Uncovering Aspects of a Human Utopia in Quentin Compson of “The Sound and the Fury”
Get PDFThe main aim of this paper is to explore aspects of a human utopia in the character of Quentin Compson, in the novel “The Sound and the Fury”, by William Faulkner. Quentin is the older brother of the Compson Family and the most tragic individual of this novel. His appalling fate is a result of the incompatibility to suit the new reality of norms and values in the 20th century America. By building a utopia on the cultural values of the past, he arrives to capture himself in a life full of absurdity. Family pressure, norms, ethical codes, along with the moral standards, plays an essential role in his utopia.
Just like every inhabitant in South America, Quentin finds himself within two standards society: a knightly and a Victorian one. In front of the reader it is exposed a meaningless reality, of a young man searching for himself, while fighting with time and his demons. The technical devices for building the figure of Quentin are achieved through a double dimension of conflict and desire, where this character is uncovered by a combination of vertical and horizontal overview.
Through an empirical analysis of Quentin, I will arrive to the point to evaluate the alternative reality of a man like him and indirectly present features of the modern American society, at the beginning of the 20th century, conditioning him
Language Evolution and Re-translations
Get PDFLanguage transformations in the course of the years may dictate the necessity of retranslations. Given the rapid change of languages, it is high time to consider retranslation of world literature masterpieces. As languages evolve, translations become dated, which explains why translations are «re-translated» so that they are updated and enriched linguistically. The translation gets old, whereas the original remains the unchanged. Translation needs to be contemporaneous in order to keep pace with the language level of the recipients of any generation. Retranslations occur mainly because of the constant development of the target language. The Albanian language has changed. It has become more open to words describing new phenomena that were missing while trying to transmit feelings, situations or events coming across in the works of greatest authors. This work will focus on an analysis of transformation of language norms, changes in orthographic rules, changes of political systems, which consist of main reasons that make the retranslation of the masterpieces a necessity. However, there are numerous debates surrounding the re-translation of literary classics.Nevertheless, the re-translation issue is complex and needs to be reviewed in several aspects

mënyrën se si ajo e merr sot informacionin dhe e shijon argëtimin që ofron
media, por dhe ai ajo kontribuon vetë në ideimin dhe realizimin e audiopërmbajtjeve.
Ky punim ka në qendër pikërisht mënyrën se si e përdorin hapësirën
virtuale redaksitë e radiove në Shqipëri: aspekte të menaxhimit të asaj pjese
të performancës audio, të cilën ndjekësit e marrin nga navigimi në faqen e
internetit; format më të përdorura të informimit dhe zbavitjes që shkarkohen
në website-in e stacionit; pengesat e mangësitë që i mbajnë ende larg një
pjesë të menaxherëve dhe pronarëve të radiove oferta virtual etj.
Për ta konkretizuar dinamikën e tregut radiofonik në punim përfshihet
dhe një shqyrtim krahasues për performancën virtuale në periudhën 2013 –
2016, nëpërmjet prezantimit të rezultateve të tre monitorimeve të
njëpasnjëshme në fluksin e transmetimeve shqiptare, si një zgjedhje
metodologjike që ndihmon për të kuptuar edhe më mire prirjen dhe shijen që
kanë stafet radiofonike për shërbimet që u jepen ndjekësve përmes internetit

shumë më të mëdha, në krahasim me gazetarët të cilët punojnë në
medien kombëtare apo edhe në ndërkombëtare. Ka shumë faktorë që
e rëndojnë punën dhe funksionimin e mirëfilltë të medies lokale. Në
fushë-studimin tonë, jemi dëshmitarë se të rralla janë ato mediume
televizive që i përmbahen etikës së mirëfilltë gazetareske. Duke mos
dashur të bëjmë përgjithësime, por fatkeqësisht, një numër i madh i
mediume lokale varen apo funksionojnë në mënyrë ―dkitatoriale‖, ku
pronari e dikton politikën editoriale të mediumit, apo, për të mos
thënë që ai është personi që vendos çka të editohet apo të
transmetohet, gjë që e rëndon funksionimin e mirëfilltë të mediumit.
Duke u nisur nga vetë emri media lokale, na krijohet percepcioni
se janë mediat e një regjioni të caktuar dhe funksionojnë dhe
veprojnë duke e pasqyruar realitetin e atij regjioni. Mirëpo, shumica e
mediale lokale tek ne, hapësirën kryesore editues e mbulojnë me
ngjarje të nivelit kombëtar dhe ndërkombëtar, duke i anashkaluar problemet dhe aktualitetin e atij regjioni, pra mund të thuhet se bëjnë
një zhvendosje të vëmendjes të audiencës lokale.
Nëse e bëjmë një analizë se si është sot gazetari lokal përballë
gazetarit të medieve kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare, atëherë mund
të themi se kemi gazetarë të cilëve u mungon formimi profesion për
profesionin të cilin e ushtrojnë, por, edhe pse në raste më të rralla, kur
kemi ndonjë gazetar që ka formimin universitar për profesionin e
gazetarit, ai duhet të punojnë në bazë të direktivave të pronarit të
medias. Këtë më së miri e ilustron gazetari i TV Besa të Prizrenit, i
cili ditë më parë iu qas një padrejtësie që u zhvillua në Drejtorin e
Arsimit të Prizrenit, porse padroni e shtyri të tërhiqet, sepse mund të
kishte komplikime në vazhdimin e marrjes së reklamave nga Komuna
e Prizrenit

Get PDFOne thing that teachers, students, and researchers can all agree upon is that learning vocabulary is an essential part of mastering a second language.Also, vocabulary is regarded as one of the most essential parts of second language acquisition and can be broadly defined as knowledge of words and word meaning.
This study aims at giving good techniques and strategies of teaching vocabulary to the Albanian students who learn English as a foreign language, by means of the morphological patterns, especially, through affixation patterns.We strongly believe the idea of morphological awareness, which has to do with the consciousness of the word meaning and the structure of morphemes in relation to words. The more students know about the affixation patterns and their combinations to root words, the more they develop and enrich their vocabulary.The use ofprefixes and suffixes knowledge and pattern while teaching English vocabulary and its effect to the students of English, is also shown by the results of a survey conducted. Based on the resultsthere are drawnsome conclusions and effective strategies and recommendations are given to all the teachers of English language

Get PDFThis paper aims to compare these two cases, to create a clear problematic overview, which representing today these countries to regional and global security, and solving this dispute with adequate means. By comparing the legal, political and diplomatic effects of these two nuclear programs, which affect the most powerful security strategies of countries in the world, this work paper intends to draw a line between their differences.
The methodology to be used in this paper, it will be analysis of literature, international legal acts and declarations of the states’ representatives which are involved in resolving the crisis or which are part of the problem.
The findings of this study relate to that: even existing of common elements between these cases, there are important differences between them. The same applicable legal instruments and diplomatic means resolution of these crises do not have the same effects on them. This it makes that each of this case to be unique, and unmatched in resolving the crisis.
Taken into consideration the existing literature on this issue, this paper modestly trying to fulfill the scientific gap in terms of finding the differences in these cases, as well as possible application instruments in resolving the nuclear crisis in the future
