No full textAineisto sisältää Suomen tieteellisten kirjastojen tilastotietoja vuodelta 2009 kansanvälisten kirjastotilastostandardien mukaisesti. Se kattaa tietoja ja tunnuslukuja kirjastojen tiloista, toimipisteistä, kokoelmista, palveluista, hankinnoista, käytöstä, käyttäjistä, aukioloajoista, taloudesta ja henkilökunnasta. Aineistoa on kerätty kansalliskirjastosta, yliopistokirjastoista, ammattikorkeakoulukirjastoista sekä muutamasta erikoiskirjastosta. Kerääjäorganisaatiot on eritelty datatiedostoissa: daF3632_1-tiedostossa on yliopistokirjastojen ja daF3632_2-tiedostossa muiden tieteellisten kirjastojen tietoja. Tilastotietojen koonnissa organisaatiot ovat soveltaneet seuraavia standardeja: ISO 2789 (International library statistics), ISO 11620 (Library performance indicators), ISO TR 28118 (Performance indicators for national libraries) ja ISO TR20983 (Performance indicators for electronic library services). The dataset covers data and indicators on library premises, branches, collections, services, acquisitions, use, users, opening hours, finances, and staff. The statistical data have been collected from the National Library of Finland, university libraries, university of applied sciences libraries, and a few specialised libraries. The collecting organisations are specified in the data files: the file daF3632_1 contains data on university libraries and the file daF3632_2 contains data on other scientific libraries. The collecting organisations compiled the statistical data in accordance with the following standards: ISO 2789 (International library statistics), ISO 11620 (Library performance indicators), ISO TR 28118 (Performance indicators for national libraries), and ISO TR20983 (Performance indicators for electronic library services). No full textKansalaispulssi selvittää suomalaisten mielipiteitä ajankohtaisista aiheista, viranomaisten toiminnasta sekä vastaajan mielialasta ja huolenaiheista. Aineisto sisältää kysymyksiä koronasta, Venäjän hyökkäyksestä Ukrainaan, energian säästämisestä ja Suomen ulkopolitiikasta. Tämän kierroksen kyselyssä kartoitettiin, kuinka tyytyväisiä vastaajat ovat demokratian toimivuuteen Suomessa ja kuinka paljon he luottavat toisiin ihmisiin sekä eri instituutioihin. Edelleen kysyttiin vastaajan mielialasta, luottamuksesta tulevaisuuteen sekä koetusta stressistä ja turvallisuudesta. Vastaajia pyydettiin myös arvioimaan suomalaisten kriisimielialaa tällä hetkellä. Venäjän hyökkäykseen Ukrainaan liittyen kysyttiin, huolestuttavatko kriisin vaikutukset Suomen talouteen sekä Suomen ja Euroopan turvallisuuteen tai sodan mahdollinen laajeneminen. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin näkemyksiä talouspakotteiden hyväksyttävyydestä ja kulutustottumusten muutoksista. Energiansäästöstä tiedusteltiin, onko vastaaja tehnyt energiansäästötoimia, kuten lyhentänyt suihkuaikaa, alentanut lämpötiloja tai vähentänyt sähkölaitteiden käyttöä, viimeksi kuluneen kuukauden aikana. Koronaepidemiaan liittyen kartoitettiin, kuinka paljon sen vaikutukset aiheuttavat huolta nyt. Kysyttiin myös suojautumisen tarpeellisuudesta ja kuinka hyvin vastaaja on noudattanut koronaviruksen leviämistä ehkäiseviä suosituksia. Lopuksi kysyttiin kevään 2023 eduskuntavaaleissa äänestämisestä ja vastaajan näkemyksiä kansainvälisistä asioista ja Suomen ulkopolitiikasta. Taustamuuttujina olivat vastauskieli, vastaajan sukupuoli, ikäryhmä, maakunta, koulutus sekä tietoja kotitalouden rakenteesta, taloudellisesta tilanteesta, asumismuodosta ja asunnon lämmitysmuodosta.The Citizens' Pulse surveys examine Finnish attitudes and opinions in the context of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Main themes in the surveys include the activity and communication of authorities, compliance with regulations, future expectations, trust, and the respondents' own state of mind. This collection round also included questions on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, energy conservation, Finnish foreign policy, and the 2023 parliamentary election in Finland. The second collection round of 2023 surveyed the respondents' trust in other people and various institutions (e.g. the Finnish Government, the health care system, the media, and the Finnish Defence Forces). The respondents' trust in other people and their satisfaction with the functioning of democracy in Finland were also charted. The respondents' state of mind was examined with questions on various matters relating to health, well-being, and their situation in life. The questions