandan genocide, underscore the necessity of standardized humanitarian practices exemplified by the Sphere Handbook. The analysis traces the professionalization of humanitarian assistance post-Goma; emphasizing the importance of anticipatory planning and coordination.
Finally, this article explores the link between health and broader societal aspects, exemplified by the recent global response to COVID-19. It concludes with a call for continued recognition, application, and research in humanitarian response, guided by leading physicians dedicated to alleviating global suffering within the realm of a robust and interconnected global health framework
Politicization of Religion as a Socio-Political Phenomenon
The process of politicization of religious ideology characterizes intensive attempts to integrate religiously interpreted forms of socio-political activity into theological concepts and theories. An expanded search for points of possible application of theology in the field of social activity and politics is also considered. This social religious phenomenon found expression in the emergence of a number of unique interfaith theologies that have become a fact of modern religious life
Gender and Identity in Post-Colonial English Novels: A Comparative Study
This study examines the intricate interplay of gender and identity within the framework of post-colonial English novels, exploring how these narratives reconstruct and challenge colonial power structures. By analyzing selected texts from diverse post-colonial contexts, the paper reveals the multifaceted ways in which gender roles and personal identities are renegotiated in the aftermath of colonial rule. The analysis emphasizes the intersectionality of race, class, and culture, shedding light on how these factors shape the protagonists\u27 identities and their resistance to patriarchal and imperialist norms. Employing a comparative approach, the study draws parallels between novels from Africa, South Asia, and the Caribbean, showcasing the universal yet context-specific struggles of post-colonial identities. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the socio-political undercurrents of post-colonial literature and its enduring relevance in contemporary debates on identity politics and gender equity
Influences of Information Sources on Undergraduate Student\u27s Knowledge of Drug Abuse
The influences of various information sources on undergraduate students\u27 knowledge of drug abuse encompass a broad spectrum of factors including familial dynamics, peer interactions, media exposure, education and community programme, and healthcare interventions. Understanding these influences is critical as they collectively shape the perceptions and awareness of drug abuse among students. Despite the diversity of these sources, empirical studies specifically exploring their impacts on undergraduate students\u27 understanding of drug abuse are limited. This study aims to fill this gap by examining how different information sources contribute to undergraduate students\u27 knowledge of drug abuse. Through qualitative methods involving semi-structured interviews with a sample of ten participants, thematic analysis was employed to elucidate the findings. The research reveals a notable preference among students to rely on Internet sources for information on drug abuse due to their accessibility and anonymity. However, the study underscores the importance of integrating diverse information sources comprehensively to provide a more nuanced understanding of drug abuse beyond what internet-based platforms offer. This approach is essential for equipping undergraduate students with the knowledge and insights necessary to make informed decisions and contribute to effective drug abuse prevention strategies

Reliability of the Bond Graph Approach for Robust Diagnosis of a Newborn Incubator System
This article aims to solve a problem of research with a thermal system (incubator) to the graph of pseudo-connections. The method we develop is based on the determination of the resolution on the model ARR-BGM (Analytical Redundant Relationships Bond Graph). These relationships serve to detect and isolate faults in the various elements of the system, but also to locate the industrial system. We introduced defects in the heat source, leaks in the incubators and a leak in the incubator door; these defects were transferred by thermal transfer to negative values. The results of simulation, the effectiveness of proposed method to detect and locate defects, in addition, to analyze the robustness of the Incubator to defects, we imported the graphical link model as linear fractional transformations (BG-LFT). This makes it possible to verify the reliability of the approach of the link graphs in terms of sensitivity and detectability of defects that may appear in an industrial system
Achieving Path Reversal in OTN By Control Plane Programmability
SDN paradigm has been successfully used in IP networks to bring agility and programmability. Applying SDN to OTN (Optical Transport Networks) has some challenges due to circuit switched nature and physical characteristics of OTN. If SDN and OTN can be modified to adapt to each other, there are immense benefits that can be derived from this combination. This paper presents an innovative design by modifying components in OTN and incorporating SDN concepts along-with it. This design encompasses key SDN concepts such as control plane and data-plane separation, central view of network domain for decision making and software-based programmability. This design uniquely implements the flow-reversal in Optical Ring by programmability that its control plane offers. In traditional OTN, it is not only time consuming but also complex process to obtain this type of flow reversal as it requires hardware configurations. The design presented here manages to rapidly configure the flow using its centralized control-plane programmatically. The design was implemented and thoroughly tested using simulator tool OptiSystem. The design is generic and does not depend on any specific vendor component. The design is flexible and can co-exist in end-to-end network setup. This design aims to help fellow researchers in their research work related to SDON (Software Defined Optical Network) and can be used as-is or with suitable modifications. This paper is organized into logical sections, starting with Introduction section that gives background and problem description. The next section is Literature Review which covers review of relevant studies and gaps. Then Methodology section briefly covers research methodology used, how results are collected and stored etc. The Design section depicts the solution by explaining high-level design approach, reasons behind design choices and the detailed design. The Result section denotes the observed outcome and confirms that it matches with expected results. Finally, conclusion section summarizes key points, findings, contribution and future scope

An Overview on India Electricity Market
Indias electricity generation started based on technologies available in XIX century on coal. Strating with XX century oil and natural gases were introduced as new sources for energy production being mainly used for transport and industry. Like in other countries the energy sector was heavily regulated and under state control until last decade of XX th century. The actors of the market like electricity production plan, transmission and distribution networks, gas, oil and coal extraction industry were mainly state -owned. Strating with 1991 Indian federal government launch important reforms on economic sector in order to increase the importance of market economy, these reforms affecting also the energy sector. The Electricity Law issued in 1991 and lately amended was the first step for cease state monopoly on power generation allowing also the other companies state or private to step into this sector and to start generation without special license. Still at that time the state maintains its monopoly on transmission and distribution networks. The reforms continued and new Electricity Act adopted in 2003 enlarge the energy sector reforms allowing private investments also in transport and distribution networks having the final scope a better protection of the clients through competition. Present century due the global commitment of reducing GHG and CO2 emission determinate India to follow the general orientation through renewable energies
