Using e-learning via an online-learning Management System (Moodle) to supplement the high school English curriculum- exploring the possibilities and potential.
P(論文)This paper explores the possibilities and potential for using E-learning via a learn- ing management system to supplement the Shoin High School English curriculum. After briefly introducing the advantages for both students and teachers, the paper describes the myriad of possible activity-types that could be utilized using one par- ticular LMS (Moodle), and then scenarios two possibilities based on an actual re- quired high school textbook. The paper then explores the potential of E-learning for high school English.departmental bulletin pape

The Characteristics of the Recognition of Musical Elements in the Different Childcare Forms : Based on the Results of the Music Test Carried out in Four Nursery Schools
The purpose of this study is to analyze the results to carry out the music test for the young children whether the different childcare forms affected the recognition of musical elements or not. Therefore, I carried out the music test for four years old children and five years old children in U and I nursery schools with a childcare form mainly based on play(n=103)and four years old children and five years old children in K and M nursery schools with a childcare form following the Montessori method(n= 89). The data of the music test was analyzed utilizing multivariate analysis. Moreover, the data of the four nursery schoolers who took twice of the music test was analyzed by a two way repeated ANOVA. As a result, it was clarified that the children under the Montessori method showed superior recognition to the regularity included in the musical elements than the children in the childcare form mainly based on play. Some characteristics concerning the recognition of the musical elements in early childhood depended on the difference of the childcare forms.departmental bulletin pape
The Weight Loss Effect of Low Carbohydrate Diets in Obese Subjects : A Literature Review
Weight loss effects and safety of low carbohydrate diets(LCD), which are common in Japan, are examined. This literature review was conducted to reveal 1)features of the LCD methods, 2)factors that influence weight loss, and 3)safety of weight loss, with reference to Blackburn’s weight loss clinical evaluation index. Twenty one LCD studies, whose subjects were healthy obese people, were selected for review from the academic medical research database. Most LCDs allow intake of high fat and high protein foods, rather than a strict regime of limiting carbohydrates. Weight loss appeared to be greater in studies with longer rather than with shorter observation periods. Also, the greater weight loss was observed, the carbohydrate to energy intake ratio became smaller. Rapid weight loss was observed in about 70% of the studies, which presents a risk of malnutrition. LCDs should be used with caution because 1)the energy ratios of LCDs diverge widely from the healthy diet that is recommended from Japanese dietary reference intakes, and 2)the risks of worsening renal function will increase if patients with diabetic nephropathy use LCDs. Warnings about possible negative effects of LCDs should be publicised to protect people’s health.departmental bulletin pape
Examining Learning Physical Expression (Education) B Class and Its Educational Effects through Students' Goal Attainment Evaluation and Teaching Skill Developmentand
The purpose of this present study was to examine learning contents of Physical Expression (Physical Education) Class B, (which is based on the Ministry's curriculum guideline),appropriateness of its goal-setting, and educational effects. Analyzing students' responses to a questionnaire on goal-attainment evaluation and their teaching skill development,it was found that the PE class of for suitable learning contents, and brings about a certain amount of educational effect.departmental bulletin pape
