Get PDFThis contribution focuses on a linguistic study of Michel Tremblay’s novel Victoire! (2020), with the aim
of highlighting the devices used by this Quebec writer to represent different levels of orality. After briefly
recalling the characteristics of Tremblay’s writing and the thematic interest of the linguistic question in
this novel, I will structure my analysis according to the typologies of fictional representation of orality defined by Catherine Rouayrenc (2010), namely “oralité normée”, “courante” et “marquee”. After reviewing
the characteristics of each level, I will examine the linguistic features used by Tremblay. The conclusion
will attempt to show how the author succeeds in recreating an authentic portrait of the linguistic situation of Quebec

Get PDFQuesto contributo accosta il trattato ottocentesco di Giuseppe Compagnoni Dell’arte della parola a quello seicentesco di Giovanni Bonifacio L’Arte de’ cenni. Pur muovendo da contesti e da premesse teoriche differenti, i due trattati sono accomunati da un intento educativo e, soprattutto, dalla volontà di istituzionalizzare un’arte rispettivamente della parola e dei movimenti eloquenti del corpo (i cenni). Entrambi gli autori delineano un metodo preciso, a cui corrisponde un altrettanto preciso impianto testuale, che prevede come primo passo la collocazione della parola e dei cenni in un orizzonte semiotico. Parola e cenni, pertanto, sono da intendere nel quadro più ampio delle risorse comunicative verbali e non verbali a cui l’individuo ricorre per una predisposizione naturale alla multimodalità.This paper compares Giuseppe Compagnoni’s nineteenth-century treatise Dell'arte della parola with Giovanni Bonifacio’s seventeenth-century treatise L’Arte de’ cenni. Although starting from different contexts and theoretical premises, the two treatises are united by an educational intent and, above all, by the desire to institutionalize an art respectively of the word and of the eloquent movements of the body (the body signs). Both authors outline a precise method, which corresponds to an equally precise textual structure, which in volves as a first step the placement of the word and the body signs in a semiotic horizon. The words and the body signs, therefore, are to be understood in the broader framework of the verbal and non-verbal communicative resources the individual uses due to a natural predisposition to multimodality

Get PDFL’intervento si propone di approfondire il rapporto tra Quasimodo e l’Assoluto, a partire dalla presenza di richiami biblici ed evangelici nella produzione in versi del poeta (con particolare attenzione alla raccolta Giorno dopo giorno). Verrà sottoposta una breve campionatura di casi che declinano le diverse modalità di rielaborazione delle fonti religiose (calchi, allusioni fino alla riscrittura), con precisi riferimenti (ove necessario) al testo greco, al fine di delineare, proprio attraverso ciò che permane e ciò che viceversa Quasimodo non aveva accolto dai testi originari – nonché grazie all’analisi del carteggio tenutosi tra l’autore e Giorgio La Pira – la dimensione filosofico-religiosa entro la poetica quasimodiana.This article aims to examine the relationship between Quasimodo and the Absolute by considering the biblical and evangelical references in the author’s verses, particularly in the collection Giorno dopo giorno. A few cases have been selected which showcase how religious sources are reworked by Quasimodo (from calques and allusions to rewritings) and specific references will be made, where appropriate, to the Greek texts. The goal is to provide an outline of the religious and philosophical qualities to Quasimodo’s poetics by considering, in addition to the author’s correspondence with Giorgio La Pira, what the author did and did not extract from the original texts

Get PDFA partire dalle consolidate conclusioni critiche sul suo rapporto con l’ermetismo, si guarda alla scrittura di Quasimodo attraverso un gioco di continuità e insieme di scarti e di prese di distanza, in modo da mostrare come la produzione in versi presenti temi e scritture che mantengono una loro forza, passando dalla letteratura degli anni trenta a quella degli anni cinquanta-sessanta: la poetica della parola e la conversione al reale. Sul rapporto tra impegno e letteratura nasce una sorta di dialogo, a distanza, con Vittorini.Starting from the consolidated critical conclusions about his relationship with Hermetism, we examine Quasimodo's writing through a dynamic interplay of continuity, discards, and distancing. This approach highlights how his verses maintain thematic and stylistic strengths across the literature of the 1930s to the 1960s, centering on a poetics of the word and a turn toward reality. A somewhat distant dialogue with Vittorini emerges, focusing on the relationship between political engagement and artistic expression
