Evolution of Female Leadership: Invisible Barriers and Simulations of Equality
This study is part of the research project �Female Leadership and Its Organizational Barriers to Its Development� which contributes to sustainable development goal number five, gender equality. In this case, three variables are addressed: misogyny, glass ceilings and tokenism, social phenomena, and stereotypes that female leadership has experienced. The objective is to analyze the evolution or transformation of the barriers, walls, and simulations (tokenism) that women experience and that limit their leadership development, as well as how female leaders have overcome them as barriers to their leadership.
In this case, the evolution in the last four decades of how misogyny, glass ceilings and now tokenism are manifested is analyzed. The research is carried out from a qualitative approach, as part of the field research, the technique of two "focus groups" was used with profiles of female leaders who have overcome.
The study reflects how female leadership development continues to be limited in its growth and development by various factors and stereotypes, as well as tokenism practices at all levels of women\u27s work performance. In this case, the case studies are presented in high-level positions and the aforementioned inequality phenomena occur
Tree Richness and Carbon Storage in Developing a Tropical Evergreen Forest after Slash-And-Burn in the Lacandon Region
The objectives were to quantify tree richness and estimate carbon stored during the recovery and development of tropical evergreen forest (BTP) affected by the traditional slash and burn (RTQ) system practiced by the Lacandon-Mayan ethnic group. This research was carried out in the Lacandona region of Mexico. The aim was to determine whether the RTQ system maintains tree species richness and whether stored C is recovered.
Methods. Dismantled areas were located with the RTQ system from 5, 10, and 20 years ago (BTR5, BTR10, and BTR20, respectively). To obtain tree richness, botanical collections of all tree species present in 0.1 ha plots of BTR5, BTR10, and BTR25, as well as two BTP plots (BTP1 and BTP2, respectively) were carried out. In each plot, height, diameter at breast height, and number of individuals of each tree species were recorded. To estimate the stored C, the equation proposed by Chave et al., (2005) was used, which relates the DAP and the density of the wood of each species.
Results. A tree richness of 71 species was obtained in 0.1 ha. In BTP1, 47 species were recorded and in BTP2, 38 species were recorded. The number of species increased (20, 17, and 39 species) according to the recovery age of the BTR (5, 10, and 20 years respectively), so the rest period is adequate for the recovery of tree richness. The accumulation of C in the trees showed that the RTQ system must modify the recovery or rotation age since the carbon stored at 5, 10, and 20 years was 29, 35, and 74 Mg C ha-1 respectively, while in BTP1 and BTP2 they were 478 and 512 Mg C ha-1 respectively. The polynomial model obtained indicates rest periods between 40 and 50 years to recover the C stored in the mature BTP
Bolivia: Architecture and Rituality, Implications of the Miniatures of Buildings in the Alasita Festivity
The research focuses on the relationship between architecture and rituality in the Andean world, specifically in the cities of La Paz and El Alto in Bolivia, where the popular area of Aymara roots celebrates the Alasita festival characterized by the presence of miniatures that exemplify aspirationality and desires for abundance.
The buildings represented in the miniatures transcend from objects to subjects, thus they are also consolidated into references, into architectural heritage, through which social recognition is achieved for some contemporary buildings. This recognition does not necessarily correlate with the architecture promoted by state governments and Bolivian academia.
Through Alasita, the majority population makes known its horizon, its aspirations, its view of the possible city of the future, its autonomous imaginary of modernity incorporated into its cultural core

Beyond Open Doors and Performative Allyship: A Subaltern Autoethnographic Account on ‘White’ Allyship in the Post-2020 BLM Protests Era
The COVID-19 Pandemic brought to light the racial inequities in the United Kingdom through its disproportionate impact on racialised minority communities. The murder of George Floyd in the hands of people who should have been protecting him reinvigorated the Black Lives Matter (BLM) social movement in the United States of America (USA). Inspired by social media reports and engagements, BLM messages were appropriated and adopted in many countries�across the world, including the United Kingdom (UK). The BLM protests in the UK, on the one hand, highlighted the racial inequalities in the UK and reminded the public of the UK\u27s colonial history.�
It is not surprising that the BLM protests led corporate entities, foundations and even churches in the UK to commission inquiries to explore their history and potential connections to colonialism, slavery, and indentured labour. Many would later issue statements and commit to investing in initiatives to address racial inequalities. These institutions stated that they were shifting from standing against racism to becoming antiracist. In effect, they were committing to becoming allies in promoting racial equity and addressing the structural challenges standing in the way of racial equity. Allyship is not a new concept; literature has covered allyship polarities ranging from performative to authentic/substantive allyships.
The paper is informed by The Open University\u27s Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership\u27s research on collaboration and engagement between the leadership of racialised minority networks and service providers in promoting racial equity. The research is complemented by my lived experience as a racialised minority leader engaged in social and political practices geared towards addressing racial inequities. This autoethnographic paper seeks to explore whether, four years after George Floyd\u27s murder, approaches to allyship have changed to embody the commitment to antiracist practices on the one hand and a move away from tokenism and promote emancipatory allyship
Human Resource Management (HRM) and Cameroon Civilisation : Case of Customs Administration (CCA)
The aim� of our study is to identify and apprehend deeply the concept of civilization in Cameroon in order to determine the� link in between civilization and human resource in Cameroon public Service. This will enable to understand how civilization and phenomena such as tribalism, nepotism, favouritism are linked. It will also be question to explore nepotism�and favouritism as causes of ineffective system of accountability and ineffective HRM management in the Cameroon Customs. At the end of our scrutiny we shall formulate possible recommendations�concerning the link between civilization and HRM in the CCA. Our study presents three main interest respectively an academic interest, a professional interest and finaly a socio-political interest. Our study falling in the domains of ethnography and mangement, three main methods were employed which� are�participant observation, interviews, and archival research in order to collect reliable data for our research. The study confirms that in specific sensitive public service such as customs, tribalism�and hate speech seem to be rising and it kills competence. �Corruption practices,�nepotism�and�favoritism, as well as�tribalism, have grown to levels previously unknown. It is therefore recommended among others to multiply and effectively implement recommandations from studies on Cameroonian culture with regards to political, administrative and socio economic impact�; carry out an analysis of cultural identities in the CCA�: this implies a chart on the ethnical representations in the said administration in order to identify demographic and strategic data for HRM policy and put in place a cultural HRM policy to efficiently use the various civilizational resources�. Also, it would be relevant valueing the strenghts of different cultures to put in place mechanisms to tackle the identified weaknesses. The innovation here is that �it proposes a cultural map and ethnical analysis of an organization in order to understand the strenghts and weaknesses of each culture so as to put it at the service of the general interest
Carpian Tunnel Bibliographic Review on its Composition
The literature review of the present study demonstrated that the Carpal tunnel is composed of a complex architecture that is still difficult to understand in its entirety. Through the analysis of preferred articles from the last five years, we concluded that the qualification and quantification of their content is very variable and the nervous variations present are on a weighted average of 3.07% and may be associated with the presence of a persistent median artery. Tendons vary in prevalence in tunnels evaluated at a weighted average of 4.57%. This is extremely important in the surgical planning of this region, aiming at its integral composition and possible variations
