    Get PDF
3D printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM) has transformed aero space, automobile, biomedical, and power related industries. Polymeric composites are also increasingly considered as one of the materials used in AM since they are light in weight, economical and hold the promise of improved mechanical properties. This paper examines the trade offs between bio- and petroleum-derived polymer and looks into the sustainable development. PLA and PHA biopolymer will have lower carbon footprints and biodegradability, and other conventional polymers such as ABS and PETG will offer better strength but at the expense of the environment. The paper analyzes a series of bio-based and non- bio- based polymer matrix which have been reinforced with natural fibers or nanomaterials, which are processed through Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). Their performance and durability are tested using mechanical, thermal and microstructural tests. To compare the effects on the environment of these materials, input is given in a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with attention on the carbon footprint, the use and consumption of energy, and water consumption. The results also indicate the environmental benefits of the bio-based polymers and provide areas where the performance gaps still exist. This study presents experimental data and decision-making model that can push sustainable polymer composite AM development to meet cleaner production and the circular economy manufacturing intentions

Financial inclusion is pivotal for India\u27s equitable development, significantly advanced by the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) are instrumental in this outreach, particularly in underserved rural areas. This study critically evaluates the performance of Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank (JRGB), Jharkhand\u27s sole RRB, in promoting financial inclusion through PMJDY from its inception in 2019-20 to 2023-24. Utilizing a descriptive approach based on secondary data from JRGB annual reports, SLBC documents, and government publications, the research analyzes JRGB\u27s account opening trends, rural-urban distribution, zero-balance account status, and RuPay card issuance under PMJDY. Findings reveal JRGB\u27s substantial contribution, marked by a significant increase in PMJDY accounts (exceeding 3.18 million by 2023-24) with a strong rural focus, aligning with its mandate. A declining trend in the percentage of zero-balance accounts indicates enhanced account activity. While RuPay card issuance also increased, a notable gap persists compared to the total number of accounts. The study concludes that JRGB has commendably fulfilled its role in PMJDY implementation, acting as a key driver for financial inclusion in Jharkhand, though enhancing RuPay card penetration presents an area for further improvement to maximize the scheme\u27s benefits

    Get PDF
Solar, wind, and hydro sources of energy are important factors in the worldwide shift to renewable energy because they potentially lead to achieving stable development and overcoming the negative effects of climate change. Renewable energy is however putting pressure on the available electricity infrastructure due to its unpredictability and seasonality. Smart grids can give renewable energy a solid foundation to inject into the grid due to the availability of digital communications, automation and bi-directional power flow. They aid dynamic load balancing, real time monitoring, decentralization of energy management and consumer participation through distributed generation programmes and demand response programmes. The paper explains the technical and economic barriers to the introduction of renewable energy into the smart grids and the variables that can be utilized to accelerate the process of implementing clean energy systems. Such issues, the researchers believe, include grid stability, storage, cybersecurity, high costs of capital, and regulatory limitations. Examples of renewable energy-smart grid integration in Germany, United States and India are also discussed to demonstrate both the successes and ongoing challenges in practice. These findings prove that, although technical solutions have been devised that reduce the effects of integration issues, such as increased storage capacity, predictive analytics, which is powered by artificial intelligence, and flexible grid systems, they cannot do so unless they are reinforced by economics and political funding. This will be achieved through investing in smart technologies, emerging pricing structures and facilitating regulatory frameworks. The paper also finds that one of the key solutions to the achievement of a robust and sustainable smart grid infrastructure that can support the implementation of large-scale deployment of renewables is a combination of technology, policy, and economic incentives (or integrated approach)

The smart grid is the next evolution of electrical power systems, a continuation of the old grids that involves a mix of digital and traditional power grid technologies to allow the potential to communicate in both directions, decentralized energy production and real-time monitoring. However, such a connection exposes it to cyber attacks, data fraud, and unauthorized access as well. Blockchain technology is one of these technologies because it is transparent, immutable, and decentralized to overcome these security obstacles. In this paper, an overview of blockchain technology smart grid security, architecture, consensus algorithm, and application are presented. Some of the most notable blockchain works in the smart grid include secure energy trading, decentralised identity management, detecting attacks and preserving privacy. When applied in smart grids, reviewed blockchain protocols also comprise Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS) along with Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT). Top of that, there are hybrid types of blockchain such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of things (IoT) that are also covered as the next picture to enable the system to become more scalable and interoperable. Power consumption, time wastage, and regulation hurdle is greatly considered. This paper has concluded that blockchain is a bottom-up technology, which can cause smart grid infrastructures to be much more resilient, transparent, and efficient

Unlike more traditional methods, predictive analytics is to a large extent founded on forecasting disease development and disease progression through the application of complex techniques foundational to data. The article will discuss how AI-based predictive analytics can be employed in order to ensure that diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases can be identified in their initial stages. Machine learning algorithms, including supervised and non-supervised versions, can be used to train predictive models using real-world patient data, to forecast subtle health trends that would otherwise not have been observed during traditional clinical diagnosis. It was systematic through the secondary data review of the published researches (20152024) where AI algorithms, such as logistic regression, random forests, deep learning, and natural language processing, were examined. Results highlight the reality that AI-based solutions are becoming increasingly accurate, sensitive, and specific as compared to traditional diagnostic techniques. Biasness in data, failure to interpret the model, and patient data security are also revealed in the discussion. Predictive analytics, however, has high potential of transforming healthcare to preventive, proactive, and cost effective model. Federated learning, wearable technologies, and real-time monitoring are highly likely to be utilized in the clinical setting in the future due to their further development

    Get PDF
Artificial intelligence (AI) on precision agriculture and in particular on the realization of intelligent irrigation can maximize crop yield with minimal use of water. Precisely, by subjecting the data gathered by soil moisture sensors, weather forecast, crop health monitor to AI algorithms, farmers could make informed decisions based on the data. This reduces wastage of water, resources are preserved, and it eliminates the amount of money used, which all sums up to sustainable agriculture. Using AI-enabled technology, irrigation schemes are adjusted on a real-time basis implying that crops receive the necessary water whenever they need it. This would especially be quite helpful in areas where the issue of water shortage is rampant whereby water would be maximized to guarantee higher produces. What is more, AI-based models improve over time, which further optimizes the irrigation strategies. Despite all these advantages, the problem of its high price of entry, data privacy, and inability of infrastructural coverage of rural areas need to be addressed. The role of AI in precision farming will be discussed in the given paper, and the focus will be on smart irrigation systems, the benefits of smart irrigation, and AI powered agriculture prospects
