Variations of Demonstration Learning Model in Expressing Images in Detail Using Direct Practice Method in Early Childhood

    No full text
This study aims to find the activity of teachers and children as well as the result of fine motor development of children in expressing themselves through the detail drawing movement by applying demonstration model combined with example non- example model and direct practice method. This study used qualitative approach and classroom action research (car) with qualitative and quantitative analysis method that was conducted by three times, the research subject was teachers and children, and the data was collected through observation and interview. This research consisted of the following steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was. The results show that the fine motor development of children increase after the observation was conducted on teachers who implement learning and in children who follow the learning drawing in detail

TERMODYNAMIC OF Fe(III) ADSORPTION BY MERCAPTO-SILICA HYBRID IN A Fe/Mn SYSTEM

    No full text
The purpose of this study is to investigate the optimum contact time and adsorption capacity of adsorbent through the batch technique in multimetal solution of Fe/Mn. The amount of metal ions being adsorbed was calculated by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) based on the difference between the concentration of metal ions before and after adsorption. In the Fe/Mn system optimum adsorption for SG and HMS occurred at 60 and 30 minutes of contact time, respectively. Adsorption of Fe/Mn by SG adsorbent is in compliance with Freundlich isotherm pattern where the value of KF is 141.49 L/µmole for the Fe(III) and 0.20 L/µmole for Mn(II). Adsorption of Fe/Mn solution by using HMS adsorbent was in compliance with Freundlich isotherm model for Fe(III), while the adsorption of Mn(II) in the same solution complied with the Langmuir isotherm model. Fe(III) ion has a KF value of 0.34 L/µmole. If it was calculated using the Langmuir model, the adsorption capacity and adsorption energy for Fe(III) adsorption on HMS were 279.25 mg/g and 11.47 kJ/mole, respectively. Whereas for Mn(II), the adsorption capacity was 8.32 mg/g and the adsorption energy was 17.97 kJ/mole. Keywords: Adsorption, multimetal, silica gel, mercapto-silica hybri

Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 4 hari kerja, yakni sejak tanggal 18-21 Juni 2007.

HEPATOPROTECTIVE EFFECT OF Leucosyke capitellata Wedd. (KAJAJAHI) LEAVES AGAINST CCl4-INDUCED LIVER DAMAGE IN MICE

    No full text
Leucosyke capitellata Wedd. (Kajajahi) has been considered as an antioxidant to relieve oxidative stress. It was triggered by excessive reactive oxygen and nitrogen species which may lead to the initiation and progression of liver damage. The aim of this study was to investigate hepaprotective effect of decoction of L. capitellata Wedd leaves using carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced hepatic damage in mice. Healthy male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into six groups of 5 mice each. On day 1, all groups excluding control group were intraperitoneally induced CCl4 1.5 ml/kg bw. On day 2 until 10, control group received aquadest po, CCl4 group received Na CMC 0.5% po and reference group received silymarin at dose of 100 mg/kg bw po. For 3 decoction of L. capitellata Wedd leaves (DLC) groups received DLC at doses of 0.35, 1.75 and 3.5 g/kg bw po. On day 11, blood and liver samples were collected for biochemical (AST, ALT, TP and ALP) and liver histopathological examinations. The results revealed that DLC was able to significantly decrease ALT, AST and ALP levels (P<0.05) as well as significantly increase TP level (P<0.05). Liver histopathological examinations supported the biochemical analysis in repairing liver damage. Therefore, it can be concluded that DLC in this present study may possess hepatoprotective effect which are compared with reference drug of silymarin. Keywords: Leucosyke capitellata Wedd, biochemical analysis, liver damag
