ArchiMob Release 2 (2019) - Audio samples
The ArchiMob corpus represents German varieties spoken on the territory of Switzerland. It is the first electronic resource containing long samples of transcribed text in Swiss German, intended to be used for studying spatial distribution of morphosyntactic features and for natural language processing.
This dataset contains a sample of audio files for evaluation purposes. The samples represent small segments of speech from 5 different participants. The complete set of audio files is available on request
Surface Groups Malta 1984-2020
Surface groups for Malta (years 1984 - 2020) as georeferenced TIF files.
Classified land cover (surface) of each pixel indicated as:
0 = built-up surfaces: surfaces with buildings of non-natural materials such as concrete, metal, and glass (e.g., residential buildings, industrial plants, roads)
1 = grassy surfaces: surfaces covered by grass or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., natural grassland, city parks)
2 = surfaces with crop fields: surfaces with vegetation for agricultural purposes (e.g., hayfields, vineyards)
3 = forest-covered surfaces: surfaces covered by trees or other plants with similar surface reflectance (e.g., mixed forests, moors)
4 = surfaces without vegetation: surfaces with (almost) no vegetation or buildings (e.g., bare rock, sand plains)
5 = water surfaces: any type of water surface (e.g., rivers, lakes)
9 = missing surface classification, most likely due to cloud cover
If a TIF file for a given year within the observation period is missing, no valid satellite imagery was available for that year (e.g., due to constant cloud cover)
Surface Groups San Marino 1984-2020

IT Skills in Vocational Education and Training
The natural language processing method used in this project delivers two datasets, which are contained in the zip-file “UBase_ITSkills”. See Eggenberger C, Backes-Gellner U (2023) IT skills, occupation specificity and job separations. Economics of Education Review. 92:102333. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.econedurev.2022.102333 for more details.
The dataset “EDV_BERT_for_Ubase.csv” shows the values for the different IT skills across Swiss Vocational Education and Training (VET) occupations. It is a comma-separated file.csv file.
The dataset “topickeywords_for_Ubase.xls” shows the keywords for each IT skill (i.e., topics). It is a regular xlsx-file.
The .txt file "documentation_IT Skills in Vocational Education and Training" contains the description of the variables
Qualitative interviews on paternity leaves in Lausanne - 2012
