    Enhancing Literacy: A Comparative Analysis of the Effectiveness of Project Bear and Arangkada Pagbasa Reading Interventions in Claver National High School (S.Y. 2022-2024)

    This study evaluates the effectiveness of two reading intervention programs, PROJECT B.E.A.R and ARANGKADA PAGBASA, implemented in Claver National High School over two academic years (2022-2024). The Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) pretest initially identified many students as struggling readers. Post-intervention results indicated a marked improvement in reading skills, demonstrating the effectiveness of both programs. The study highlights the importance of collaborative efforts involving teachers, parents, and the local government unit (L.G.U.) in addressing reading difficulties. Comparative analysis of both programs offers insights into effective strategies for enhancing literacy among high school students

    Deep Learning Approach for Classification of Tweets in Detecting Cyber Truculent

    Identification and Classification of truculent tweets is a serious problem. Studies have shown how truculent tweets on Twitter have caused anxiety and in extreme cases death of victims. Various researches have applied Machine Learning approaches while others Deep Learning in classifying toxic sentences. Impressive results have been obtained using Deep Learning approaches, the focus of the research is to develop an extended model for deep learning classification using cyber tweets. The Model developed in this research work used labelled dataset (twitter_parsed_dataset.csv), Maximum Entropy was used to extract keywords and entities. One-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (1d-CNN) was used to detect truculent in tweets. The experimental result from the developed model consider four preprocess datasets for classification, the Unigram, Bigram,  Trigram and N-gram. The result that was obtained for Accuracy 96.1%, Precision 93.6%, Recall 73.7% and F1-Score 83.8% for different test during classification. The result obtained from the developed model for accuracy, 96.1% was compared with related work Banerjee’s accuracy of 93.97%. The developed model can be used for auto detection of truculent messages in cyberspace

The review then delves into the various applications of BIM across different stages of a building project, from conceptual design to construction and facility management. Understanding the concept of BIM involves grasping its fundamental principles, components and how it revolutionizes the AEC industry. By synthesizing current research and industry practices, this review aims to provide a holistic understanding of BIM’s role in advancing modern construction practices and its potential for future development

    This study, which examines the management of Cercospora leaf spot disease in Urdbean, contributes to the benefit of agriculture by preventing the occurrence of plant diseases. The purpose of this study was to look into how various fungicides affected the management of Cercospora leaf spot in Urdbean. During the Kharif season of 2023, the study was conducted at the Rainfed Organic Agriculture Research Farm Narayan Bagh, which is part of the Department of Plant Pathology at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (Utter Pradesh). The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. Fungicides were foliar applied after the initiation of the disease. Results showed that among the tested treatments, including the control, carbendazim 50% WP @ 0.10 g/L (86.77%), followed by Trichoderma harzianum 1% WP @ 10 g/L (18.33%), propineb 70% WP @ 0.15 % (19.53%), propiconazole 25% WP @ 0.10 g/L (20.43%), Trichoderma + Pseudomonas @ 0.10 g/L (22.27 %), chlorothalonil 75% WP @ 0.15 % (23.60%), mancozeb 75% WP @ 0.20 % (24.50%), and Pseudomonas fluorescens 1% WP @ 10 g/L (33.27 %), they were significantly superior over control

    Enhancing Indoor Environmental Quality in Ghanaian Public Health Facilities: Challenges and the Role of Automation Technologies

    Traditional methods of managing IEQ in public health facilities in Ghana tend to be reactive rather than proactive, often relying on manual interventions that may not adequately address the complex interplay of factors affecting the indoor environment. This study aimed to investigate the indoor environmental quality in public health facilities through automation technologies, emphasizing Esikado District Hospital and Shama Health Centre. This study employed a mixed-methods research design incorporating qualitative and quantitative approaches. Analyses including descriptive statistics and documentation analyses were conducted to assess the existing legal framework. The study revealed that there were no existing legal frameworks or regulations to govern IEQ standards in Ghana hence hospitals had to rely on international guidelines to maintain IEQ at the facilities assessed. Both hospitals had their CO2 (400 ppm & 270 ppm) and Air particulate (8.2µg/m³ for PM2.5 & 4.2 µg/m³ for PM2.5) within the acceptable limits according to international guidelines. The study promotes well-structured policies that give environmental elements in hospital settings priority by highlighting the direct link between higher IEQ and improved health outcomes for both patients and staff. The study also pointing out that there aren\u27t many local laws controlling IEQ, the study promotes the creation of thorough legal frameworks that can guarantee constant compliance with IEQ requirements in public health facilities, eventually creating a more secure and comfortable medical setting. The study concludes that regulations and legal frameworks must be formulated in the country to enforce healthcare facilities better to comply with acceptable IEQ limits in their facilities. Implementing IEQ-controlling automation technologies will go a long way in improving overall facility management and indirectly influencing patient recovery

    Present investigation was carried out at Dairy Science Laboratory of Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Science, College of Agriculture, Dr. BSKKV., Dapoli (M.S.) to study the Utilization of Arrowroot Powder (Maranta arundinacea L.) in the Preparation of Probiotic Shrikhand. In present study, shrikhand prepared from buffalo milk and Arrowroot powder was used in preparation of Probiotic shrikhand. Shrikhand made with different proportions of Arrowroot powder (5 per cent, 7.5 per cent and 10 per cent) and a fixed sugar level (70 per cent) and using Lactobacillus casei as the probiotic culture. It was found that Probiotic shrikhand made from utilization of Arrowroot Powder at 5% was best in present investigation and it may conclude that Arrowroot Powder can be successfully utilized for preparation of Probiotic shrikhand

    Explicit Dynamic Failure Analysis of a Reinforced Concrete Beam Using Impact Load

    Concrete beam is one of the common components in building structure, in the long-term use process, may be affected by various factors and damage, such as chloride ion penetration, carbonization, cracks and so on. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the failure mechanism of concrete beams. This paper analyzes the failure of a reinforced concrete beam by using the method of display dynamics simulation, analyzes its failure process, the research shows that: When the beam is subjected to load, it has a large displacement and deformation. The maximum displacement is 164.12mm; the stress distribution is uneven, and the maximum equivalent stress is about 25Mpa; after the load reaches a certain degree, the beam appears obvious cracks and failures, and the scope of failure gradually expands with the increase of the load

    The Public Safety and Security Policy Model in African Countries

    Most African countries lack comprehensive formal public safety and security policies that articulate a national understanding of guiding principles, values, goals, strategic environment, threats, risks, and challenges. This paper proposes a Public Safety and Security Policy (PSSP) model aimed at assisting African nations in developing robust national policies and implementation plans. The model draws upon a conceptual framework informed by definitions, assumptions, conditions, and relationships among key concepts, addressing critical areas of PSSP development. Informed by extensive literature review and expert consultations, the model incorporates four foundational bases: (1) theoretical underpinnings of public safety and security (PSS) science, (2) regional and global best practices, (3) constitutional and legal frameworks, and (4) existing domestic safety and security systems and practices. This integrated approach offers actionable policy recommendations. The proposed PSSP model facilitates the identification and articulation of clear visions and missions for public safety and security. It also establishes a two-stage institutional reform process, delineating political responsibilities for policy formulation from managerial and operational duties for implementation, thereby enhancing governance and accountability. By addressing real-world challenges faced by African nations, the PSSP model has the potential to contribute significantly to socio-economic development, governance improvement, and the promotion of peace and stability. Its practical impact is evident in how it can help nations navigate complex safety and security landscapes, ensuring alignment with good governance principles such as the rule of law and sustainable development goals
