DEVELOPMENT OF LONG RANGE ANIMAL TRACKING SYSTEM USING IOT TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract The population of our planet is growing at a rapid pace, with an annual growth of 1.1 percent. The population is expected to continue to grow and reach 8.4 billion by 2030. Although this is a fairly positive fact, this phenomenon carries with it enough negative aspects. And one of which is the lack of food, which requires the rapid development of agriculture. Agriculture will have to increase its production massively by 70 percent. The solution to this problem is the technology of the Internet of things. With the help of technology we can avoid morbidity in livestock, excess in power consumption and generally make life easier for the farmers. In this work, a strong focus will be placed on tracking the location of animals, which will be quite cheap and of high quality. This research aims to find the most optimal technologies to track animals on long ranges, while being low-priced and effective enough
Automatic error detection and correction of Kazakh text
The amount of complicated documents and texts has increased exponentially in recent years, necessitating a deeper understanding of machine learning technologies in order to effectively identify texts in numerous applications. Text normalization is one of the best decisions. It is the reduction of all words of the text to the original form. This paper investigates a layered strategy for fixing mistakes in Kazakh language literature downloaded from the Internet. This work is devoted to the study of automatic systems for checking the spelling of the Kazakh language using natural language processing tasks. Currently, most of these types of machines are designed for English, and few are processed for the Kazakh language. The paper discusses the methodology for evaluating automatic spelling checkers and error correction, developed by the author. A description of the selected systems is given. The main goal is to validate the use of n gram for agglutinative languages. On the basis of the study, the best system of use is distinguished, between the n gram and Symspell
APPLICATION OF NEW METHODS OF TEACHING BIOLOGY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF STEM
Abstract This study examined the current advancement in implementing methods of teaching biology within STEM at the schools of Kazakhstan. Data were collected from 33 teachers and 218 middle-school students representing various educational institutions such as State Lyceums, General Education Schools, and NIS/BIL/RPHMS via questionnaire. Results showed that the number of teachers applying STEM techniques has significantly increased, whereas many students are still not entirely familiar with the practice. One significant issue that both teachers and students have noted is the lack of high-tech equipment available at most schools. Therefore, the second part of the research investigated the possibility of introducing STEM experiments using only readily accessible materials. Ten students from the State Lyceum observed and participated in four STEMrelated biological experiments, and their feedback was further recorded. Despite the apparent enhancement of the students' engagement in the studying process and positive reviews regarding STEM experiments, a lack of specialized hardware has remained a significant drawback. Additional consequences and limitations are discussed
EFFECTIVENESS OF USING SELF-REGULATED STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT TO IMPROVE WRITING AN OPINION ESSAY IN ENGLISH
Abstract Foreign language students have challenges during the writing tasks like planning and organizing, expressing their ideas, making spelling mistakes, and lacking Vocabulary and knowledge about writing and the structure of an essay. The study explores the effectiveness of teaching a self-regulated strategy development approach to improve writing an opinion essay for seventh-graders. During the survey, questionnaires, pre-essay, and post-essay were conducted with twenty participants. Our analysis demonstrated improvements in writing skills through teaching students POW and TREE strategies during stages of SRSD. The students can express their minds clearly, learn to use linking words in an essay, decrease spelling mistakes, and improve Vocabulary. Writing opinion essays became more accessible and exciting for students. We conclude that the SRSD approach can help achieve high-quality writing tasks according to the students' level
Management of the Firm’s Economic crisis
The better-prepared firms usually survive economic shocks higher than the rest. The goal of the research is to analyze the effect of the economic crisis on companies’ performance in Kazakhstan. The goal of this research is to find ways for small and medium-sized enterprises to survive in the face of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. My research is focused on third largest industry by employment share in Kazakhstan, which is the distribution sector (Bijnens & Konings, 2018). I investigate the probability of surviving of more than 19,000 grocery stores from 2017 to 2021 and investigate the factors of stores' that influence their survival rate during economic crisis caused by the COVID-19. By implementing the Cox proportional hazards model and OLS, I explore the effects of different variables like location, region, sales size, and type of store, which are regarded as key determinants of a store's survival rate. Results of analysis showed that due to the COVID-19 crisis, 1.8 times more retail outlets closed in 2020 compared to previous years and that rural outlets with high sales values had higher survival rates after the COVID-19 crisis than urban outlets. In addition, I found out that traditional grocery outlets have higher survival rates than wholesale stores. This statement is backed up by non-parametric and as well as parametric tests that were performed during the research. These results of study could be useful in reducing the harmful consequences of crisis during recessions from a normative standpoint. Additionally, this research can act as a guide for grocery stores' crisis management. There is very little research in this field in Kazakhstan, and the proposed thesis can help companies choose their strategic directions in crisis management in Kazakhstan
THE USE OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE INTERCULTURAL-COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE
Abstract. Apart from linguistic competence, today’s globalized world demands Intercultural communicative competence (ICC), hence, integration of ICC in EFL classes has become one of the vital issues. Ten steps of Stoller (1997) is considered to be an effective tool of PBL which can create opportunities to improve ICC. In order to maximize the benefit of PBL in the classroom, the author suggests creating tasks by relying on Stoller’s (1997) ten steps of PBL. Tasks should be based on PBL essentials, at the same time tasks are closely interconnected with ICC main elements as: respect, tolerance, curiosity and authenticity. This article attempts to present the role of ICC in our society and how it can be culminated through project-based learning
Overcoming Language Learning Plateau: EFL Teachers’ Perceptions and Practical Recommendations
This study explores EFL teachers’ perceptions of the language learning plateau and identifies the recommendations teachers have for overcoming it. Thematic analysis is used to analyse the data from ten English teachers who teach students from intermediate to advanced levels. The findings show that there is a lack of awareness of the term among EFL teachers, yet the idea of the plateau is familiar. Surprisingly, some teachers are found to be in the plateau themselves. This study also discusses the issues teachers are struggling with, and some useful strategies they use to help students move beyond the plateau
METHODS OF MEASURING MATHEMATICAL CREATIVITY
Abstract. One of the fundamental purposes of educational systems should be to teach creative people, and every math lesson should emphasize creativity in mathematics. As a result, it's critical to understand both the qualities of math creativity and the basic factors that determine a person's intellect. The goal of this study is to illustrate many ways for measuring creativity in children that have been offered by famous scholars, as well as to determine whether there is a link between math creativity, math ability and general giftedness. Many academics believe that everyone is creative, but that their levels of creativity are unequal. As a result, scholars have previously examined the concept of creativity levels. There were explained several methods to evaluate creativity in order to make it readily to find out the levels of students' creativity, where the authors are well-known researchers from all over the world. Some of the methods mentioned have been utilized in other research on creativity
EXPLORATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF ESOTERIC PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES ON THE INVOLVEMENT IN THE LEARNING PROCESS
Abstract In this paper several types of esoteric programming languages have been chosen to analyze whether they can help to learn programming and arouse interest of non-programmers. Esoteric programming languages were designed to explore the possibilities of developing any ideas with programming languages, in other words, to implement an idea in any human-understandable way. We chose programming languages which were as close as possible to the spheres of real life, such as cooking - to write the code as a recipe of any dish, literature - the code format looks like a literary work, movies - using quotes from movies to write the code, painting - the written code looks like a picture and also jokes - using slang to make the code more understandable to a certain people. During the work we used observational research methods to understand the influence of esoteric programming languages on students' involvement. Also the selected esoteric programming languages helps to understand whether it is worth learning programming and whether learning one of the esoteric programming languages facilitates the learning process
