    Wetland and Ecological Education in English Teaching

    English so far becomes the main instrument in communication. It also delivers other things relating to ecological ones. Ecological education recently becomes the main issue because of rubbish and flood. Teaching ecological education in English teaching should be made as one of manifestation that language does not only talk about the language itself. It means that language actually attends to communicate anything new relating to life. Here it is about ecology. The reality so far illustrates that not many teachers in school teach ecological education. That thing is seperated from language teaching, including English. Based on the assumption, it is important and necessary to teach ecological education based on English teaching. There are several main points that should be paid attention. Those are the teachers’ capacity in using all phonemena relating to ecology to be inserted in language teaching. Teachers are required to ascertain what phonemena are. Banjarmasin as one of wetland city in South Kalimantan Province can be taken as material in language teaching. All things relating Banjarmasin as wetland city can and should be considered. Banjarmasin sorrounded by many rivers is one of the uniqueness itself. Using English to all components in wetland is the richness itself. When the language teaching is full and rich of new vocabularies, it can be new challenge for teaching, teacher, and the learner. Usually, the interestedness will appear when there is the new nuance. The learners are interested and curious in that. The approach and method in teaching certainly must be created in an interesting manner and creatively so that the learners are involved actively in that activity.     Status P-tanah padalahan kering marginal yang diperlakukan dengan lubang resapan biopori termodifikasi

    Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lapangan di Stasiun Lapangan Pusat Pelatihan dan Diseminasi Teknologi Peternakan dan Pertanian Terpadu (P2DTP2T) di Sungai Riam, Pleihari, Kabupaten Tanah Laut, dan di laboratorium Jurusan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Unlam. Kegiatan di lapangan meliputi: (a) penetapan tapak penelitian, (b) pembuatan lubang resapan biopori (LRB), (c) pengisian LRB dengan residu tanaman dan gulma hasil pembersihan lahan, (d) pemasangan papan label tapak pengamatan, dan (e) pengambilan sampel tanah. Selanjutnya di laboratorium yang dilaksanakan adalah analisis sampel tanah, yang terdiri dari: (a) pengering-anginan sampel tanah, (b) penumbukan sampel tanah kering-angin, (c) pengayakan sampel tanah kering-angin, dan (d) penetapan parameter penelitian. Sampai dengan laporan kemajuan ini dibuat sudah dilaksanakan semua kegiatan lapangan dan kegiatan laboratorium. Hanya saja karena penelitian ini menggunakan faktor waktu pengamatan (T) sebagai salah satu faktor penelitian, penelitian ini baru sampai pada pengamatan T0 (awal, tanggal 5 Mei 2011 ) dan T1 (2 bulan setelah instalasi LRB, tanggal 5 Juli 2011). Yang akan dilakukan berikutnya adalah pengamatan T2 (4 bulan setelah instalasi LRB, 5 September 2011). Jika penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan pembiayaannya, maka pengamatan akan dilanjutkan pada T3 (8 bulan) dan T4 (12 bulan). Penetapan parameter kimia sampel tanah dari pengamatan T0 dan T1 yang sudah dilakukan adalah pH tanah, dan P-tersedia (Bray-1), sedangkan Jerapan P dan Fraksinasi P sedang dan akan dilakukan dalam 1 (satu) bulan ke depan. Berdasarkan data yang sudah diperoleh, pH tanah meningkat menurut kedalaman dari 3,5 di lapisan atas (10-20 cm) hingga 3,8 di lapisan bawah (100-110 cm). Setelah diperlakukan dengan LRB selama 2 bulan, pH tanah di masing-masing kedalaman meningkat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan organik di dalam tanah mempengaruhi sistem keseimbangan asam-basa di dalam larutan tanah, yang menyebabkan pH tanah berubah. Sejalan dengan peningkatan pH tanah, P-total dalam tanah juga meningkat akibat perlakuan LRB, hanya saja stratifikasinya menurut kedalaman berlawanan dengan pH tanah. Sebagian besar P-total ini diduga masih berupa fraksi yang tidak tersedia, karena perubahan P-tersedia akibat LRB belum terlihat pada bulan kedua

    South Kalimantan, which has a very large forest area, certainly offers a variety of natural beauty that can be a main attraction for tourists, one of which is the Kembang River natural attraction located in Tambela Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. The purpose of this study was to formulate a development strategy for Tourism Attraction Objects (ODTW) in Tambela Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. The study was conducted at the Tourism Attraction Object (ODTW) in Tambela Village, Banjar Regency. The time of the study was carried out in January 2018 until March 2018. Tourism development strategies were obtained based on data in the field for the development of the Tourism Attraction Objects of Tambela Village, which was immediately coordinated with the Provincial Forestry Service, Banjar District, Aranio Sub district, Head of Village Aranio, Resort Police and Military Headquarters at the ward District Aranio regarding the ODTW management system in Aranio/Tambela Village. So that it can create a beneficial synergy between the two parties, empower the community in management through socialization, and counseling on tourism development, in order to increase productive human resources.
