FABRICATION OF SILENCER
No full textThe air pollution is the major problem on the earth. The major pollution on the earth is caused by automobiles. IC engines produces undesirable emission such as unburnt hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxides (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), oxides of Sulphur (SOx), and solid carbon particle. So it is necessary that serious attempts should be made to conserve earth’s environment from degradation. An aqua silencer is an attempt in this direction. It mainly deals with control of emission and noise from the IC engine. An aqua silencer is placed at the exhaust pipe of an engine. Aqua Silencer is a modification of a conventional silencer which is aimed at the reduction of emission from the exhaust of an IC engine into the atmosphere and also to reduce the noise by damping methods which involves water. It uses the cheap chemicals like lime water, charcoal and water in the design and fabrication of the silencer to reduce the noise and toxic emission from IC engine. Sound produced in water is less audible than in atmosphere. This principle is used to reduce the noise level of the internal combustion engine Hence our attempt is to replace the conventional silencer by aqua silencer ti reduce the air and noise pollution
GRAIN FILLING DEVICE
No full textA simple manually operated grain collector and bagging made of locally available materials using local manufacturing technology was designed, fabricated, and tested for collecting and bagging of grains(paddy) dried on concrete pavement. The invention belongs to the technical field of agricultural machines, and relates to a tool applied when grains are collected after being aired, in particular to a manual grain bagging machine. Grains are automatically loaded into a dustpan by pushing the manual grain bagging machine with hands, a hand wheel of a drive assembly is rotated so that a gear can push a rack to move upwards at first and then move horizontally, and a stop bar on the dustpan is blocked by a left arc baffle and a right arc baffle so that the dustpan can tilt to pour the grains into an opening bag. A simple manually operated grain collector and bagging had the following major components: frame, wheel, long pipe, vertical stand frame (bars), horizontal bars, collector, and bag. Radial flat bladed type base plate, slot bar, sweeping box, bagging area, frame and the conveyance system. Results showed significant differences on the collecting capacity, and noise level. Other parameters such as collecting efficiency, air velocity, augmented cracked grain percentage. The design was made based on certain assumptions and calculation and the collector was built tested and evaluated
HYDRULIC TRAFFIC REDUCE SYSTEM
No full textOne of the primary challenges has been traffic congestion. India is one of the world\u27s quickest and largest economies. Because India has such a large population, there are a large number of private vehicles on the road, causing traffic congestion. As a result, we\u27ve introduced the new way to address this issue. In the event of an emergency, on the roadside if there is heavy traffic and an emergency vehicle needs to pass. We can allow the vertical movement of the footpath so that cars can simply crawl on to it and clear their way by employing a hydraulic traffic reduction system, which uses a hydraulic mechanism beneath the sidewalk. By incorporating this system into the construction of the new road, we will be able to save money while also assisting in times of need. As a result, we can reduce traffic congestion during inclement weather and emergencies

No full textIn order to conserve natural resources and economize energy, weight reduction has been the main focus of automobile manufacturer in the present scenario. Weight reduction can be achieved primarily by the introduction of better material, design optimization and better manufacturing processes.The present project is focused on quantifying the stress & deflection analysis using the existing (default) metal leaf springs and then by replacing them with carbon fiber springs. The project gives a brief look on the suitability of composite leaf spring on vehicles and their advantages. Efforts have been made to check the load-deflection of composite leaf spring to that of steel leaf spring. The achievement of bending stresses & weight reduction with adequate improvement of mechanical properties has made composite a very replacement material for convectional steel. Material is selected upon the cost and strength factor. The objective is to present, modeling and analysis of composite mono leaf spring and compare its results. Modeling is done using CATIA and Analysis is carried out by using ANSYS 14.0 software for better understanding. From the comparative study, it is seen that bending stresses in composite material is reduced as compared to conventional steel leaf spring & it is visible upto 10.34 % reduction observed in bending stresses which is desirable for leaf spring of vehicle & also it has been noticed that , the composite material leaf spring is deflect more as compared to the steel leaf spring i.e upto 9.27 % more, so that composite material leaf spring lower the spring rate as compared to the steel leaf spring.