covered, for example, the respondents' own mental well-being, whether they were worried about the adequacy of their income, their confidence in their future, and experiences of stress. Additionally, the respondents were asked to evaluate whether an atmosphere of crisis prevailed amongst Finns. The next set of questions focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The respondents were asked how concerned they were about the crisis in Ukraine and its effects and whether they were concerned that the war might expand beyond Ukraine. Opinions on the economic sanctions imposed on Russia by the EU, whether Finland should be ready to receive significant numbers of refugees from Ukraine if necessary, and whether the uncertainty caused by the Ukraine crisis had impacted the respondents' consumer behaviour were charted. On the topic of energy conservation, the respondents were asked how concerned they were about the changes in energy prices, whether they felt they had enough information about ways to conserve energy in their everyday lives, whether they believed that by taking energy-saving measures they could make a difference in the availability of energy during the coming months, and whether the increased price of electricity had caused financial difficulties for their household. Additionally, the measures the respondents had taken to lower their energy consumption during the past month (e.g. lowered the room temperature at home, driven less, reduced the use of electronic appliances at home, taken shorter showers) were surveyed. Concern over the coronavirus pandemic and its effects were charted. Compliance with coronavirus restrictions was examined by asking the respondents whether in the past week they had followed the restrictions and recommendations set by authorities for preventing transmission of the virus, including maintaining safe distances, wearing a face mask, and minimising contact with other people. The respondents were also asked how necessary they felt it was to follow measures such as wearing a mask and maintaining safe distances after receiving two or three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Voting intentions in the 2023 parliamentary election in Finland were surveyed by asking the respondents whether they intended to vote in the election, whether they intended to vote during the early voting period or on election day, and whether they felt that by voting they could have an impact on matters that were important to them and the people close to them. Interest in Finnish foreign policy and international relations were also surveyed with questions on whether the respondents' interest in Finnish foreign policy and international relations had changed over the past 12 months. Views on the current state of Finland's foreign policy and international relations were charted, and the respondents were asked about the ways in which they felt they could have an impact on Finland's foreign policy and international relations (e.g. voting in parliamentary elections, protesting, participating in party politics). Additionally, the impact that Finland's application to become a member state of NATO had had on the respondents' sense of safety was investigated. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, NUTS3 region of residence, highest level of education, household composition, perceived financial situation of household, type of accommodation, and type of domestic heating system

No full textAineisto koostuu Suomen evankelis-luterilaisesta ja ortodoksisesta kirkosta eroakirkosta.fi -palvelun kautta vuonna 2022 eronneiden henkilöiden mainitsemista eroamissyistä. Eroakirkosta.fi-palvelussa voi eroilmoituksen jättämisen jälkeen vapaaehtoisesti kertoa myös eroamisen syyn. Eroamisen syytä kysytään lomakkeessa sen jälkeen, kun eroamisilmoitus on jo lähetetty. Eroamissyyt ovat pääosin suomenkielisiä. Taustatietona on mainittu ikä ja sukupuoli sekä eroamiskuukausi. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla aineistoa on helppo selata.The online eroakirkosta.fi service, maintained by two Finnish associations, allows people to resign from church by filling in an online form. After filling in the form, people are given an opportunity to explain their reasons for resigning in free-text format. This dataset consists of the reasons entered by 797 people when quitting the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland or the Finnish Orthodox Church in 2022. The dataset is part of the annually supplemented data series which examines the reasons for leaving church submitted by a sample of approximately 1,000 people on the eroakirkosta.fi online service each year. Background information includes age, gender and month of leaving church. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in the languages used for entering the information (mainly Finnish)

