incels.is forum dataset
For legal reasons, the study data (data_incels_gesis.zip) are no longer available as of 30.01.2024 until further notice.
The dataset consists of all publicly visible posts and the data that comes with each post of the online-forum incels.is during the first week of November 2022.
The forum is the current (2022) largest communication platform within the incel community.
Incels (involuntary celibates) are of interest to researchers through several offline and online violence cases. Violence against themselves is also an accepted act within the community.
This dataset is a large-scale collection of digital behavioral data that allows researchers to investigate questions surrounding, e.g. incels, hate-speech, communication in online forums, the emergence of acts of terrorism, and suicide prevention.
The dataset was used for a Master's Thesis and is the basis for upcoming publications.

Invasion@Ukraine
We publish a dataset of raw tweets collected via the Twitter Streaming API in the context of the onset of the war, which Russia started in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. In total,
we gathered 8.7 million original tweets between February 17 and March 3, 2022, produced by 2.3 million individual user accounts.
We collected the data using Twitter's streaming API (represents 1% of the total traffic on Twitter) and filtered for all English Tweets containing at least one of the hashtags #ukraine, #russia, and #conflict. In addition, the data has been annotated with availability tags, resulting from rehydration attempts at two points in time: directly after data acquisition and shortly before manuscript submission. This may provide information on Twitter moderation policies. We share only the Tweet IDs with the corresponding availability information in this repository. We publish a dataset of raw tweets collected via the Twitter Streaming API in the context of the onset of the war, which Russia started in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Replication files: Binding Contracts, Non-Binding Promises and Social Feedback in the Intertemporal Common-Pool Resource Game
In the intertemporal common-pool resource game, non-cooperative behavior produces externalities reducing subjects’ payoffs in both the present and the future. In this paper, we investigate through two experiments whether binding contracts, non-binding promises and social feedback help to promote sustainable behavior. We find that cooperation is higher in groups where a contract can be signed or where subjects made a promise to cooperate throughout the experiment. However, not all groups sign the contract unanimously and subjects who made a promise adjust their cooperation downwards over time. We find no difference between the control condition without any regulation and the treatment condition in which subjects receive feedback on their past behavior in private. However, if received feedback can be learned by all group members, cooperation is significantly higher. Our findings show that non-binding promises and social feedback increase cooperation, but the former only in the short-run and the latter only if made public. In the intertemporal common-pool resource game, non-cooperative behavior produces externalities reducing subjects’ payoffs in both the present and the future.
World Vision Kinderstudie, Kinder in Deutschland und Ghana
English version below:

This 5th World Vision Children's Study focuses on how children deal with religious diversity as a current social challenge that characterises the two countries studied, Ghana and Germany, with large Christian and Muslim faith communities as well as various smaller religious groups. While Ghana can already look back on a long history of interreligious coexistence, experiences with religious diversity in Germany are mostly a generational issue. A second focus of the study is on questions about the pandemic experience (worries and fears, assistance with family care work) and the educational experiences (school closures, homeschooling) of children during the coronavirus crisis from the beginning of 2020.English version below:
