    Financial management attitude and practice among non-teaching staff in public schools of Samal island

    This study explored the relationship between financial management attitude and practice among non-teaching staff in public schools of Samal Island. A quantitative research design and descriptive method were used, with weighted mean, Pearson-r and regression analysis to analyze the data. A survey questionnaire was administered to sixty-nine non-teaching personnel, randomly selected. The results indicated a high degree of financial management attitude among respondents but modest levels of financial management practice. Cash management was the highest average level, while risk management, credit management, retirement planning, and estate planning were all the same level. Statistically significant correlations were found between financial management attitude and practice, with a positive attitude leading to better practice. Regression analysis shows that for every unit, an increase in financial management attitude corresponds to a rise in Practice. The study suggests that non-teaching staff have a positive attitude towards financial management but can improve their practices, particularly in credit and risk management areas. to address this, the researchers recommend implementing targeted financial literacy training programs and partnering with external stakeholders to enhance the impact of these initiatives

    Domestic tourists risk perception and visit intention to rural tourism destinations in Davao City

    In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Tourism ManagementThis study surveyed the relationship between domestic tourists' perceptions of risks and their intentions to visit rural tourism destinations. A survey of 300 participants with randomly selected respondents was conducted to find out the level of risk perception and the level of visit intention to rural tourism destinations among domestic tourists. The survey findings reveal concerns about perception of risk, knowledge of pneumonia, knowledge of tourism, cost risk, attitude of risk aversion, equipment risk, psychological risk, physical risk, social risk, and performance risk. Understanding these perceptions can inform destination management strategies to mitigate perceived risks and promote rural tourism development. This research contributes valuable insights to destination tourism stakeholders in Davao City. With a nuanced understanding of tourists' perceptions and motivations, stakeholders can devise targeted interventions to enhance destination attractiveness, alleviate perceived risks and foster sustainable rural tourism development. This research aimed to determine the perception of tourist risk and visit intention for rural tourism destinations among domestic tourists in Davao City. This research is important not only to the tourism destinations but also to the tourists in Davao City. The findings underscore the significance of risk perception in shaping tourists' behavior and preferences, highlighting the need for destination managers to address perceived risks effectively. Strategies for mitigating risks and enhancing perceived safety and security in rural tourism destinations are discussed, along with implications for destination marketing and promotion efforts. The method used for the surveys was the descriptive-quantitative method. This study randomly assigned respondents who were willing to answer the surveys prepared. Drawing conclusions and recommendations was thoroughly based on the findings of the researchers

    Attitude towards sustainable development: a cross-sectional study

    The study aims to explore the differences in the attitude of 86 Grade six students at Angel Villarica Central Elementary School towards sustainable development. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, the researchers gained insights into the students' perspectives on sustainability. They used an established questionnaire from previous research and employed statistical tools like the T-test, Mean and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for analysis. The results revealed that the overall attitude towards sustainable development among Angel Villarica central Elementary School students is notably high, indicating a solid manifestation of these attitudes, interestingly, there were significant variations in attitudes based on gender, but no significant differences were found concerning religion or age. These findings suggest that gender influences attitude toward sustainability, while factors like religion and age do not significantly impact. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainable development education into school curriculums to cultivate a generation aware and proactive about sustainability issues. With 86 respondents selected through convenience sampling from the Grade 6 student population at Angel Villarica Central Elementary School, this research contributes to promoting environmental consciousness early, highlighting the pivotal role of education in shaping a sustainable future

    In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Tourism ManagementThis study aimed to evaluate the tourism carrying capacity in the development of sustainable tourism destinations in Davao City regarding sustainable development goals. A set of survey questionnaires, which had been previously adopted, was distributed to a representative sample of 400 individuals who identified themselves as local tourists. This study utilized a non-experimental design and employed a descriptive correlation technique. The statistical techniques employed in this study encompassed frequency analysis, mean test, and Anova. The findings of the study indicated a significant level of the driving force, pressure, and state on the carrying capacity in the development of sustainable tourism destinations in Davao City. Whilst the profile of the respondents was significant and had a significantly different perspective on the carrying capacity in the development of sustainable tourism destinations in Davao City. An implication study on carrying capacity in the development of sustainable tourism destinations in Davao City, focusing on driving forces, pressures, and states, offers valuable insights for both theoretical frameworks and practical management strategies. Theoretical implications revolve around understanding the dynamic interplay between driving forces, such as tourism demand and economic incentives, pressures, such as environmental degradation and cultural disruption, and the resulting states, including ecosystem health and socio-cultural integrity. By examining these factors within a carrying capacity framework, researchers can deepen their understanding of the complex systems dynamics shaping sustainable tourism development. Practically, this study informs destination managers and policymakers about the need to implement proactive measures to manage carrying capacity effectively. This includes strategies to regulate visitor flows, mitigate environmental impacts, and safeguard cultural heritage, ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of tourism destinations

    Employees' perception on service quality of beach hotels in Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal

    This study aimed to assess the employees' perception on service quality of beach hotels in babak district, Island Garden City of Samal. The study employed a quantitative research design, a quantitative study requires the involvement of numbers and statistical measurement and can be analyzed mathematically. The research instrument used was a structured questionnaire, which assessed various aspects of service quality. The data collected were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, including mean scores, t-tests, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). A total of 60 employees in selected beach hotels participated in the study through the use of a survey questionnaire. Additionally, the study investigated whether there were significant differences in the perception of employees on service quality when grouped according to gender, and age. The research findings revealed that the majority of the respondents fall within the ages and shown an even distribution of male and female respondents. Results also shows a very high level of perception regarding the quality of service provided. In addition, this study suggests a significant difference on service quality of hotels as perceived by employees when grouped according to gender. However, no significant differences were observed in the perception of employees on service quality of hotels when grouped according to age

A survey of 142 registered rice retailers was conducted using systematic random sampling. Results indicate a high level of cash-flow management knowledge and a solid understanding of saving, with room for improvement in investment knowledge, particularly in tracking net worth and emergency fund importance. Recommendations include an enhancement program to bolster investment knowledge and awareness of financial institutions for assistance. Future research should delve into demographic and psychographic factors influencing financial management among rice retailers and analyze reasons behind increasing business failures in this sector.658.15vi, 27 page

To analyze the essay, researchers go through descriptive qualitative studies. The participants in this study are the researchers. Therefore, researchers measure how valuable and relevant does analyzing the essay through the use of text analysis in the connection of being environmental steward. This study have found out seven themes that can be found on all essays. Hence, researchers analyzed the selected essays in a term used by text analysis, their goal is to gather information and determine the different environmental issues in the selected essay. This study is to advocate teachers and students to use text analysis as the basis of analyzing the essay
