Análise semiótica das estratégias discursivas de planos de aula on-line: Semiotic analysis of discursive strategies of online lesson plans
No full textOur doctoral research sought, through discourse analysis, to apprehend the theoretical and practical conception of the teacher about his or her classes through the analysis of lesson plans available online, in which one can find the planning of the classes, the teacher’s interpretation of legal documents, and his or her persuasive action over the students. We understand that, in this way, it would be possible to learn about the transmission and construction of knowledge in Brazilian classrooms at the beginning of the 21st century, our broader objective. The analyses were done using discourse semiotic theory (FIORIN, 2002; BARROS, 2001) and tensive theory (ZILBERBERG, 2011). This paper presents the results of the analyses of the discursive strategies of person, space and time, and what effects of meaning resulted from these choices and the constituted enunciator – enunciate relationship.Keywords: discursive semiotics; enunciation; discursive strategies; semiotics and education; lesson plans.Nossa pesquisa de doutorado buscou, por meio de análises discursivas, apreender a concepção teórica e prática do professor sobre suas aulas por meio da análise de planos de aula disponíveis on-line, nos quais se encontram o planejamento das aulas, o fazer interpretativo do professor sobre documentos legais e seu fazer persuasivo sobre os alunos. Entendemos que, dessa maneira, seria possível apreender sobre a transmissão e a construção do conhecimento nas salas de aula brasileiras no início do século XXI, nosso objetivo mais amplo. As análises foram feitas utilizando-nos da teoria semiótica discursiva (FIORIN, 2002; BARROS, 2001) e tensiva (ZILBERBERG, 2011). Ensino híbrido como ferramenta de incentivo à leitura dos clássicos da literatura no ensino médio: Blended learning as a tool to encourage reading classics in high school
No full textConsidering the low indicators of literary literacy of high school students (FAILLA, 2016), the aim of this study was to investigate if the contributions of hybrid education can influence the formation of readers in this school stage. The theoretical support was offered by authors who reflect on the importance of reading classical works and on hybrid teaching. The methodological option was for a case study, an intervention carried out in two rooms of a public school in the interior of São Paulo, with reading activities on Jorge Amado’s novel Capitães da Areia, developed with the support of hybrid teaching. This hybrid methodology resulted in a high involvement with reading, a relevant satisfaction of the students with the developed activities and with the more participatory forms of assessment and an intense involvement in games and debates.Keywords: the teaching of reading; high school; classical books; hybrid teaching.Considerando os baixos índices de letramento literário no Ensino Médio (FAILLA, 2016), o objetivo deste estudo foi investigar se as contribuições do ensino híbrido podem influenciar a formação de leitores nessa etapa escolar. O suporte teórico foi oferecido por autores que refletissem sobre a importância da leitura das obras clássicas e sobre o ensino híbrido. A opção metodológica foi por um estudo de caso, uma intervenção realizada em duas salas de uma escola pública do interior de São Paulo, com atividades de leitura sobre a obra Capitães da Areia, de Jorge Amado, desenvolvidas com o apoio do ensino híbrido. Essa metodologia híbrida resultou em um envolvimento elevado com a leitura, uma satisfação relevante do alunado com as atividades desenvolvidas e com as formas mais participativas de avaliação, e um intenso envolvimento nos jogos e debates.Palavras-chave: ensino de leitura; Ensino Médio; livros clássicos; ensino híbrido
Dicionário da COVID-19: compilação do corpus e levantamento dos termos: COVID-19 Dictionary: compilation of the corpus and terminological identification process
No full textThis paper presents a preliminary study on the topic of COVID-19 based on two study corpora: the Official Corpus, which is composed of 993 texts on the coronavirus published in official vehicles, and the Journalistic Corpus, which has 460 texts on this theme. In this work, the initial phases of the Dictionary in preparation are presented and they refer to the constitution of the study corpus. Some preliminary observations that the constituted corpus reveals regarding the COVID-19 terminology are also outlined. In this sense, this paper discusses the general characteristics of these texts that are related not only to statistical data, but also to the semantic information built into them. In a particular way, it is noticed that, through the recurrent lexical patterns found in these two corpora, the pandemic brought changes at the vocabulary level. These linguistic transformations reflect new ways of “living” and “living together” that were imposed on us in order to contain the contagion and the expansion of the new coronavirus.Keywords: COVID-19; terminology; official corpus; journalistic corpus.Neste artigo, apresentamos um estudo preliminar sobre a temática da COVID-19 com base em dois corpora de estudo: o Corpus Oficial, composto de 993 textos sobre o coronavírus publicados em veículos oficiais, e o Corpus Jornalístico, constituído de 460 textos a respeito dessa temática. Neste trabalho, são apresentadas as fases iniciais do Dicionário em elaboração, que se referem à constituição do corpus de estudo. São também esboçadas algumas observações preliminares que o corpus constituído nos revela a respeito da terminologia da COVID-19. Nesse sentido, discutimos características gerais e iniciais desses textos que estão relacionadas não só a dados estatísticos, mas também às informações semânticas neles construídas. De modo particular, notamos, por meio dos padrões lexicais recorrentes em nossos corpora, que a pandemia trouxe transformações em nível vocabular que são o reflexo de novas formas de “viver” e “conviver” que nos foram impostas com o intuito de conter o contágio e a expansão do novo coronavírus.Palavras-chave: COVID-19; terminologia; corpus oficial; corpus jornalístico
A escrita literária na Educação de Jovens e Adultos: Literary writing in Youth and Adult Education
