Get PDFIl presente articolo mira a difendere l’attendibilità testuale e storica del lemma della Suda (s.v. Στράττις, Σ 1179 Adler) relativo allo storico Stratti di Olinto (FGrHist/BNJ 118). L’analisi mette in luce come lo scetticismo con cui la critica più recente ha guardato a tale lemma non risulti giustificato. Il passo della Suda rappresenta una preziosa testimonianza che permette di ricostruire, nelle sue linee essenziali, il profilo di uno storico di Alessandro Magno che visse in età ellenistica e fu autore di almeno tre opere: Sulle Effemeridi di Alessandro, in cinque libri; Sui fiumi, le fonti e i laghi; e Sulla morte di Alessandro
