Application of multicollector mass spectrometry and laser ablation in the study of magnesium isotopes fractionation phenomenon during transport through an ion-selective membrane

No full text
The presented results contain raw data of magnesium and calcium quantification in the studied solutions using Indiko Analyzer and NexION 300D mass-spectrometer as well as results of isotope ratio analysis obtained using Nu Plasma II mas-spectrometer.The collected samples were analyzed using a discrete analyzer Indiko Plus Clinical Chemistry Analyzer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Vantaa, Finland). Calcium and magnesium concentrations were determined spectrophotometrically according to the procedure described in the ISO/TS 15923-2:2017 Water quality – Determination of selected parameters by discrete analysis systems – Part 2: Chromium(VI), fluoride, total alkalinity, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, iron, iron(II), manganese and aluminium with photometric detection. The isotope ratios of Mg were measured using MC-ICP-MS in a dry mode with ion chromatograph applied for sample introduction. A sample aliquot was introduced to the ion chromatograph (Dionex ICS-5000+, Thermo Scientific, Dreieich, Germany) equipped with inorganic cation exchange column IonPackC16 (3 × 250 mm, 5 µm) and a guard column IonPack CG16 (3 × 50 mm). The column eluent was passed through the self-regenerating suppressor (CDRS 600, 2 mm), a conductivity detector and then was carried through to a six-port valve to the desolvation nebulizer. By changing the position of the valve, only the column fraction corresponding to Mg elution (retention time between 7.0 and 9.5 min) was directed to the plasma. The bracketing solution of Mg (DSM3) was pumped toward desolvation nebulizer unit before and after the chromatographic peak of Mg at the same flow rate. Aridus II desolvation nebulizer (CETAC Technologies, Omaha, NE, USA) was applied. Plasma II (Nu Instruments, Wrexham, UK) multi collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer was used for isotope ratio analysis. A transient signal of Mg eluted from the column (retention time around 7.8 min) was registered and the total peak area was integrated. Magnesium isotope fractionation in the analyzed samples was calculated as a delta-value.</p

Data used to plot the figures presented in the paper "Navier-Stokes equations for nearly integrable quantum gases", Phys. Rev. Letters 134, 010405 (2025), arXiv:2404.14292.The dataset contains values of viscosity (zeta) and thermal conductivity (kappa) for systems at different temperatures T and unit (n=1) density. Viscosity and thermal conductivity have two contributions: one from the collision integral and denoted 'coll' and one due to the GHD diffusion and denoted 'diff'.For example, file 'kappa_diff_T_10_n_1.tab' contains contribution to the thermal conductivity from the GHD diffusion for system at temperature T=10 and density n=1.The data in each file is organised into two columns: first represents the value of the interaction parameter c, second the value of the contribution. All files are in a text-format.The procedure to obtain the data is explained in the related publication.</p

No full text
The data refer to a study of teachers’ preferences regarding working conditions that affect job satisfaction using the Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) methodology, according to which respondents make choices in hypothetical situations. The data contain the results of a survey conducted among teachers in the city of Kutno, in addition to variables defining choices, also variables regarding socio-demographic characteristics are included. Variables and their type are defined in the Codebook file. This is a unique study for Poland using DCE to study teachers’ preferences. The study shows significant heterogeneity in teachers’ tastes regarding working conditions. In addition to income, teachers value other elements that can compensate for their relatively low salaries, potentially reducing the burden on state budgets compared to wage increases.</p

Searching for displaced vertices at a future e+e− Higgs factory

No full text
Dataset contains data related to the study of the prospects for long-lived particle (LLPs) observation with the International Large Detector (ILD), operating at the International Linear Collider (ILC) at the collision energy of 250 GeV. Neutral LLP production, resulting in a displaced vertex signature inside the ILD’s time projection chamber (TPC), is considered for two experimentally challenging scenarios: the first involving very soft final states due to a small mass splitting between a heavy LLP and the dark matter particle to which it decays, and the second with production of a light and therefore highly boosted LLP resulting in almost colinear vertex tracks. Results were described in the publication "Searching for displaced vertices with a gaseous tracker for a future e+e− Higgs factory" published in Journal of High Energy Physics, JHEP02(2025)112.This research was part of the project "Realistic simulations of exotic processes at future e+e- colliders" funded by National Science Centre, Poland, under grant agreement nr 2021/43/B/ST2/01778.MethodologyThe study was based on large Monte Carlo event samples generated within the ILD collaboration for the Standard Model processes and dedicated samples for considered "new physics" processes generated by authors. All samples resulted from the physics process simulation with the WHIZARD framework, followed by full simulation of the ILD detector response in DD4HEP, based on GEANT4 package, and event reconstruction based on iLCSoft, tools provided by the LCC generator working group and the ILD software working group. Sample production was based on computing services provided by the ILC Virtual Organization, supported by the national resource providers of the EGI Federation and the Open Science GRID. Standard Model samples had to be reprocessed with the updated track reconstruction.Event sample files used for the analysis are stored on GRID.Software tools usedWHIZARD Event Generator web page: https://whizard.hepforge.org/DD4hep - Detector Description Toolkit for High Energy Physics: https://dd4hep.web.cern.ch/dd4hep/List of Monte Carlo event samples produced by the ILD collaboration: https://ild.ngt.ndu.ac.jp/elog/dbd-prod/iLCSsoft - linear collider software repository: https://github.com/iLCSoftModified reconstruction algorithm: https://github.com/jfklama/MarlinUtil/tree/HelixClassFixFiles storedCSV files with final analysis results: expected limits on the LLPs production cross section, for the two considered benchmarks and two selection cut levels, as a function of the decay length,PDF and PNG files of the figures showing these limits (Fig. 9 from the paper).</ul

Phylogeography of Anthriscus sylvestris s.l.

No full text
Molecular data matrices and resulting phylogenetic trees for species of Anthriscus Pers. and outgroup Kozlovia Lipsky. Data matrices contain nucleotide sequences of (1) nuclear Internal Transcribed Spacer (nrITS), (2) nuclear single-copy waxy gene, and (3) three plastid intergenic spacers: rpoB-trnC, trnS-trnG, and psbA-trnH. The resulting phylogenetic trees were obtained using the Maximum Likelihood principle implemented in RAxML and Bayesian Inference utilising MrBayes (topological inference) and BEAST (molecular dating). ML trees are provided with bootstrap support for internal nodes, whereas Bayesian trees have an estimate of a posterior probability for each clade. Trees obtained with MrBayes were summarized as 50% majority rule consensus trees and those obtained in BEAST as Maximum Clade Credibility Trees with median heights for internal nodes.Note: clusters of identical sequences were identified in the matrices, and single representatives were kept before calculating the phylogenetic trees. Thus, the trees contain less OTU than listed in the matrices.</p
