MiTra: A Drone-Based Trajectory Data for an All-Traffic-State Inclusive Freeway with Ramps

    No full text
This dataset contains original videos, tracking logs to validate the videos, and extracted trajectory data of naturalistic traffic collected using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) over a 900 m section of the A50 urban freeway in Milan, Italy. Nine flight campaigns, totaling 135 min, were conducted using six drones flying in a line to capture comprehensive coverage across all traffic states, from free flow to congested conditions. The dataset offers detailed trajectory data extracted from single drone videos (54 datasets from nine flight campaigns of six drones) and 9 datasets of stitched footage from all six drones. With a granularity of 30 frames per second, we extracted 124,641 vehicle trajectories from single drone videos and 24,161 trajectories from stitched footage. This enables complete vehicle tracking across five distinct categories: Cars (73.0%), Medium Vehicles (13.4%), Heavy Vehicles (11.3%), Motorcycles (2.1%), and Buses (0.2%). Of the total vehicles, 76.9% traveled straight on the freeway, while 13% merged and 10.1% diverged using on-ramps and off-ramps, respectively, in both directions. Regarding lane changes, 51.9% of the vehicles in the dataset executed at least one. Among these, 24.8% performed a single lane change, while 27.1% changed lanes multiple times. In addition to trajectory data, this dataset includes the original videos and tracking files, which show the recorded traffic scenes, provide visual context, and enhance the usability and interpretability of the trajectory data. The tracking files can be used to map vehicle IDs in the video, enabling various analyses as detailed in the user guide. This dataset facilitates the analysis of driving behavior, traffic dynamics, and vehicle interactions, offering valuable insights for research, planning, and policymaking in transportation and urban mobility

Estimation of fuel storage capacity for Ammonia-Fueled Vessels

    No full text
This dataset is part of NH3CRAFT Deliverable D5.4: Parametrized Test-Benchmark with Dataset of Desktop Studies. It was generated using a MATLAB/Simulink model developed for a digital design platform supporting the conceptual development of ammonia-fueled ships. The dataset enables parametric studies focused on estimating the ammonia fuel storage capacity and operational profiles of vessels under different scenarios. The model estimates the fuel storage capacity considering the vessel’s operational profile, the vessel’s available installation spaces, and tank configuration options. The operational profile includes engine power, vessel speed, and days of operation. The vessel dimensions take into account the available installation spaces and the breadth of the vessel. Several tank configuration options are explored, including the use of Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) and Forty-foot Equivalent Unit (FEU) tanks—made of either metallic or composite materials—and placement strategies such as horizontal placement (with and without stacking allowance) and vertical placement. The key outputs include the tank capacity per installation space in cubic meters, the vessel range (or coverage) per installation space in nautical miles, and the number of tanks per installation space. vessel range per installation space (nautical miles), and the number of tanks per installation spac

Investigations on prestressing wire breaks in a post-tensioned prefabricated girder – Distributed fiber optic strain data and Python scripts

    No full text
This data set contains distributed fiber optic strain data and Python scripts for evaluation. The data was collected 2022-10-04 during experiments on a decommissioned bridge girder of type BTE 311.080.12. These prefabricated and post-tensioned girders were produced in the former GDR. In the experiments, tendons were deliberately damaged by cutting wires. Two locations on opposite lateral sites of the girder 1 m from the girder's middle were selected: C1 and C2. The data shows strain changes measured with a distributed fiber optic sensor (DFOS) installed in the underside of the girder. The DFOS was routed in three segments along the free span of the girder

Data for the paper "Magnetic order and Li-diffusion in the 1/3-filled Kagome layers of antiperovskite Lithium-ion battery materials (Li2Fe)SO and (Li2Fe)SeO"

    No full text
The recently discovered lithium-rich antiperovskites (Li2Fe)SeO and (Li2Fe)SO host lithium and iron ions on the same atomic position which octahedrally coordinates to central oxygens. In a cubic antiperovskite these sites form Kagome planes stacked along the directions which triangular motifs induce high geometric frustration in the diluted magnetic sublattice for antiferromagnetic interactions. Despite their compelling properties as high-capacity Li-ion battery cathode materials, very little is known about the electronic and magnetic properties of lithium-rich antiperovskites. We report static magnetization, M¨ossbauer, and NMR studies on both compounds. Our data reveal a Pauli paramagnetic-like behaviour, a long-range antiferromagnetically ordered ground state below ≈ 50 K and a regime of short-range magnetic correlations up to 100 K. Our results are consistent with a random Li-Fe distribution on the shared lattice position. In addition, Li-hopping is observed above 200 K with an activation energy of Ea = 0.47 eV. Overall, our data elucidate static magnetism in a disordered magnetically frustrated and presumably semimetallic system with thermally induced ion diffusion dynamics

GRK 2802: Densities, Surface Tensions, and Viscosities of Molten High-Silicon Electrical Steels with Different Silicon Contents

    No full text
Density, surface tension, and viscosity of various liquid electrical steels are measured at different temperatures, varying in their silicon content between 3 and 6mass%. Density and surface tension are determined using the maximum bubble pressure method, while viscosity is investigated comparatively using a vibrating finger viscometer and an oscillating crucible viscometer. The results are compared with models known from the literature. Based on this, the density of the steel [ρ] = kgm 3 and the surface tension [σ] =Nm 1 can be described as a function of temperature [θ] = °C and silicon content [Si] =mass% using the equations: ρðθ, SiÞ ¼ 1.28 θ 104.18 Si þ 9081.8, σðθ, SiÞ ¼ 10 4 ½ 0.00903 θ2 1.21494 Si2 þ 29.268 θ 1.987 Si 22334 . There is a lack of experimental data in the literature for high-temperature thermophysical properties for electrical steels. This underlines once again the novelty and significance of this study, as the determined thermophysical properties are essential for a wide range of applications. For instance, they are crucial in the production of metallic powders for additive manufacturing by atomization to adjust the properties of the powders precisely. The findings are also important for steelmaking itself, as the corrosion behavior of refractory material can be better determined

Particle image velocimetry inside in-axis and off-axis stretched Newtonian liquid bridges

    No full text
Supplemental material for the publication: "Particle image velocimetry of the flow field inside in-axis and off-axis stretched liquid bridges" by Fritzsche, L., Bauer, K., & Schwarze, R. (2025). The study introduces a novel experimental technique that enables comprehensive visualization and measurement of the internal flow field of liquid bridges throughout the stretching process. By embedding the liquid bridge in a refractive-index-matched immiscible outer liquid phase, unobstructed optical access to the entire volume is provided and optical distortions are eliminated. The data collection archived here contains the time-resolved PIV data (velocity fields) for all cases discussed in the publication, raw images for two representative cases (plate speeds 5 mm/s), and evaluated minimum diameters over time (including raw images) for liquid-air systems to compare to the liquid-liquid system of the PIV measurements
