Innovative Cooperation and Classroom Responsibility Practices of Teachers in Public Elementary Schools
This study described the innovative cooperation and classroom responsibility practices of teachers in public elementary schools in the Boston District, Division of Davao Oriental, Philippines. It employed a descriptive quantitative correlational design to examine the relationship between the two variables. The respondents in this study were 131 teachers, selected through universal sampling. Data were analyzed using the mean, Pearson r, and regression analysis. Findings revealed that innovative cooperation, in terms of process, mediation, peace, and values (M = 3.56, interpreted as high), was frequently observed by the teachers. Classroom responsibility practices, which included humanity, carefulness, courtesy, and quality (M = 3.31, interpreted as moderate), were occasionally observed. A significant positive relationship was found between innovative cooperation and classroom responsibility practices (r = 0.58, p < 0.001). Furthermore, the domains of innovative cooperation were found to significantly influence classroom responsibility practices (R² = 0.37, p < 0.001). Based on these findings, it is recommended that public school teachers participate in symposia and training programs organized by the Department of Education to support continuous professional growth. These results underscore the practical significance of fostering innovative cooperation as a strategy to improve teachers’ classroom responsibility and enhance overall educational outcomes

The Impact of Technological Trends on Training and Service Delivery in Hospitality Education among the Technical Universities in Ghana
The use of artificial intelligence, simulation software, online reservation systems, virtual reality, and other smart technologies is a requirement for hospitality training to reflect real practice. The technologies not only enhance experiential learning but also facilitate students to arm themselves to meet the evolving demands of the industry. The study examined how technological trends influence service delivery and training within hospitality education in Ghana\u27s technical universities. With the descriptive survey design, the study gathered quantitative and qualitative data from 150 respondents, made up of lecturers, administrators, and final-year hospitality students at Takoradi Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, and Accra Technical University. The purposive and stratified random sampling techniques were employed in selecting the respective respondents. Data collection instruments were structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data was analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis, while thematic analysis was utilised for qualitative answers. Findings exhibited a moderate level of technological infusion within hospitality education, with the highest mean score in student access to learning technologies. Regression analysis revealed that, while most of the competencies were not significantly affected by technological developments, efficiency in operational procedures was negatively correlated, suggesting areas of improvement in implementation. Factor analysis identified key challenges and opportunities in technology adoption, including faculty digital literacy, institutional policy support, internet connectivity, budget constraints, and collaboration with industry partners. The study concludes that while there is a foundation for technology-enhanced hospitality education in Ghana, there remain yawning gaps in infrastructure, finance, and stakeholder attitudes that work against full integration. Institutional policy support, financial injection, and industry collaboration are recommended to enhance the digitalisation of hospitality education in technical universities
Organophosphate Poisoning Management in a Primary Healthcare Facility in Nigeria: A Case Report
Background: Organophosphate poisoning causes a range of symptoms affecting multiple organ systems. Delayed presentation and diagnosis may be catastrophic and ultimately fatal. The population most at risk are young adults, and in our environment where health seeking behaviour does not favour early presentation in the hospitals, management is challenging especially in primary health facilities with limited capacity to test and manage.
Objective: The objective of this case report is to describe the presentation, investigation and management of a case of organophosphate poisoning in a primary health centre (PHC).
Case Presentation: We report our experience in managing a 21 year old female patient who presented following ingestion of an organophosphate containing poison about 7 hours post incident. She was drowsy at presentation and history was given by her sister. She was stabilized, managed with atropine and fluids. Her general condition improved significantly over the first 24 hours and she was discharged on the 4th day post admission. A referral to a psychiatrist was made on discharge.
We discuss relevant considerations of management of such poisonings, the clinical features, investigations and outcomes. We also discuss the limitations with management of these cases in our setting.