No full textAineisto käsittelee ja kartoittaa tieteellisten seurojen toimintaa Suomessa. Aineisto kerättiin osana Tieteellisten seurain valtuuskunnan (TSV) ja Tampereen yliopiston projektia, jossa tarkoituksena oli selvittää tieteellisten seurojen toimintaa ja edistää tieteellisten seurojen näkyvyyttä. Ensiksi vastaajilta kysyttiin taustatietoja, kuten seuran edustamaa tieteenalaa, seuran toiminta-aluetta, toiminnan tavoitteita ja seuran ydintehtäviä. Sen jälkeen tiedusteltiin, minkä takia seura on Tieteellisten seurain valtuuskunnan jäsen. Kyselyllä selvitettiin seuran taloutta ja organisoitumista, esimerkiksi oliko seuralla palkallisia työntekijöitä vuonna 2018. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin seuran jäsenyydestä muun muassa, keistä seuran jäsenistö koostuu ja mitä jäsenetuja seura tarjoaa. Seuran julkaisutoiminnasta, seminaari- ja konferenssitoiminnasta sekä seuran tutkimustoiminnasta kysyttiin myös. Näiden jälkeen kysyttiin yhteiskunnallisesta vaikuttamisesta ja tiedeviestinnästä sekä avoimeen tieteeseen liittyvästä vaikuttamistyöstä. Sitten kysyttiin, pitääkö seura yhteyttä muihin suomalaisiin tieteellisiin seuroihin ja miten seura toteutti yhteydenpitoa niihin. Lopuksi kysyttiin, onko seuran tarkoitus käynnistää uusia toimintamuotoja. Aineisto ei sisällä taustatietoja vastaajista.The survey charted the activities of learned societies in Finland. The data were collected as part of a joint project by the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies and Tampere University, which aimed to investigate the activities of learned societies and make them more widely known. First, some background information was collected on the learned societies. The respondents were asked which field of science the society represented, in which area of Finland the society operated, whether the society operated internationally, what the primary aim of the society was, and why the society was a member of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies. Next, the survey charted the society's finances, such as the annual budget, changes in the budget in the past five years, and the most important sources of income for the society. The organisation and staff of the society were surveyed with questions on, for example, how the society was organised (e.g. departments or working groups), whether the society had salaried employees, and how large a share of the society's tasks were carried out without a salary or compensation. The respondents were also asked about the society's membership composition (e.g. individuals, organisations, or both), membership fee, member benefits, and recruitment of new members. The publishing activity of the society was examined next with questions on how many peer-reviewed and other journals, book series, and monographs the society had published in 2018. The languages of the publications were also charted, and the respondents were asked if there had been any changes in the society's publishing activity in the past five years. The society's seminar and conference activity as well as research activity were surveyed with questions focusing on the number of organised seminars and conferences and the types of research activities the society engaged in. Finally, the respondents were asked about the society's social influence and science communication, the promotion of open science by the society, collaborations with other organisations, and the future of the society. No background information was collected on the respondents

University of Texas at Austin Student Survey on the Campus Carry Gun Legislation 2019
