Data and code of the publication entitled: A common framework to model recovery in disturbed tropical forests
We developed an original Bayesian hierarchical model of recovery trajectories, considering disturbed forests in a common framework, through a disturbance intensity gradient, inferred with the loss of basal area due to disturbance. As a case study, we tested our modelling approach on above-ground biomass, Shannon taxonomic diversity and taxonomic composition similarity from two long-term experiments, Tirimbina (Costa Rica) and Paracou (French Guiana), where forest permanent sample plots have been set up following selective logging (63.25 ha), agriculture (4 ha), and clearcutting+fire (6.25 ha).
This dataset contains:
1 dictionary data text file
5 model scripts (run under the R package rstan version 2.26.13):
Stan codes for the vegetation attribute predictions: above-ground biomass (AGB), Shannon diversity, and composition similarity.
Stan codes for the general models of long-term and long- + short-term processes presented in the publication.
12 data sets:
Basal area in disturbed forests, and in old-growth forests (for above-ground biomass and Shannon diversity predictions)
Above-ground biomass in disturbed forests, and in old-growth forests (for above-ground biomass predictions)
Shannon diversity in disturbed forests, and in old-growth forests (for Shannon diversity predictions)
Basal area in selectively logged forest, in clearcut+fire forest, and in old-growth forests (for composition similarity predictions)
Composition similarity in selectively logged forest, in clearcut+fire forest, and in old-growth forests (for composition similarity predictions)

Participatory Processing Data on Pounded Yam generated by NRCRI in Nigeria
This dataset contains data generated during the Activity 4 or Step 3 - Participatory Processing Diagnosis and Quality Characteristics performed by the NRCRI team in Nigeria on Pounded Yam, within the RTBfoods project (following the Methodological Guidance).
This dataset may contain diverse types of anonymized data (e‧g. questionnaires, processing parameters, cleaned and processed data) which is to be available on open access following a 2-years embargo after the end of the RTBfoods project (embargo ending date: 15 March 2025)
This dataset may also contain non-anonymized data (e‧g. raw data, consent forms signed by interviewees) which cannot be made publicly available, at any time; non-anonymized data is contained in the .tar‧gz file. For more information about the content of the .tar‧gz file, you are invited to contact the authors mentioned in the metadata

NIRS Database on cooked sweetpotato for texture & cooking time at CIP, Uganda
Spectra of 61 SP genotypes. 3 cooked cubes per genotype were mashed and scanned by NIRS. Scans were used for calibration development. Reference analysis, cooking time and texture parameters, was done in Uganda directly before scanning. For texture parameters, the method was changed after sample 17, which means that sample IDs 02 to 17 were not considered for calibration development
NIRS Database on Fresh Grounded Cassava for Dry Matter Calibration at IITA, Nigeria
The dataset contains spectral data obtained using XDS Rapid Content Analyzer (FOSS XDS, solid module) for prediction of dry matter of fresh ground cassav
NIRS Database on Fresh Cassava for Dry Matter Calibration at NaCRRI, Uganda
The dataset presents NIRS data obtained on fresh cassava root samples from the Latin American trial set up at NaCRRI-Uganda
News dealing with 'Xylella fastidiosa' collected with PADI-web
Due to the increasing number of new and reemerging pests resulting from intensification, globalisation and climate change, monitoring of plant health is crucial. In this context, the PADI-web pipeline was implemented for plant disease surveillance.
This dataset presents data collected from PADI-web dealing with Xylella fastidiosa (period: 01/01/2021 - 31/12/2022). Extraction done the 4th of January 2023:
(1) 157 relevant news: relevant_articles_Xylella_Fastidiosa_04012023.json;
(2) Relevant events based on locations extracted in these relevant news: relevant_all_location_extracted_information_Xylella_Fastidiosa_04012023.json;
(3) 648 news (relevant and irrelevant): all_articles_Xylella_Fastidiosa_04012023.json
