Testing the writing skills in high school level: The case of Leonik Tomeo High school, Durres
Get PDFThe main focus of this article will be the issue of testing writing skills in English language at the high school level. The method we have used to collect the data is the qualitative one. More specifically, the data has been collected by examining English language final tests provided by the teachers. The examination of the tests is related only to exercises designed to test writing (not speaking or grammar) and it will be divided in three main categories as follows:
a) criteria used by the teachers to assess writing skills in English
b) number of points given to exercises designed for testing writing versus the rest of the test
c) types of texts chosen for this purpose.
Part of the analysis will be the students’ level of English as well. We will also focus on the types of texts that result problematic for them. Furthermore, teachers will be asked about possible ways they can use to help students improve their writing skills. The findings of this study and the review of literature will provide useful suggestions related to testing writing skills in English

Në këtë kontekst, ky punim trajton tipologjitë e objekteve në dy aspekte: sistemet e ndërtimit tradicional dhe strukturat bashkëkohore, duke i analizuar dhe klasifikuar elementet strukturore si dhe duke i interpretuar vlerat arkitektonike. Është dhënë një përshkrim kronologjik që pason me shpjegim të detajuar. Janë paraqitur detaje dhe të dhëna teknike lidhur me mënyrat e ndërtimit duke u bazuar në literaturën përkatëse dhe studimin në terren të arkitekturës tradicionale dhe bashkëkohore me bazë druri. Për më tepër, është përshkruar artizanati dekorativ në dru i mjeshtrit popullor kosovar, që zë një pjesë të rëndësishme në shtëpinë tradicionale.

“The factors that cause anxiety in learning English speaking skills among high school students” (Case study: High School “KadriKusari” in Gjakova)”
Get PDFMentor: Dr.sc. Qatip ArifiIt has been generally recognized that many high school students faces difficulties in learning and speaking English language. Anxiety is one of them. The tendency of the this research is to investigate the factors that cause anxiety in learning English speaking skills among students of the high school “KadriKusari” in Gjakove, and to develop strategies for reducing the effect of language anxiety. The researcher carried out the study by conducting Google form questionaries’ with 92 students and interviews with four English teachers from the respective school. Also open discussions on the topic of the research are carried out by the five teachers with their students during English classes.
The findings from questionaries’ and interviews showed that the students felt anxious of making mistakes and about teachers correcting their mistakes in the classes; they felt nervousness about failing the exams; some of the identified factors of anxiety were associated with learner’s own sense of ‘self ’ and language classroom environment, self-perceptions, strict and formal classroom environment, presentation in the classroom, fear of making mistakes and apprehension about others’ evaluation, as well as their primary school education in particular English language teaching and learning.
The study derived several recommendations and the most important is that a low- anxiety and supportive learning environment should be created inside the classroom

The administrator’s role of the local media on the challenges of media competition and management
Get PDFAlthough the problems are inherent, as for the functioning of the media
market, as and to produce quality journalism, the fact is that local media is
now an important actor in the country, which has its own importance and
deserves a detailed study. Nowadays, local media is faced with a number of
challenges, as the economic difficulties, facing the new technological
developments, confronting local government or politics, lack of
professionalism, and the resistance of media owners to journalists control. At
first, small markets create significant difficulty in consolidating media
businesses since the cost of the products of these businesses is almost the
same as that produced in the media working for major markets, while gains
are much smaller. Government intervention trends are somewhat obvious
and direct, but the legal framework does not apply, as well as for copyright.
These are the problems facing the local media administrator. We examine
the relationships between administrator‘s personality, his flexibility (ability
to adapt quickly to environmental changes), and firm performance. We have
observed cases of local media management in Shkodra, and we think that
strategic flexibility mediates the relationships between administrator‘s
personality and firm performance of his media (TV, newspaper or web). Our
results extend previous research by not only highlighting the importance of
administrator‘s personality in driving the flexibility and being competitive,
but also indicating how each facet of administrator‘s personality either
enhances or inhibits the media efficiency
DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN KOSOVO-TURKEY
Get PDFMentor: Prof. Dr. Dashnim IsmajliIn this study I will analyze the diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Turkey since 1980 until now. Also I will analyze the historical relations between Albania and Turkey from the XIV Century.
Research methodology is mixed type, quantitative and qualitative method through which I will respond to research questions for the evaluation of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Turkey. For the collection of the data will be used questionnaires and diplomatic protocols between Kosovo and Turkey. Quantitative data will be analyzed by statistical methods by using the program for statistics meanwhile qualitative data will be analyzed by the inductive method.
The research will be done in the Republic of Kosovo respectively in the Embassy of Turkey in Kosovo, in historical museums in Kosovo and Turkey, in historical places in Kosovo, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, will be included historians and experts of diplomatic relations, students from the Faculty of Public Administration and Diplomacy.
Gender and age is based on the legislature of the employed in the above-mentioned places.
From data analysis I will analyze and evaluate that the diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Turkey since 1980 until today have helped in the changingof our views, significantlyimproving bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries
