NIRS Database on fresh blended yam for Dry Matter & Starch at IITA, Nigeria
Multilocation yam samples havested in 2020 (16 genotypes, 2 reps and 2 locations)= 64 samples.
Fresh yam tubers were blended and spectra data was collected. Dry matter and starch analysis was conducted on the scanned samples
Suitability map for Avian influenza, Asia
A Spatial Multi Criteria Evaluation was applied to map a suitability index (ranging from 0: low suitability to 255: high suitability) for habitat suitability for occurrence of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus H5N1 in domestic poultry in Asia. The method developed by (Stevens et al., 2013) was applied on recent databases of poultry and human populations.
Variables included in the study: 1) Domestic waterfowl density, 2) Chicken density,
3) Human population density, 4) Roads, 5) Water, 6) Crops.
A full description of the methodology is presented in (Stevens et al., 2013).
The present data set includes rasters (spatial resolution: ca 1 km):
- the AI suitability map
- the normalized criteria

Replication Data for: Does a decade of organic fertilization promote copper and zinc phytoavailability? Evidences from a laboratory biotest with field-collected soil samples
We assessed the effect of a decade of agronomically realistic organic fertilization on copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) availability in the rhizosphere and their phytoavailability. Using a laboratory biotest, Festuca arundinacea was exposed to 34 soil samples collected from three agricultural field trials that had received no, mineral, or organic fertilization for a decade. Dissolved organic matter (DOM) properties (i‧e., concentration, aromaticity, and binding properties toward Cu), pH, and Cu and Zn availability (i‧e., total dissolved concentration and free ionic activity) were determined in the rhizosphere solutions. Cu and Zn phytoavailability was measured as the plant uptake flux. Contrary to bulk soils, organic fertilization induced very few changes in the chemistry and Cu and Zn availability in the rhizosphere solutions compared to no and mineral fertilization. Consistently, Cu and Zn phytoavailability did not increase with organic fertilization, but it was mostly driven by soil properties rather than by fertilization. Despite increasing soil Cu and Zn contamination, a decade of soil organic fertilization did not increase Cu and Zn phytoavailability, presumably due to the root-mediated levelling of Cu and Zn availability in the rhizosphere

This file contains instrumental textural data of boiled yam that was collected by UAC-FSA team in Benin using a standard operating procedure
Participatory Processing Data on Eba generated by IITA in Nigeria
This dataset contains data generated during the Activity 4 or Step 3 - Participatory Processing Diagnosis and Quality Characteristics performed by the IITA team in Nigeria on Eba, within the RTBfoods project (following the Methodological Guidance).
This dataset may contain diverse types of anonymized data (e‧g. questionnaires, processing parameters, cleaned and processed data) which is to be available on open access following a 2-years embargo after the end of the RTBfoods project (embargo ending date: 15 March 2025)
This dataset may also contain non-anonymized data (e‧g. raw data, consent forms signed by interviewees) which cannot be made publicly available, at any time; non-anonymized data is contained in the .tar‧gz file. For more information about the content of the .tar‧gz file, you are invited to contact the authors mentioned in the metadata
"Grand Plateau" permanent plots fifth census, 2012, Nouragues forest
Forest censuses from the Nouragues research station, CNRS, French Guiana, in the Guyafor network. This dataset gathered trees location, botanical identification and size measurement from the 2012 census. The mission of the Nouragues research Station is to foster scientific research in tropical rain forests, at a site remote from major human activities. Guyafor Data Dictionary</a
Forest map, Western Highlands region, Reunion Island
A land cover map of forests of the Western Highlands region, Reunion Island was produced using a cloudless very high spatial resolution Pleiades image acquired on 31 May 2020. The final map was obtained through a supervised object-based classification of the Pleiades image using a reference database. The main forest species are Acacia heterophylla, Cryptomeria japonica and Acacia mearnsii. The overall accuracy of the final map is 88% and the Kappa index 0.86.
The current dataset includes the reference database used for training and validation, input data (vegetation and texture indices), and the results of a supervised pixel-based classification of the same area.
