Background Isolated rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is characterized by loss of the normal atonia of REM sleep accompanied by repetitive motor and behavior phenomena of dream content. Objective To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the original form of the Innsbruck Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder Diagnostic Inventory (IRBD-9) scale (IRBD-9-TR) and ensure that this screening test can be easily used in the Turkish language. Methods The present is a multicenter and prospective study involving 184 patients: 51 with iRBD and 133 healthy controls. The iRBD patients were not diagnosed before submitted to video polysomnography (vPSG) and filling out the IRBD-9-TR. Results The optimal cut-off value for the IRBD-9-TR symptom score was of 0.28, with a sensitivity of 0.941 and a specificity of 0.947, and 94.4% of the patients were correctly diagnosed. The rotated factor loadings for the diagnostic accuracy of each individual question showed that the short version of the IRBD-9-TR (questions 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8) presented higher specificity and excellent discrimination of iRBD patients from healthy controls. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the symptom section of the IRBD-9-TR was of 0.857, and the Kappa coefficient, of 0.885. Conclusion The short version of the IRBD-9-TR presents good validity and reliability to be used as a screening test to assess iRBD patients. It is convenient and potentially useful in both outpatient clinical and epidemiologic research settings

In order to achieve the goals and objectives, organizational memory occurs as a result of organizations’ processing information as continuously. The aim of this study identifies the factors that nourish and prevent organizational memory that has developed in organizations. Knowledge management and transformational and transactional leadership have been dealt with as nourishing factors organizational constraints and organizational conflict as preventing factors. The aimed model was tested with structural equation model by using pre-developed, valid, and reliable scales. The population of the research consists of employees who are working in education, manufacturing and health sectors that companies operate in Hatay. The data were collected by using the questionnaire technique. According to analyses, the results revealed that organizational conflict did not affect the organizational memory whereas knowledge management, leadership and organizational constraints positively affected the organizational memory. Among control variables, only age was found to affect organizational memory negatively. ıt was found that knowledge management had the greatest impact on organizational memory in the health sector where as Interactional leadership had the greatest impact in the education sector. Transformational leadership, on the other hand, had the greatest impact in manufacturing sector.</p

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the changes in maxillary sinus volume (MSV), sphenoid sinus volume (SSV), and pterygopalatine fossa volume (PPFV) in different skeletal malocclusions using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Methods: CBCT images of 600 patients (318 females and 282 males) aged between 18 and 73 years (mean: 31.3 ± 12.9 years) were evaluated. Firstly, all patients were divided into classes according to their skeletal malocclusion. A threshold range between –1024 HU and −526 HU was applied for making paranasal sinuses. In all sections in all three planes, it was checked that MS, SS, and PPF were separated from other anatomical landmarks and the airway. Results: All MSV, SSV, and PPFV values were found to be significantly higher in males than in females (p > 0.05). MSV was statistically significantly higher in Class III malocclusion than in Class I and II malocclusion (p 0.05). No statistically significant correlation was found between SSV and skeletal malocclusion classes (p > 0.05). PPFV had the highest value in Class I malocclusion, followed by Class III and Class II, and there was a statistically significant difference between them (p < 0.05). Conclusion: MSV, SSV, and PPFV have been observed to show significant changes depending on sexual dimorphism; MSV in Class III skeletal malocclusion, and PPFV in Class I skeletal malocclusion. Knowing the dimensions of the anatomy and anatomical structures specific to the individual before surgical interventions in these regions will also reduce the risk of complications
