This article explores impersonal sentence constructions in English through the lens of cognitive linguistics. Traditional syntactic perspectives often treat impersonal sentences as syntactic anomalies or exceptions. In our article, a new innovative pedagogical technology used in teaching students a foreign language (English) based on a cultural approach is provided. Its teaching priorities and shortcomings are described. It is very effective to use the cultural approach within the framework of the “flipped classroom” pedagogical technology. Intensive Methods For Developing Design Skills In The Professional Activities Of Engineering Students
The article provides a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the role of engineering and computer graphics in the professional training system of engineering students, as well as the mechanisms for developing graphic design skills. Nowadays, the advancement of engineering demands extensive application of newgeneration technical equipment, devices, and modern digital technologies. Accordingly, the theoretical and practical aspects of forming 2D and 3D design skills related to industry-specific equipment, products, and parts among engineering students are thoroughly examined in this research. The author systematically analyses existing challenges in the educational process, including students’ difficulties in applying theoretical knowledge in practice, insufficiently developed software application skills, and ineffective use of pedagogical methods during teaching. To address these issues, the author proposes the implementation of modern pedagogical technologies, engaging students in small-group project-based and practical assignments, and systematically organizing practical classes using specialized computer graphics software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Compass 3D). Furthermore, the scientific and practical importance of extensively employing interactive methods that enhance students' independent work and critical thinking skills—such as Project-Based Learning, trainings, and intensive practical sessions—is substantiated. Additionally, the article outlines specific criteria developed to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and approaches, demonstrating their potential to improve students’ professional competencies, design speed, and quality. Stylistic And Pragmatic Study Of Litotes In English And Uzbek Languages
Teaching and learning a foreign language becoming vitally important, since knowing the language is knowing people. With this reason, many scholars and researchers are trying to investigate some similarities and differences between languages. The purpose of this article is to study litotes in both English and Uzbek languages. Litotes is a linguistic device that involves the use of negation to express an idea in a double negative or understatement. This study aims to analyze the use of litotes in English and Uzbek languages from linguapragmatic and linguological perspectives. Moreover, this article analyzes the use of litotes in both languages, examining its functions and subtypes. The findings suggest that while there are similarities between the two languages, there are also significant differences in how litotes is used and perceived. In order to reveal unities and diversities, some methods such as observation and comparison are utilized. Linguistically, the study found that litotes operates differently in each language. In English, litotes often involves the use of double negatives to express an affirmation, while in Uzbek, however, litotes often involves understatement without double negatives. Some example given in this article is taken from literature, prose and poetry to identify it