No full textAineisto selvittää Texasin yliopiston Austinin opiskelijoiden näkemyksiä Texasissa 1.8.2016 voimaan tulleesta käsiaselaista ("Campus Carry", SB-11). Aineisto on kerätty osana Suomen Akatemian kulttuurin ja yhteiskunnan tutkimuksen toimikunnan rahoittamaa Turvallisuuden tähden - Texasin käsiaselain sukupuolipolitiikka -projektia. Aluksi vastaajilta kysyttiin mielipiteitä liittyen käsiaselakiin ja oikeuksiin kantaa piilotettua käsiasetta yliopistokampuksella. Tiedusteltiin, miten vastaajat suhtautuivat käsiaseiden tuomiseen kampusalueelle, ja lisäsikö vai vähensinkö oikeus tuoda käsiaseita kampukselle turvallisuuden tunnetta. Lisäksi kysyttiin, uskoivatko vastaajat käsiaselain vaikuttavan väkivallan määrään tai naisten turvallisuuteen ja pitäisikö kampusalueen turvallisuudesta huolehtiminen jättää ammattilaisten vastuulle. Seuraavaksi vastaajilta kysyttiin, kuinka usein ja avoimesti opiskelijayhteisössä käsiaselaista puhuttiin. Kiinnostuneita oltiin, kokivatko vastaajat aktivismin vaikuttaneen heidän mielipiteisiinsä liittyen käsiaselakiin, ja olivatko vastaajat itse osallistuneet aktivismiin. Kysymykset käsittelivät myös yleisemmällä tasolla kampusalueen turvallisuutta. Lopuksi vastaajilta tiedusteltiin, mistä syystä he mahdollisesti omistivat ampuma-aseita ja oliko heidän kotonaan lapsuudessa ollut ampuma-aseita. Lisäksi pyydettiin näkemyksiä liittyen muihin yhteiskunnallisiin aiheisiin. Taustamuuttujina aineistossa ovat ikäryhmä, tiedekunta, poliittinen kanta, uskonto, Texasissa asuttujen vuosien määrä, etnisyys, sukupuoli ja sosioekonominen tausta.The survey charted the views of students of the University of Texas at Austin on the Campus Carry Gun Legislation (SB-11), which came into force on 1 August 2018. The data were collected as part of the 'Gendered Gun Politics of "Campus Carry"' research project, funded by the Academy of Finland's Research Council for Culture and Society. First, the respondents were asked to share their opinions on the Campus Carry law and the right to carry concealed handguns on college campuses. Further questions examined whether the respondents thought faculty or students should be able to bring concealed handguns to class, whether they felt safe with students carrying concealed handguns in class, and whether they thought the presence of concealed handguns affected the atmosphere of the classroom. The respondents' opinions were also charted on, for example, whether the Campus Carry law could be overturned by activism, whether the law affected the likelihood of gun violence and other violent crime on campus, and whether the job of defending campuses should be left to professionals. Next, various statements regarding self-defence, Second Amendment rights, and training for gun safety in the context of the Campus Carry law were presented to the respondents. The effects of the law on daily life on campus were surveyed with questions on, for example, whether the respondents had ever noticed anyone carrying a concealed handgun on campus, whether the law had affected their daily manoeuvring on campus, and how openly they could share their opinions on Campus Carry. Participation in and opinions on activism around Campus Carry were also examined. Views on campus safety in general were charted next, and the respondents were asked what characteristics they thought affected vulnerability to violence on campus the most (e.g. age, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability). Questions also examined whether the respondents had been victims of violent crime on- or off-campus. Finally, the respondents were asked whether they were members of the NRA or owned firearms, and if yes, why they owned firearms (e.g. hunting, hobby, self-protection). The respondents' carrying habits were charted, and they were asked whether there had been any firearms in their childhood home. Opinions on various topics, such as the death penalty, legal abortion, and gender-neutral bathrooms were also surveyed. Background variables included the respondent's age group, department of study, political affiliation, religion, number of years lived in Texas, ethnicity/race, gender, and socioeconomic status

Future of Youth Work 2030: Group Interviews 2020
No full textAineisto koostuu viidestä fokusryhmähaastattelusta, joiden painopisteenä on tulevaisuuden nuorisotyö ja sen tarpeet. Aineisto on osa Tulevaisuuden nuorisotyön tekijät, paikat ja ympäristöt -tutkimushanketta ja se on toteutettu Humanistisessa ammattikorkeakoulussa. Hanketta on rahoittanut opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö. Keskustelun runkona toimivat tietyt kysymykset ja teemat. Fokusryhmähaastatteluissa selvitettiin muun muassa, mitä nuorisotyön osaaminen on nyt ja mitä se on vuonna 2030, millaisia muutoksia nuorisotoimialalla on tapahtunut ja millaiset yhteiskunnalliset muutokset ovat nuorisotyön kannalta merkittäviä. Haastatteluissa keskusteltiin myös digitaalisesta nuorisotyöstä, koulunuorisotyöstä, moniammatillisesta yhteistyöstä sekä yleisesti nuorisoalan koulutuksista ja työelämästä. Lisäksi haastatteluissa pohdittiin, miten