No full textThis article aims to present initial reflections of an ongoing doctoral research about literary writing as a didactic resource applied to high school students (Youth and Adult Education) in a public school in the state of São Paulo. Some writing practices were proposed by the teacher-researcher that presupposed a dialogue with a classic literature work in order to analyze the responsive actions of students. Authors such as Cosson (2011, 2017), Rouxel (2013), Martins (2006) and Candido (1995) contributed to the reflection and development of the entire work. For the analysis of the students’ texts, a dialogical perspective of language was used, based on Bakhtin (2011), seeking to understand how students respond to the discourses and aesthetics present in the literature works.Keywords: literary writing; literature teaching; dialogism.Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar as reflexões iniciais de uma pesquisa de doutorado, em andamento, sobre o tema da escrita literária como recurso didático aplicado a alunos do Ensino Médio na modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) em uma escola de rede pública do interior de São Paulo. Foram propostas pela professora-pesquisadora algumas práticas de escrita que pressupunham o diálogo com vários clássicos da literatura. Um desses diálogos será analisado neste trabalho, os atos responsivos dos alunos à obra de Gil Vicente O Auto da Barca do Inferno. Autores como Cosson (2011, 2017), Martins (2006) e Candido (1995) contribuíram para a reflexão e desenvolvimento da pesquisa. Para a análise dos textos dos alunos, partiu-se de uma perspectiva dialógica da linguagem, baseada em Bakhtin (2011), procurando compreender como os alunos respondem aos discursos e à estética presentes na obra. Discursos da sensibilidade humana aos animais no Código Municipal de Proteção Animal de São Carlos: Discourses on human sensitivity to animals in the Municipal Animal Protection Code of São Carlos
No full textThis article aims to analyze discourses of human sensitivity to animals materialized in the Municipal Animal Protection Code of São Carlos, with the aim of identifying, describing and interpreting specificities of the legislative and differences of constancy and intensity in statements and denials that animals are endowed with qualities like sensations, emotions, consciousness and language. We tried to verify the hypothesis that sensations and emotions such as pain and distress are more constantly and intensely attributed to animals than cognitive and linguistic abilities. Our theoretical assumptions and analytical procedures come from Discourse Analysis derived from Michel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault, to which we combine knowledge from the History of animals and the History of sensibilities. The analysis demonstrates the predominance of sensitive and emotional attributions to animals.
Keywords: discourse analysis; history of animals; history of sensibilities; animal protection code.Este artigo pretende analisar discursos da sensibilidade humana aos animais materializados no Código Municipal de Proteção Animal de São Carlos, com o objetivo de identificar, descrever e interpretar especificidades do legislativo e diferenças de constância e intensidade em afirmações e negações de que os bichos são dotados de qualidades como sensações, emoções, consciência e linguagem. Procuramos verificar a hipótese segundo a qual sensações e emoções como dor e aflição são atribuídas aos animais com mais constância e intensidade do que habilidades cognitivas e linguísticas. Nossos pressupostos teóricos e procedimentos analíticos provêm da Análise do discurso derivada de Michel Pêcheux e de Michel Foucault, aos quais aliamos saberes da História dos animais e da História das sensibilidades. A análise demonstra o predomínio de atribuições sensitivas e emotivas aos animais.

Alfabetização e letramento de surdos: mapeamento das contribuições de pesquisas: Literacy of the deaf: mapping of research contributions
No full textThis article aims to analyze the contributions of research carried out between 2000 and 2019 on literacy for the deaf, in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). We adopt as a theoretical framework Cavalcanti (2011), Cárnio, Couto e Lichtig (2000), Fernandes (2006), Quadros e Schmiedt (2006), Lacerda, Albres e Drago (2013), Soares (2003), Sousa (2014), Sousa e Mourão (2018), among others. We opted for qualitative research, and the data collected totaled twenty-seven articles. For data analysis, we used the methodological procedure of content analysis by Bardin (2016). The results showed us little research in this database, addressing the theme proposed here. However, several contributions to the bilingual education of deaf people were found, prioritizing school activities and experiences based on visual aspects.Keywords: bilingual education for the deaf; teacher education; reading and writin.O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar as contribuições de pesquisas realizadas, entre os anos de 2000 e 2019, acerca da alfabetização e do letramento de surdos na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD). Optamos pela pesquisa qualitativa, e os dados coletados totalizaram vinte e sete trabalhos. Para a análise dos dados, utilizamos o procedimento metodológico da análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2016). No full textThe history of linguistics is usually narrated as a series of “revolutions” in which a new paradigm would completely replace its predecessor, whose work should be left aside from current developments. By resorting to an analysis of the entry on etymology in the 18th century Encyclopedia of the French Enlightenment, it is possible to deny this supposed linearity of theoretical and methodological advances in linguistics and recognize that they occur by accumulation and cyclical unfoldings, never abruptly.
A história da linguística é narrada habitualmente como uma série de “revoluções” em que um paradigma novo substituiria por completo seu predecessor, cujo trabalho deveria ser deixado à margem dos desenvolvimentos atuais. Recorrendo a uma análise do verbete sobre etimologia na Encyclopédie dos iluministas franceses do século 18, é possível negar essa suposta linearidade dos avanços teóricos e metodológicos da linguística e reconhecer que eles se fazem por acúmulo e desdobramentos cíclicos, jamais de forma abrupta.
