Deze dataset geeft het aantal gezworen vertalers weer bij de Belgische Hoven van Beroep en Rechtbanken van eerste aanleg, tussen 1840 en 1914. De aantallen zijn gebaseerd op tellingen in de Almanach royal de Belgique.This dataset presents the amount of sworn translators of the Belgian Courts of Appeals and Courts of First Instance between 1840 and 1914. The count is based on the censuses in the Almanach royal de Belgique
De repartitie van de directe belastingen in het Proosse in de vijftiende eeuw
De bundel rekeningen die zich in het archiefstuk 11042 van het fonds "Brugse Vrije Registers" in het Rijksarchief te Brugge bevinden, behandelt de proostlanden die zich binnen het Brugse Vrije bevonden en rechtstreeks door het college van redenaars te Brugge werden bestuurd en belast. In de vijftiende eeuw werden deze proostlanden voor het innen van de belastingen verdeeld over een achttiental sectoren, genoemd naar de belangrijkste dorpen die zich in die sectoren bevonden (een repartitietechniek die in de volgende eeuwen zou wijzigen) en als dusdanig in een lijst opgetekend.

Media documentation (video, audio) for the doctoral dissertation 'Brave Belgians of the Belle Époque' (Ghent University, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, 2021). Section: horn solo. Documentation Reference Horns (JB 1-5, MDM, YM, BI) ‘Brave Belgians of the Belle Époque’ is an artistic case study that unravels the paradigm of a flourishing legacy of horn playing in Ghent at the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth centuries. The rediscovery of this lost legacy was enabled by analysis of a comprehensive time capsule of related archival findings, historical instruments and repertoire. Findings were contextualized from the perspective of a modern-day performer, creating a practice- based framework that reflects musical performance and perception, artistic identity and the education of musicians, past, present and future. The result was comprised in a like-named doctoral dissertation to which these datasets are linked. This folder contains a dataset of audio and video and an sound bank material linked to reference horns of the 'Brave Belgians of the Belle Époque' dissertation and the likenamed documenting appendix.
