Kata kunci : bioetanol, fermentasi, hidrolisis enzimatik, kulit pisang Abstrack- Banana is the one of main consumption that produced so much in Indonesia. Banana’s peel has a low economic value because it is not used and usually just thrown away and then its can becomes to waste. Compositions of banana’s peel are B & C vitamins, water, protein, carbohydrates, fat, potassium, iron and lignocellulose is high and can be degraded into simpler forms that is glucose can be used as the basic material of bioethanol. Purpose of this experiment are to understanding the influence of the banana’s peel, the mass concentration of NaOH and then mass of banana’s peel toward bioethanol products with used yeast. Banana’s peel which used in the experiment were ambon, awa, kapas, mauli, talas and susu. The methods were used in this experiment was pretreatment 1% of H2SO4 and NaOH (4- 14%), hydrolysis of enzimatic used a cellulase enzyme and buffer solution and also fermented used yeast and nutrient. Then bioethanol was filtered and taken to analyzed by Gas Chromatograph. The results of this experiment can concluded that the highest levels of bioethanol produced in banana’s peel is mauli which produced bioethanol at a concentration of 0.053% and the lowest in ambon at a concentration of 0.00021%. The highest levels of bioethanol produced in talas at treatment with NaOH 14% was 0.133% and the lowest at NaOH 4 % at 0.029%. The capital expenditures are part of direct expenditure in the regional budget. The other elements of capital expenditures are: personnel expenditure, and spending on goods and services. Planning and realization for capital expenditure in the regional budget for each Government Regional Work Units is a part of policy regional financial management in fiscal decentralization policy which need be increased to achieve value significantly over time. Increasing in planning and realization of capital expenditures is directly related to the amount of capital expenditure element that strengthens physical infrastructure which would strengthen economic growth for social welfare, regional competitiveness for facilitation and liberalization a single market and production base in AEC era. This study examines the role of agency theory and institutional theory in relation with planning and realization of capital expenditures of 82 (Eighty Two) Government Work Units of 3 (Three) regional government, namely Banjarmasin City, Banjar District, and Tanah Laut District in South Kalimantan Province. This study contributes to the accounting literature to assess role of conceptual framework with agency theory and institutional theory. The result of study showed: there are differences in the implementation of capital expenditure to meet AEC pillars and social welfare purposes by increasing capital expenditure through the role of the agency theory, and institutional theory. Relationship of agency theory and institutional theory with social welfare and AEC with the amount of C Contingency coefficient 0,313 and Cramer Coefficient of Association 0.191 indicates there are “Moderate correlation: substantial relationship” and “Small correlation; Lower relationship association. Brantas river is a largest urban river upplying raw water and drainage in Jawa Timur Province, Indonesia. Dense population along the river is a threat of pollution due to anthropogenic pollutants. In this study, we characterize the magnetic properties and heavy metal contents of surface sediments in various locations along the Brantas river. This study aims to enhance our understanding of the relationship between magnetic parameters and heavy metal contents in surface sediments from river. Surface sediment samples were taken and measured by a series of magnetic measurements, mineralogical analysis and heavy metal contents. The results show that magnetic minerals in surface sediments of Brantas river are dominated by PSD magnetite mineral. This relatively coarser grain size can be caused by magnetic particles produced by erosion around the river. Surface sediments have very high mass-specific magnetic susceptibility varying from 844.0 to 7231.4 × 10-8 m3kg-1 (on average of 3022.9 × 10-8 m3kg-1) because influenced by the surrounding volcanic environment. Based on the pearson correlation analysis, magnetic susceptibility has strong positive correlation with the heavy metal contents of ferromagnetic elements such as Fe and Co so that it can potentially be used as an indicator of pollution of both these heavy metals in the Brantas river. This present work shows the novelty of the relationship between magnetic susceptibility and heavy metal contents in surface sediments from river in volcanic and tropical environment. BIO-CYCLE FARMING SYSTEMS ON SUB-OPTIMUM LANDS: OPTIMIZING INTERNAL NUTRIENT FLOWS IN AGRICULTURAL-ECOLOGICAL SYSTEMS ON THE TIDAL LOWLAND

    No full text
The strategy of sub-optimum land uses including tidal swamp lands through a commodity based approach is difficult to be implemented instead of an agricultural-ecosystem based approach. In line with that is a strategy of fertilization also has to refer to the agricultural ecosystem based approach. To formulate the strategy of fertilization in the tidal swamp land it is necessary to carry out an observation of nutrient flow potentials in the agricultural ecosystem. This preliminary study was limited to the observation of N flows at a farm scale agroaquaculture system in the tidal swamp land during rainy season at November 2011 - January 2012. The total N capacity of the system reached 167 kg ha-1. In the amount of 84 kg ha-1 of the total capacity was available for biomass production in the system, coming from river water, fishpond muds, and rainwater successively 55, 16, and 13 kg N ha-1. Optimizing N flows of the system related to the fertilization strategy could be reached through the development of farm lands into an agro-aquaculture system. With the ratio of land area of raised beds and fishpond of 3:7, the system supplies 31.5 and 36.7 kg N ha-1 in order to produce biomass on raised beds and fishpond respectively

One-pot selective conversion of biomass-derived furfural (FFald) into cyclopentanone (CPO) or cyclopentanol (CPL) using bimetallic nickel-based supported on TiO2 (denoted as Ni-M(3.0)/TiO2; M = Co and Fe; 3.0 is Ni/M molar ratio) have been investigated. Catalysts were synthesized via a hydrothermal method at 150⁰C for 24 h, followed by H2 reduction at 450⁰C for 1.5 h. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) showed that the formation of Ni-Co alloy phase at 2θ = 44.2⁰ for Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 and Ni-Fe alloy at 2θ = 44.1⁰ for Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2. The amount of acid sites was measured by using ammonia-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD). Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 has three NH3 desorption peaks at 180⁰C, 353⁰C, and 569⁰C with acid site amounts of 1.30 μmolg1, 1.0 μmolg1, and 2.0 μmolg1, respectively. On the other hand, Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 consisted of NH3 desorption peaks at 214⁰C and 626⁰C with acid site amounts of 3.3 μmolg1 and 2.0 μmolg1, respectively. Both Ni-Co(3.0)/TiO2 and Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 catalysts were found to be active for the selective hydrogenation of FFald to furfuryl alcohol (FFalc) at low temperature of 110⁰C, H2 3.0 MPa, 3 h with FFalc selectivity of 81.1% and 82.9%, respectively. High yields of CPO (27.2%) and CPL (41.0%) were achieved upon Ni-Fe(3.0)/TiO2 when the reaction temperature was increased to 170⁰C, 3.0 MPa of H2, and a reaction time of 6 h. The yield of CPO+CPL on the reused catalyst decreased slightly after the second reaction run, but the activity was maintained for at least three consecutive runs.