Conclusion: Incidence of organophosphate poisoning is increasing and mortality rates are relatively high due to late presentation and delays in management. Furthermore, limitations in primary care centres with distant referral centres puts a demand on the primary care physician to institute all life saving and initial management before referral. The index case was managed as a case of organophosphate poisoning secondary to a suicide attempt with a favourable outcome and subsequent referral to a psychiatrist. A high index of suspicion is needed in an environment with a young population
Impact of Sleep Quality on Performance and Well-being among Healthcare Personnel
Sleep quality is a determining factor in the physical, emotional, and cognitive performance of healthcare personnel, whose performance has direct implications for the healthcare provided to the population of Teziutlan, Puebla. This study hypothesizes that poor sleep quality directly affects the work and school performance of healthcare personnel, compromising their daily functioning, concentration, and well-being. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate sleep quality in healthcare personnel in the region, with the aim of identifying and analyzing the quality of sleep among healthcare workers and students and how it relates to their performance, mood, and the use of substances that affect it. The study was carried out in June 2025, in which, through the application of structured forms with 18 questions and using as a sample 68 participants of active health personnel and in training from different hospitals, clinics, health centers, and institutions in the region, it was revealed that 36.8% of the participants sleep only 6 hours during their workdays, and only 11.8% achieve an optimal rest of 8 hours, which means that when waking up, 55.9% of the staff feel "tired but functional," and only 4.4% feel "very rested and energized," reflecting a general perception of fatigue and accumulated stress. These findings support the need to recognize and implement strategies that prioritize sleep as an integral part of the professional care and training of healthcare personnel
The Role of IT Governance Frameworks in Enhancing Organisational Cyber-Resilience
The escalating frequency and sophistication of cyber threats highlight the urgent need for organisations to establish robust mechanisms that safeguard digital assets while ensuring operational continuity. The study aims to examine the Role of IT Governance Frameworks (COBIT, ITIL) in enhancing organisational Cyber-Resilience. Traditional approaches to cybersecurity often emphasise technical controls but fall short of addressing governance, strategic alignment, and resilience. A narrative review was considered appropriate because it allows for an integrative synthesis of diverse literature, theoretical contributions, and empirical findings without being restricted to the rigid parameters of systematic reviews. Information Technology (IT) governance frameworks such as Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) provide structured methodologies that integrate risk management, compliance, and operational excellence. This paper examines the role of COBIT and ITIL in enhancing organisational cyber-resilience, with particular attention to their complementary strengths in governance, process optimisation, and service management. COBIT emphasises strategic alignment, value delivery, and control objectives, enabling organisations to bridge the gap between business goals and IT risk mitigation. ITIL, on the other hand, focuses on service lifecycle management and continuous improvement, ensuring operational resilience in the face of disruptions. Challenges persist, particularly in leadership commitment, cultural alignment, and performance measurement. Without addressing these barriers, even the most robust frameworks may fail to achieve their intended outcomes. By analysing case studies and synthesising current literature, this work illustrates how organisations can leverage both frameworks to create a synergistic approach that not only prevents and detects cyber incidents but also enhances recovery capabilities. The discussion underscores the importance of embedding governance structures into cybersecurity strategies, fostering a culture of accountability, and aligning IT services with business continuity goals. Ultimately, integrating COBIT and ITIL strengthens decision-making, improves resource allocation, and enhances overall resilience against emerging cyber risks. The findings suggest that organisations adopting a hybrid governance framework can better anticipate, withstand, and adapt to cyber disruptions, positioning themselves competitively in a digital economy increasingly shaped by risk and uncertainty. In conclusion, the role of IT governance frameworks in enhancing cyber-resilience is multifaceted, encompassing strategy alignment, operational management, incident learning, and national-level coordination
Development and Standardization of Expected CHMSUan Core Values Scale (ECCV-S): A Culturally Relevant Psychometric Instrument for Higher Education
In the Philippine higher education setting, particularly within public universities like Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU), indigenous approaches to value assessment remain limited. This study aimed to develop and standardize the Expected CHMSU Core Values Scale (ECCV-S), a culturally contextualized instrument to measure students’ internalization of the university’s core values—Excellence, Compassion, Environmentalism, Love of Country, Social Responsibility, Integrity, Openness, and Resilience. Using a mixed-methods design, qualitative data from focus groups guided item generation, while quantitative data established content validity, construct validity through Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and reliability. The scale demonstrated strong psychometric properties, with excellent fit indices and high internal consistency. Its application can inform institutional policies and programs fostering value development among students, thereby advancing holistic higher education outcomes
