Career preferences are vital decisions for students. In choosing which Tri Bureau agency to work for, there are many factors that students need to consider. The Study used multinomial analysis to determine the career preferences of criminology students at the University of Mindanao among Tri Bureau agencies. Data was collected from 300 randomly selected Criminology students. Using a descriptive survey method, the Study disclosed that the most preferred agencies are the PNP, BPF, and BJMP. 49.30% of respondents identified themselves as having their dream job enforcing the law, preventing and controlling crimes, and maintaining peace and order. 34.70% of the respondents anticipated carrying the duty to protect the people and their property against the fires. Furthermore, 16.00% of respondents visualized working under direct supervision in jail management. The multinomial analysis found that age, gender, influence of Family and friends, socioeconomic, and personal interests do not predict their career preferences. This Study recommends the following: future researchers, future criminology students, the guidance personnel, the community, and parents of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). These aim to help you set professional goals and development strategies for getting where you want to be iv Keywords: Career preference, Criminology Students, University of Mindanao, SDG # 4: Quality Educatio

Language is a tool for communication, and it serves many other purposes in Zand disasters. This study aims to investigate the challenges of mothers living in a disaster-prone area in Panabo City in interpreting disaster warning announcements as they do have unique role in securing the security and safety of their family during disaster emergency situations. The participants were only ten (10) to be utilized in a phenomenological study. This study used qualitative phenomenological research design to acquire significant insights. Further, the results of this study show that mothers experience challenges in interpreting disaster warning announcements, lack of English language exposure, difficulties in interpreting words and terminologies used in disaster announcements, and anxiety of mothers. However, this challenge for mothers were coped by applying varying strategies, gathering information from the available resources, achieving confidence in the sourced information, and situational adaptation. These generated findings may help the mothers, government and non-government organizations, and future researchers as a basis to provide solutions and recommendations on how to deal with interpreting English disaster warning announcements

An experimental study on the use of banana peel extract (Musa Acuminata Colla) as corrosion inhibitor for low-carbon steel

In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringA class of steel alloys known as low-carbon steel is distinguished by having a low carbon percentage. It is renowned for its excellent ductility and malleability, making shaping, forming, and welding simple. Because of these characteristics, low-carbon steels are perfect for applications like construction materials and industries where a lot of shape or deformation is needed. Despite being well known for these qualities, low-carbon steel is prone to corrosion, which may impair its integrity over time. Various corrosion protection methods are employed in the construction industry to address this issue. However, commercially made protective coatings pose a danger and harm to the environment. This study aims to create a green corrosion inhibitor from the extracts of banana peels to be used for low-carbon steel coating as well as to assess its optimum inhibition efficiency using various inhibitor concentrations (0.2 g/mL, 0.4g/mL, 0.6 g/mL), and effects on the steel surface after undergoing immersion in 0.1 M HCl and 0.1 M H2SO4. The experimental results obtained from this study showed that 0.6 g/mL had the highest inhibition efficiency (IE) among all concentrations, peaking at 45.89% and 61.80%, respectively. The corrosion rate demonstrated that the highest inhibitor concentration also produced the lowest corrosion rate of steel plates, with SEM analysis providing additional verification of the external surface of the corroded specimen. FTIR analysis was also conducted to determine the functional groups in the banana peels responsible for their corrosion inhibition properties. Banana peel extract was proven to be an effective corrosion inhibitor for low- carbon steel, which also established a step towards sustainable development
