EFFECT OF PVD COATED TOOLS ON EUTECTIC ALUMINIUM ALLOY DURING DRY MACHINING PROCESS
Aluminium Alloy is widely used in various Industries like Aerospace, Automobile etc. due to their peculiar character weight by volume ratio. Addition Silicon not only increases the strength of the alloy but also helps to perform smooth machining. Silicon in the Al alloy is about 12% is commonly known as Eutectic Al Alloy. Machining is a further challenge for this Eutectic alloy. Dry machining process is an economic and environmental healthy process. In the present study Eutectic Aluminium alloy is machined using PVD coated HC,AlTiN and Uncoated Carbide cutting tool. Minitab statistical software is used to produce L27 Array for 3 factor and 3 levels of variables to conduct turning experiment. Average Surface roughnesses are recorded to optimize the cutting parameters for each tool using Taguchi analysis for the dry machining process. Hard Carbon coated tool machining gives minimum Ra= 0.615 µm at 2000 rpm Speed, 0.02 mm/rev feed rate and 0.25mm depth of cut. The study also shows that coated tools shows appreciable results compared with uncoated tools to achieve optimized surface finish.
 
EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON STRENGTH OFCONCRETEBYPARTIALREPLACEMENTOFCOARSEAGGREGATEBYLATERITESTONE
Concrete is one of the most extensively used building material. Scarcity and non-available of coarseaggregate at affordable cost affected adversely on the construction industry.So using alternative material(lateritestone)forcoarse. The experiment is mainly aimed to study the structural properties of concrete mix in which coarse aggregate is partially replaced by lateritre stone. Concrete mix contains 0%, 20%,25%,30%,35%,40%, 45% and 50% of coarse aggregate replaced by laterite stone. Here it is observed that whenupto25% of coarse aggregate is substituted by laterite stone aggregate the concrete strength like compressive andsplit tensile has been boosted. Whereas the workability of concrete decreases with increase of percentage oflaterite stone as coarse aggregate. We got maximum compressive strength 42.63 N/mm2 and split tensilestrength of 11.55 N/mm2 of 25% replacement of laterite stone for M30 grade. Hence from above results we conclude that compare to conventional concrete 25% of coarse aggregate can be replaced by later it estone

MANUFACTURING OF LEAF TYPE DRILL JIG
Drill is device used to locate and clamp the work piece as well as it guides the tool. Jig is mainly used for mass production. For large scale production of different material, a lot of time is wasted in setup of device and clamping the device. Trial and error method is usually practiced until the axis of work is properly aligned with axis of drill. In such a situation a lot of time is being wasted to maintain the accuracy. Eventually it increases the operator’s fatigue. Thus, drill jig can increase productivity by increasing individual positioning, marking and frequent changing. The main advantage of the jigs is interchangeability.Jig design consist of selecting the proper locating and clamping devices and the jig should be robust in order to withstand the cutting forces so the proper material should be selected for manufacturing of the jig. The clamping forces and the cutting force must be calculated and checked and the clamping force must be greater than the cutting force so that the clamping will resist the cutting forces.The aim of this project is to design and manufacture the jig for drilling the holes on the mild steel component so that the position of holes will be at proper position with very less tolerance. The jig is designed for simple vertical milling machine so that unskilled worker will be able to drill the holes without any mistake.The drilling and clamping force are calculated and the design is checked for the safety a proper operation

ONION SAPLING PLANTATION MACHINE
The basic needs for small scale cropping machines are, they should be suitable for small farming fields, easy I design and technology and versatile for use in various farm operations. A manually operated template row planter was designed and implemented to improve planting efficiency and decrease drudgery involved in manual planting method. Seed planting is also possible for various size of seed at variable depth and space between two seed. Also, it increases seed planting, seed/fertilizer placement accuracies and it is made of durable and cheap material affordable for the small-scale peasant farmers. The usability, adjusting and maintaining principles are made simple for effective handling by unskilled operators (farmers).The hard work of farmers and time required to sow the seed and sapling is very time consuming. So, keeping in mind about the small-scale farmers we have made our project efficient, time saving and also affordable to the farmers.It becomes helpful to the farmers to transplant the saplings in good and efficient way. Onion growing farmers are experiencing challenges in planting onion seedlings because of a shortage of farming labour during the planting of onion crops. The objective of the project is to design an automated onion planting machine. Thus, a need for an automated onion planting machine developed. This device plants onion plants at predetermined intervals between each plant automatically, without any human intervention. Developing an onion planting machine that automatically plants onions in a row, reducing farmers\u27 labour costs and time, was a major factor in its development.
 
VIBRATION ANALYSIS AND FAULT DIAGNOSIS OF VERTICAL (ROTARY TABLE) INSERT- MOULDING MACHINE AND PRESS MACHINE (WITH FEEDER)
Molding is the process of turning raw plastic into a shape or form that is the desired finished product. Every kind of product demands a different molding technique, and among them, overmolding process and insert molding design types are considered the best molding techniques in the market. The conventional plastic manufacturing process involves melting or softening the plastic at considerably high temperatures and then using different techniques to mold them into shapes that make them a useful finished product. Molding is used in making virtually any moulded component out of plastic following design considerations for plastic overmolding. A plastic chair or anything made out of plastic is basically made using molding techniques. In this blog post, we will discuss insert molding various design aspects related to the technique in detail. The aim of this post is to discuss the most common and encouraged molding technique in the world (insert molding), its working methodology, design considerations, benefits and applications in various sectors. These types of failures might take place during the manufacturing process and therefore it is important to review the problem and monitor the condition of vertical insert- moulding machine, so that the details of failure would occur before any harsh consequences take place. Therefore, an early detection and indication is necessary for the safety and reliability of machine. This paper describes various vibration monitoring techniques suitable to analyze the defect in vertical insert- moulding machine. By performing this test, these techniques would reveal information about the progressing faults. From the different maintenance techniques, conditioning monitoring which is one of the techniques is highlighted. It uses the vibration having high frequencies which are generated from faulty components, is therefore investigated and compared. From the different conditioning monitoring techniques, vibration analysis method is been elaborated and therefore utilized as a medium to fulfill the aim. An experimental set up is used to testify and investigate good parts and faulty parts by using different measurement tools pulse software, visteck analyzer to measure amplitude, sensors to obtain faulty signals. Also, the vibration signatures caused due to damages at moving parts are examined. The result indicates that faulty parts have a strong effect on vibration spectrum. This paper therefore reveals frequencies domain signals from vibration analysis. Overall, this paper has demonstrated that different techniques are useful in detecting the problems in insert -moulded machine components