koronaviruspandemia on vaikuttanut nuorisotyössä tarvittavaan osaamiseen ja ylipäänsä tulevaisuuteen. Aineisto kerättiin nuorisotyöntekijöiltä ja nuorisoalan ammattilaisilta. Aineisto ei sisällä taustatietoja haastateltavista. Tämän kvalitatiivisen aineiston lisäksi hankkeessa kerättiin Tietoarkistoon arkistoitu kvantitatiivinen kyselyaineisto FSD3519 Nuorisotyön tulevaisuus ja osaamistarpeet 2020: kysely 2020.The dataset consists of five focus group interviews on the future of youth work and the needs of the field. The data are part of the research project Tulevaisuuden nuorisotyön tekijät, paikat ja ympäristöt ("Workers, Places and Environments in the Future of Youth Work)" which was conducted by HUMAK University of Applied Sciences. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The interviews were framed around set questions and themes. The focus group interviews explored issues such as what youth work competences are now and what they will be in 2030, what changes have taken place in the field, and what societal changes are relevant for youth work. The interviews also discussed digital youth work, youth work at schools, multi-professional cooperation, training in the field, and working life in general. Additionally, the interviews examined how the coronavirus pandemic has affected the skills needed for youth work and the future in general. The data were collected from youth workers and other professionals in the youth work field. The data do not include background information on the interviewees. No full textTutkimuksessa kartoitettiin, kuinka työvoimapalvelut kolmella eri TE-alueella edistivät osa-aikaisen ja tilapäisen työn vastaanottamista ja osittain työttömien kokoaikaista työllistymistä. Tämä aineisto koostuu työnhakijoiden näkemyksistä työllisyydestä ja työvoimapalveluista. Hankkeesta on arkistoitu myös kaksi muuta aineistoa: FSD3687 TE-palvelujärjestelmän toiminta: työnantajakysely 2021 ja FSD3688 TE-palvelujärjestelmän toiminta: asiantuntijatyöntekijöiden kysely 2021. Kyselyssä selvitetään, millaisia työllistymistä tukevia palveluita vastaaja on käyttänyt, sekä onko hänelle tehty työtarjouksia osa-aikaisesta tai tilapäisestä työstä. Edelleen kysytään, millaiset esteet haastoivat työn hakemista ja vastaanottamista sekä millaisia mahdollisuuksia epätyypillisiin työsuhteisiin nähtiin liittyvän. Kyselyssä on myös kokoaikatyön hakemiseen ja vastaanottamiseen liittyviä kysymyksiä. Vastaajien näkemyksiä selvitetään myös työttömyysturvan ja palkan yhteensovittamiseen liittyen, muun muassa kysytään, onko tulorekisteri muuttanut halukkuutta ottaa vastaan tilapäistä työtä. Viimeiseksi vastaajilta pyydetään ehdotuksia siihen, kuinka siirtymää kokoaikatyöhön voitaisiin tukea paremmin. Kysely sisältää useita avokysymyksiä. Taustamuuttujina ovat ikäryhmä, TE-alue, koulutustaso, sukupuoli, äidinkieli ja työttömyyttä edeltänyt ammatti.The survey charted Finnish job seekers' views on public employment and business services in three regions of Finland. The survey was conducted as part of a research project examining how public employment and business services made a difference in finding part-time or full-time employment. FSD holdings contain two related datasets: FSD3687 Public Employment and Business Services in Finland: Survey for Employers 2021 and FSD3688 Public Employment and Business Services in Finland: Survey for Experts in TE Offices and Local Government 2021. First, the respondents were asked which employment and business services they had used during unemployment or when looking for a job, and whether they had received any job offers from the TE Office for part-time or temporary work. Part-time or temporary work not offered by the TE Office that the respondents had done between job seeking periods was also surveyed. Further questions examined whether the respondents had received adjusted unemployment benefit when working part-time or temporarily and whether they had continued searching for a job while in part-time or temporary work. The respondents were asked whether they had received help from the employment and business services with finding full-time employment while being employed part-time, or whether their employer had offered them more working hours or a full-time employment contract. Questions also surveyed whether the respondents knew about or had used the incomes register. Background variables included the respondent's age group, TE Office region, level of education, gender, mother tongue, and occupation before unemployment
